The New Wave of Opportunities
Greetings from Organizational Excellence!
Welcome to the Spring catalog. We have a new design that we hope you enjoy: the wave.
You will begin to see the wave on many of OE’s materials, including this catalog and many
of our flyers. It represents the wave of training opportunities that OE brings to Classified
employees.
Waves represent an influx of new ideas and energy. This is like the new live training classes
that OE staff members have developed for Classified employees, including incredible office
technical support and SAA training. OE also offers top-tier training from FranklinCovey. In
addition, there are plenty of online training courses that have been added to My
Professional Learning Network (MyPLN). This growth in training resources reflects the
many ways that OE is supporting employees in their efforts to learn, whether it is in-person
or online.
In addition, the wave symbolizes an important decision. For many of our Classified
employees this can mean the decision to go back to school or to pursue a promotion…or
both. Luckily, OE has established partnerships with local colleges to bring professors from
college campuses to LAUSD headquarters. This offers employees the chance to go back to
school after work and on the weekends to get their AA, BA or Master’s Degree. To make
this more affordable, OE offers annual tuition reimbursement that can cover part of the
cost of school. This means that OE makes it easier for Classified employees to make the
decision to continue their education and to work towards their promotion.
We hope you like the new design. Please take a look at the numerous class offerings listed
in this catalog that unlock opportunities for you at work or for your future aspirations.
Remember to always Learn, Grow, and Succeed!
Best,
Rick Jyles
