NEW SEATS FUNDRAISING APPEAL Since we opened in early 2002, the Terry O’Toole Theatre has been in
daily use as both a creative teaching space for students of North Kesteven
Academy and as an Arts theatre, proudly serving our local community.
After 17 years of intensive use, our auditorium seats are sadly tired and
need replacing; quotations to replace the seats are in the region of £30k.
The theatre is run on a not-for-profit model, with any small surplus at
year-end being used to maintain, update and replace equipment; in 2018
we purchased a new lighting desk and sound console, after the original
equipment failed, thus our contingency funds are greatly depleted.
We are therefore launching our ‘New Seats Fundraising Appeal’ and
hope you will support the theatre with a voluntary donation of just £1 per
full price ticket when you book; all funds raised will go directly towards
                                                       enhancing your visitor experience.

• Jo Webb - Piano
• Simon Read - Double Bass
• Gethin Jones - Drums
A not-to-be missed, critically-acclaimed concert, celebrating the
traditional ‘Hot Jazz’ music of Louisiana-born Clarinettist, Edmond Hall.
The title Profoundly Blue comes from the 1941 hit album which featured
Hall, along with Meade Lux Lewis and Charlie Christian. Cox leads the
quartet with this as a starting point and continues through a programme
of lesser-known tunes from the albums Rumpus on Rampart Street and
Petit Fleur. Together they bring to life a fine selection of Hall’s work with
Eddie Condon, Teddy Wilson and of course, Louis Armstrong, in this
fantastic tribute to one of the true legends of Jazz.

Far, far away lies a curiously mechanical kingdom in which everything
ticks but nothing laughs; a land ruled by The-Queen-Who-Never-
Smiles. The cold-hearted Queen is determined to control everyone
and everything... Even Time itself!
Our tale begins as Snow White seeks refuge in the
mysterious Wild Wood, far away from the jealous Queen.
Here she discovers that she is not the only one refusing to
live in a world without laughter. Under the trees, little steps
are being taken to bring about big changes! A timeless
fairy tale, re-told in Angel Heart Theatre’s visually striking
innovative style, with beautifully crafted puppets.

New Perspectives present… A MAN WITHOUT A PAST
by Aki Kaurismäki adapted for stage and directed by Jack McNamara
One minute you know who you are. The next minute your mind's a blank slate...
The lives of an eclectic community living in abandoned shipping containers are thrown
upside down when a mysterious man arrives. With no memory of his name or former life,
they begin to help him to find his feet. Whilst a daily serving of soup from a local charity worker
begins to nourish his heart and soul, the surprise rediscovery of his past puts his new life in jeopardy.
A part-melancholic love story, part-deliciously deadpan comedy, which takes you on one man's
extraordinary journey from anonymity to unexpected salvation.
