“¿De qué discutían por el camino?” Pero ellos se quedaron callados, porque en
el camino habían discutido sobre quién de ellos era el más importante”
Querida familia, recuerdo que cuando estaba en el Seminario, haciendo mi
formación para ser sacerdote, una vez por año nos daban los nuevos oficios para
trabajar durante un año en diferentes áreas –nuestro seminario era muy grande–
cuando nos llamaban, yo quería que el prefecto me diga: este año serás “bedel”, el
bedel era el encargado de distribuir los trabajos y velar para que todo esté bien en el
seminario, implicaba tener “un cargo”, pero no lo fui por muchos años, recién
cuando estaba finalizando mi seminario me dieron ese puesto. Ahora, no es donde
me quiero detener, porque en realidad lo que me interesa reflexionar con ustedes es
como se me había ganado en el corazón tener un cargo, ser alguien, yo no quería que me toque ser jardinero, no me
gustaba. Que interesante, yo no recuerdo si le pedí a Dios que El me diera el lugar que me correspondía en ese momento
porque sabía que eso me iba a enseñar y que era la voluntad de Dios. Realmente no lo recuerdo ahora, no se si sucedió así.
Pero, “que equivocado que estaba”. Hoy este Evangelio para mi es fuerte, me recuerda ese tiempo y otras instancias de mi
vida, Jesús dice: “¿De qué discutían por el camino?” Pero ellos se quedaron callados, porque en el camino habían discutido
sobre quién de ellos era el más importante”. Cometemos un grabe error cuando pensamos que tener “un cargo nos hace
alguien”, tener un cargo no me hace alguien; nos hace alguien saber nuestra identidad, saber que somos hijos de Dios, esto
es lo que me hace el más importante en la vida. No pocas veces en la vida luchamos por cargos, puestos, nos esforzamos y
vivimos ansiedades por esto. Pero ¿Qué sentido tiene un cargo si no soy feliz?, ¿Qué sentido tiene sentir que tengo poder si
no es mi lugar y Dios nunca lo quiso así?, ¿Cuál es el sentido de querer ser el más importante para los ojos del mundo?. Que
locura, miremos alrededor, mucha gente en este momento pelea por esto, pelea por ser el más importante para el mundo
cuando en realidad la verdad de las cosas pasa por otro lado, camina por otro lado. Si quiero ser el más importante debo: 1.
reconocerme como hijo de Dios; 2. vivir la Voluntad de Dios en mi vida; 3. liberarme de toda posible tentación de poder a los
ojos del mundo. En el Evangelio Jesús sigue diciendo: “El que reciba en mi nombre a uno de estos niños, a mí me recibe. Y el
que me reciba a mí, no me recibe a mí, sino a aquel que me ha enviado”. El nos muestra como debemos ser, lo que parece
muy extraño, es el camino correcto: “ser como niños”. Acá podemos pensar: “pero los niños son fácilmente manipulables;
engañados y extraviados”. En su naturalidad suelen pasar por alto la verdad y son atraídos por mitos y fantasías. Pero eso no
es lo que se entiende por tener una fe como la de un niño. Jesús promovió una fe humilde y sincera en Dios, y él usó la
inocencia de un niño como un ejemplo. Emulando la fe de los niños, simplemente tenemos que tomar a Dios en su palabra.
Como los niños confían en sus padres terrenales, debemos confiar en que nuestro "padre que está en los cielos buenas
cosas a los que le pidan" (Mateo 7:11).
Ser como niños implica detenerse en la vida para aprovechar cada cosa sencilla que el nos regala. En lo cotidiano
un niño vive, en sus papás, la providencia de Dios, los niños no se preocupan por mañana, viven abrazados a el hoy y no
buscar un cargo. No buscan un lugar. Solo buscan la felicidad y viven la felicidad en lo sencillo. Buena Misión. Rezo por ti.

porque en el camino habían discutido sobre quién de ellos era el más importante. Entonces Jesús se sentó, llamó a los Do-
ce y les dijo: “Si alguno quiere ser el primero, que sea el último de todos y el servidor de todos”.
Después, tomando a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos, lo abrazó y les dijo: “El que reciba en mi nombre a uno de estos
niños, a mí me recibe. Y el que me reciba a mí, no me recibe a mí, sino a aquel que me ha enviado”.
