University of Higher Education and Research,
Tamaka, Kolar.
The Institution's medical background, Humanitarian
values, Compassion, Approachability, Social
Commitment and the subsequent research towards
the most precious thing, the human life, is the core
theme.
The graphic form of a person in the centre of a bud
represents the humanity. It denotes the growing
process of life and its existence. And the two hands
safeguarding them show the care and a sense of
security. It is also capable of holding something within
the vast expense of knowledge by the University for
the people's Benefit. Hence, the motto “Knowledge for
Posterity” is very appropriate and gives a punch in
Red. The four light half blue circles (smaller to bigger)
depict the unending quest for knowledge and
imparting it to a wider horizon, growing higher and
higher.
And finally, the whole unit is embedded in a “D”
shaped graphic template as background.
COLOURS USED
Deep Blue : Credible, Confident and Dependable,
Represents Peace, Tranquility,
Stability, Harmony, Trust, Security,
Cleanliness and Loyalty.
Light Blue : For Sky and Water (colour schemes for
4 half circles)
Red : A dominant color for strength
Green : For Nature, Health and Generosity. Its
cool quality.

Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Respected Chancellor,
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor and Officers of Sri
Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education
and Research, I wish all the stakeholders and
patrons of the Academy A Very Happy and
Prosperous New Year 2018.
I deem it a privilege in presenting the
Calendar of Events of the Academy for the
year 2018.
The purpose of Calendar of Events is to
accommodate all the Academic,
Administrative and other important activities
of the Academy , so that none of the
programmes / activities will be missed out.
This hand book is expected to help the faculty
and external esteemed members of various
bodies and committee’s to plan, organise and
participate in the scheduled activities.
I take this opportunity to thank faculty
who were involved in planning the events
pertaining to the sections in a well-planned
manner. I would like to place on record the
