Baltimore to Host
SSIA’s 2018 Convention

Retail is very important. There needs to be a wow factor when
people come into your shop. Shoe repair has changed and you
need to look upscale. You need to look rich to charge rich.

So tidy up. Look professional. Wear an apron or a nice shirt.
Make sure your hands are clean.

Doudaklian: I want to improve my work/life/family balance.
I want to bring in more work through social media, but I also
want balance. My family life is important to me, so I don’t work
                                 late nights anymore.

Finding good employees is a huge challenge for our industry, so
I don’t know if I can balance the workload that way. I may raise
