Julie Wescott Weissend, LEED AP ID+C

Julie grew up in Miami, Florida. She has a
Finance degree from the University of Florida with
concentrations in Architecture and Real Estate.
She started in commercial real estate finance,
ultimately deciding 30 years ago to work with her
                               husband, Paul Weissend, at Dovetail
Construction Company, Inc. Together, they have
worked on a wide variety of historic structures,
stabilizing and repairing what is significant, while
                               implementing 21st century, high performance
technology in the new construction designs. As a result, the buildings
continue to inspire and they can better stand the test of time. The Weissends
developed the first building in the U.S. to be LEED Platinum. It is listed on
the National Register of Historic Places and Net Energy Zero. It is also the
first (and currently the only) verified commercial Net Zero building in the
state of Virginia. Julie is also a licensed realtor. She has been the President
of the Junior League of Richmond, and she has served on many community
boards of directors. She currently serves on the boards of Virginia
Commonwealth University’s Foundation, Monument Avenue Preservation
Society, Historic Richmond and 1708 Gallery. She also serves on the
Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity Finance Advisory Committee
and sits on the Advisory Committee for The Branch Museum for Architecture
and Design.

Live Auction
Bidding for the Live Auction begins at 8:00 PM, on Saturday, March 14, 2020.

Professional Benefit Auctioneer & Fundraising Services

Brian Pontius developed a love for the bid
growing up in his uncle’s auction business.
In 2009, he picked up his own gavel and
                 now conducts many auctions throughout
                 central Virginia. Brian’s electric personality
and ability to connect with an organization
and their supporters help his clients
                 consistently exceed their fundraising goals.
He appreciates the opportunity to assist these important
missions.
