STUDENT INDUSTRY TOUR
A unique opportunity for second year students to get an overview
of the UK furnishings industry
The Furniture Makers’ Company is
the City of London livery company
and furnishing industry’s charity,
which fosters and supports the
industry by nurturing skills and
expertise, supporting those in need
and inspiring excellence.
About the tour
The four day Student Industry Tour
takes college and university
students around a number of
furniture businesses to give them a
broad insight into how the industry
operates.
Students will get a unique
opportunity to see inside factories,
design offices and retailers of some
of the UK’s leading furnishing
businesses, and get an
understanding of sales, marketing,
manufacturing and design.
They will also have the chance to
meet and socialise with other
students who share the same
passion for design and making
furniture. Fun nights out in the city
help everyone to bond and make
the tour a truly unforgettable
experience.
The Student Industry Tour is
generously sponsored by Festool.
