and Traineeships
What Is It?
School based Apprenticeship and Traineeships (SAT) are designed
for Year 11 and 12 students, they allow students to gain real-world
experience (and get paid) whilst working towards a nationally
recognised qualification and completing your high school studies.
The workplace skills and confidence students gain during their SAT
provide a solid foundation for any career pathway.
SAT’s are funded under User Choice Funding and can be completed
at the same time as a VETiS funded course.

How to Apply:
✔ More flexibility and variety
1. Make
an appointment with our Traineeship and Job Placement

✔ Be a step ahead of the competition when appling for jobs 2. Create
a resume / update if required;
✔ Drop
a school subject (not Maths or English) to complete a SAT 3. Research
the apprenticeship or traineeship in the specific industry
and gain 8 QCE points you are interested in;
✔ Points towards your individual ATAR score 4. Apply
for positions that are available or advertised within the
school or start looking for an employer;
5. Complete
a training contract once you have been accepted as an
Apprentice or Trainee;
6. Start
your SAT.
