                                      Registration Policies and Guidelines:
             Please read the descriptions of each camp/activity carefully as the information varies.
             Programming is based on the grade a child is entering in the 2020-21 school year.
   1) An individual is not registered for a program or activity until all necessary forms are completed and
      returned to the Recreation Department with the correct payment. To avoid disappointment, please read
      all age requirements and registration fees.

   4) Please pay special attention to the beginning and end times of all activities. You CANNOT drop off
      children early or pick up children late. If you do, you will be charged an extra fee. There is no
      supervision outside designated times.

   5) Disruptive and unsafe behavior will not be tolerated at any of our camps or programs. Disruptive and
      unsafe behavior is anything that, in the opinion of the Parks & Recreation Director or camp supervisors,
      compromises the safety of others or quality of instruction. Individual situations will be assessed and it
      will be up to the discretion of the Director whether a participant will be allowed to return to the program.

   6) Activities with the Marcellus Recreation Department are NOT pro-rated.

   7) Once you have registered yourself or your child for an activity, we do not make follow-up calls. You
      will only hear from our office if there is a change to the program.

                                                Refund Policy:
                IF THE RECREATION OFFICE CANCELS A CAMP, ACTIVITY, OR TRIP:
 We will refund all money if we have to cancel any of our programs. You will be required to sign a voucher to
be submitted to the Town in order to receive the refund. Please allow at least thirty days to process the voucher
                                         and the return of your money.

             IF YOU (OR YOUR CHILD) WITHDRAW FROM A CAMP, ACTIVITY OR TRIP:
If you cancel your registration BEFORE a program starts, you will receive a refund less a $20.00 fee. However,
if you withdraw from a program after it has started, you will not receive a refund unless we cancel the program,
someone on a waiting list can fill your vacant spot, or your request is accompanied by a doctor’s written excuse.
 ALL refunds will be pro-rated and decided at the discretion of the Director. Please allow at least thirty days to
                                process the voucher and the return of your money.
                 NOTE: Fees paid for summer recreation activities are not tax deductible.
   It is the policy of the Marcellus Recreation Department that no child will be denied participation in the Children’s
                 Recreation Morning Program or the Learn to Swim Program because of an inability to pay.

Join Melissa Dougher, Art Teacher at North Syracuse School District for summer
camp where young artists use their imaginations as they develop art skills,
learn new techniques, and produce original works of art!
          Location: Marcellus Park- Annex Pavilion Time: 10 am to noon

Week 1 -Art in Nature, July 13-16 Mon-Thurs
During this camp you will create fantastic artworks inspired by nature! Projects include:
Sunflower Mandala Dot Paintings, Circle Loom and Cardboard Weaving, create a
mandala using black glue, and then paint over it with a bright and colorful watercolor
background, Painting on Canvas: Create a mystical creature of your choice and paint
on canvas with acrylic paint! (Dragons, mermaids, unicorns, etc.!) and Mystical
creature slime making!
Week 2 – Under the Sea, July 20- 23 Mon-Thurs
Enjoy a week of artmaking adventure Under the Sea! Projects include:
Driftwood windchimes, Under the sea slime making, Underwater animal silhouettes on
canvas: Choose your favorite underwater creature and paint as a silhouette on canvas
with a background blending from light to dark! Under water stained glass painting
with glue and watercolors: Create an underwater creature of your choice, and outline
with black glue to create a stained-glass effect with watercolors!

Each camper will have their own supplies to use throughout the week and supplies will be
sanitized daily. We will maintain space between each camper and do encourage campers to

    completed and returned to the Recreation Office with correct payment. Before registering a child please review fees, age
    requirements, and guidelines.

       provided for any injury that may be sustained as a result of a hazard associated with the activity registered
       for by the undersigned and accepts financial liability for any medical cost resulting from an accident or

       Town/Village of Marcellus and its employees are not responsible for injuries sustained. In the event that
