COVID-19 & GSU Guidelines Update

State of Emergency declared in Utah November 9-23, 2020.
In-person Girl Scout activities are NOT permitted at this time.

Girl Scouts of Utah is considered a social gathering and an extracurricular activity,
and the following restrictions are effective through November 23, 2020 per the
State of Utah:

Social gatherings that include people from multiple households are not
     allowed
Organized extracurricular activities are not allowed
Masks are mandated throughout the state of Utah

Action needed: Review GSU's COVID-19 Guidelines for further guidance and
what you can do for your Girl Scout(s).

Pre-Screening and Symptom Checks

GSUSA recently made an update to COVID safety guidelines that encourages a
pre-screen or symptom check prior to meetings and activities. We have added a
COVID Symptom Check form to the website. When in-person activities
resume, all troops should ask their families to complete this form prior to any in-
person activities, which includes troop meetings, field trips, etc.

Troop leaders need to collect these forms at the beginning of the meeting or prior
to the meeting by email and hold onto these forms until June. Forms should be
submitted with Financial Reports at that time. (Troop leaders may utilize
resources to make this easier on parents, such as online survey software or
google docs, but forms need to be completed prior to arrival or brought to the
meeting.) The goal of this updated process is to keep the meeting safe from
contagion and do the very best to ensure our girls are educated and healthy.
Please check the newly added "Pre-Screening and Symptom Check" section in
the dropdown menu on the COVID-19 Guidelines for more information and a link
to the form.
