INTRODUCTION

1. The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) relate to the Daily Mail’s Lotto £250k Giveaway
   Guaranteed (the “Promotion”). The Promotion gives entrants a chance to win a prize with their
   National Lottery Lotto ticket by taking part in the Promotion running in the Daily Mail and The
   Mail on Sunday (“The Mail”).
2. By entering into the Promotion you agree to be bound by these Terms.
3. The Promoters are Associated Newspapers Limited (“Associated Newspapers”) and Camelot UK
   Lotteries Limited (“Camelot”). Camelot is responsible for all elements of prize fulfilment.

ELIGIBILITY AND TAKING PART IN THE PROMOTION

4. In order to participate in the Promotion, you must:
       a. be a resident of the UK or Isle of Man;
       b. be 16 or over (proof of age may be requested) and eligible to play National Lottery games
           (as set out in Rule 4(C)(1)(a) of the Rules for Draw-Based Games Played Interactively (14th
           Edition) and Rule 4(I)(1) of the Rules for Draw-Based Games Played at Retail or by Offline
           Direct Debit (17th Edition), both available on the National Lottery website –
           www.national-lottery.co.uk). Players under 18 need a parent/guardian to enter the
           Promotion on their behalf;
       c. in addition to the above, not be an employee (or an immediate family member living at
           the same address of any employee) of any Camelot Group Company* or Associated
           Newspapers group company;
       d. have purchased a National Lottery Lotto Ticket (a “Ticket”) at a National Lottery Retailer
           or via the National Lottery website for one of the National Lottery draws set out in clause
           11 below; and
       e. have purchased a copy of the The Mail for six different days. Six unique numbers (which
           can be found on the back page of the printed paper (a “Unique Number”)) from six
           different copies of The Mail from different days between 25th January 2014 and 31 January
           2014 inclusive will be required. One of the Unique Numbers must be from The Mail on
           Sunday.
5. By entering the Promotion, you acknowledge, accept and agree that if you are a winner, you will
   have no right to anonymity.

HOW TO ENTER

Online Entry

6.   For a chance to participate in the Promotion – (via online) you must:
        a. purchase a valid Ticket for one of the National Lottery draws set out in clause 11 below;
        b. purchase a copy of The Mail for six different days, one of which must be The Mail on
             Sunday (within the date range set out above in clause 4.e);
c. visit www.mailrewardsclub.co.uk and login to your existing Mail Rewards account or
           register for a Mail Rewards account;
        d. within the date set out in clause 12 below, enter six Unique Numbers from The Mail. Six
           different Unique Numbers from different days (within the date range set out in clause
           4.e), one of which must be from The Mail on Sunday, are required to enter the Promotion;
           and
        e. upon entry of the sixth Unique Number, you must enter your unique Ticket number from
           your valid Ticket (see clause a above). The Ticket number is the 15 or 19 digit number
           located in the top left of your Ticket.

Postal Entry

7. For a chance to participate in the Promotion (via post) you must:
        a. purchase a valid Ticket for one of the National Lottery draws set out in clause 11 below;
        b. purchase a copy of The Mail for six different days, one of which must be The Mail on
            Sunday (within the date range set out above in clause 4.e above);
        c. by the date set out in clause 13 below, post six Unique Numbers cut from the back page
            of each newspaper and state your unique Ticket number from your valid Ticket (see clause
            a above) along with your full name, address and daytime telephone number (the Ticket
            number is the 15 or 19 digit number located in the top left of your Ticket).
8. All postal entries must be sent to Win £250k, P.O. Box 5000, Dept. LQM, Alton, Hants. GU34 9BX.
   Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. No responsibility is accepted for entries damaged, lost or
   mislaid. Only original Unique Numbers from the newspapers will be valid. Unique Numbers found
   to be altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with in any way will be void. Photocopies of the
   Unique Numbers are not acceptable.

Free Entry Route

9. Persons resident in Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man, that satisfy the eligibility criteria in clauses
   4.b and 4.c above can register for a chance to participate in the Promotion without purchasing a
   Ticket or a copy of The Mail. You will need to:
       a. visit www.mailrewardsclub.co.uk and login to your existing Mail Rewards account or
           register for a Mail Rewards account;
       b. find a free copy of The Mail, for example from the library or from a friend, in order to
           answer a question about each paper using the ‘Missing Numbers System’. You must
           answer six questions about six different copies of The Mail for six different days, one of
           which must be The Mail on Sunday (within the date range set out above in clause 4.e
           above); and
       c. if the question is answered correctly, a Unique Number will be allocated to the account.
           By the date set out in clause 12 below, you will need to answer six questions correctly and
           obtain six Unique Numbers. You will not be required to enter a Lotto Ticket Number.

10. Addresses will be verified. Free entry is limited to one entry per person.

ENTRY PERIODS AND VALID TICKETS

11. Saturday 25th January 2014, Wednesday 29th January 2014, Saturday 1st February 2014.

Online Entry (including free entry)

12. Unique Numbers must be entered by 11.59pm on the fourth day following the date of publication.
    For example, the Unique Number printed in the edition of The Mail dated 25 January 2014 must
    be entered by 11.59pm on Wednesday 29 January 2014. All six Unique Numbers and a valid Lotto
    Ticket Number must be entered by 11.59pm on Tuesday 4 February 2014. The same deadlines
    apply for the free entry route for IOM and NI residents.

Postal Entry

13. Postal entries must be received by Wednesday 5 February, 2014.

General

14. You will be required to provide various mandatory details including your full name and address.
15. You will also be required to provide your unique Ticket number (located in the top right of your
    Ticket). Your Ticket number will be checked to ensure it is a valid number for the Promotion. You
    must keep your original Ticket, or printed validation slip, as proof of purchase – this may be
    required to be shown before the prize is awarded. You will also be required to enter a Mail Unique
    Number.
16. Each number printed on a Ticket can only be entered once per day (regardless of the number of
    Lotto draws the Ticket is valid for). If the Ticket was purchased on behalf of a syndicate, it is the
    responsibility of the members of the syndicate to decide who will enter the Promotion and how
    any prize won may be shared. A prize will only be paid to the person who has registered their
    details to enter the Promotion.
17. Entries using methods such as a macro, a script or the use of automated devices or processes are
    not allowed and all such entries will be disqualified. Incomplete, corrupt or entries not in
    accordance with entry instructions will not be accepted. No responsibility is accepted for entries
    lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of
    any kind.
18. Registrations and entries not complying with these Terms will not be valid.

THE DRAW AND PRIZE

19. All valid entries will be automatically entered into a random draw (the “Promotion Draw”). The
    Promotion Draw will take place shortly after the entry period closes and will be supervised by an
    independent observer. At least twice the amount of names in relation to winners will be drawn to
    allow for reserve winners.
20. There is 1 (one) prize of £250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand pounds) to be won.
21. If you are the winner, your first name and post town will be announced in a printed edition of the
    Daily Mail. A representative from Associated Newspapers will contact the winner within 21 days
    of the Promotion Draw, via the contact telephone number provided upon registration, to confirm
    your win. Associated Newspapers may also contact the winner by email if the phone number isn’t
    provided upon entry. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the first attempt, the
    Promoters reserve the right to offer the prize to a reserve winner. Please note the corresponding
winning Ticket or validation slip will need to be retained as this may need to be shown prior to
      any prize being awarded.
22.   The Winner will then be contacted by Camelot so that a personal visit can be arranged with a
      Camelot representative. The Camelot representative will request physical proof of purchase in the
      form of a valid and original corresponding Lotto ticket or validation receipt.
23.   Camelot will award the prize to the winner by cheque. Camelot is responsible for all elements of
      prize fulfilment. Associated Newspapers Limited will not be liable for any act or omission of
      Camelot. Any prize queries should be addressed to Camelot at the address below.
24.   Where a winner is under 18, prizes will be awarded to the parent/guardian with the relevant Mail
      Rewards account, which shall constitute good discharge of all obligations of Associated
      Newspapers to award a prize. Associated Newspapers accepts no responsibility or liability with
      regards to the delivery of a prize from a parent/guardian to a player under 18.
25.   The winner will be obliged to take part in editorial publicity.

GENERAL

26. All personal data provided to Associated Newspapers and/or Camelot, during entry or otherwise
    in relation to the Promotion, will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
    (the “DPA”). Personal data will be held and used by Associated Newspapers and Camelot for the
    purposes set out in these Terms. Your personal data may be transferred to countries outside of
    the European Economic Area which may not have laws which offer similar protection to that
    offered to you under the DPA and you consent to such transfer and to the processing of your
    personal data in such countries for the purposes set out in these Terms.
27. Associated Newspapers and Camelot’s decisions will be final and no correspondence will be
    entered into.
28. Associated Newspapers and Camelot reserves the right in their reasonable discretion: (a) to
    disqualify any claimant, competitor or nominee whose conduct is contrary to the spirit of the rules
    or the intention of the promotion and to declare as void any or all of their claims or entries based
    on such conduct; (b) to declare as void any claims or entries resulting from any printing,
    production and/or distribution errors (including but not limited to any error(s) in the Daily Mail,
    the Mail Online and/or other printed materials) or where there has been error(s) in any aspect of
    the preparation for or conduct of the promotion materially affecting the result of the promotion
    or the number of claimants or the value of claims; (c) to add to or to waive any rules on reasonable
    notice; and/or (d) to cancel the promotion or any part of it at any stage in the event of
    circumstances beyond Associated Newspapers’ reasonable control. Associated Newspapers and
    Camelot reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, suspend or cancel the Promotion
    should virus, bugs, tampering, fraud or other causes beyond their reasonable control corrupt or
    hinder the administration, security or proper play of the Promotion.
29. To the fullest extent permitted by law (and subject to clause 31 below), Associated Newspapers
    accepts no liability or responsibility of any nature for any action or event which prevents a person
    from entering into the Promotion, nor in relation to the taking of any prize or the consequences
    of doing so. Further, Associated Newspapers shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its
    obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such
    circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, digital connectivity, fire, flood, strike, industrial
    dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening
    legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
30. To the fullest extent permitted by law (and subject to clause 31 below), Associated Newspapers
    hereby excludes all warranties, representations, covenants and liabilities (whether express or
    implied) relating to this Promotion and/or the prize.
31. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude Associated Newspapers’ liability for: (i) death
    or personal injury as a result of its negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii)
    any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
32. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute shall be
    subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
