What is the German YMCA in London? Who can take part in our programmes?

deutschsprachigen “Struwwelpeter”, der Eltern-Kind-Gruppe im German YMCA.
Während die Kinder erste Kontakte zu Gleichaltrigen aufnehmen und ihr Umfeld erkunden,
haben die Eltern Gelegenheit, es sich bei einer Tasse Kaffee gemütlich zu machen und sich

Heute ist Advent vor allem Shopping. Aber wo kommt er her, was will er eigentlich und wie kann
man ihn feiern? Im Gespräch wollen wir dem Advent auf die Spur kommen und – vielleicht noch
viel wichtiger – ihn in einer Feier mit Kerzen, Musik und Texten erleben. Wer Zeit und Lust hat, ist
im Anschluss auch noch herzlich zu einer traditionellen Feuerzangenbowle im Wynfrid House
eingeladen.

If you missed it in the August edition…
In recent times more and more people leave booking for meals to the last minute. This makes
organising more complicated and sometimes the kitchen struggles to get enough ingredients at
short notice. Therefore, we have decided to give early bookings £1 off to encourage more people
to book by the specified date in the programme.
Voices in Harmony
The October Show Motown by Voices in Harmony was again a great success. We raised £350 for
The West London Mission. Many thanks to Jane, Frank, Terry, Wally and Ryan and the audience! The
Frikadellen before the show were special, too!
Bring & Buy
October’s market and food stalls raised
£670 for the Caritas Bakhita House, a safe
house for women. Many of the guests there
had been literally enslaved in this country
before they came to the safe house. Thanks
to all who contributed to the fundraising in
one way or another!
