And the angel said to them,
“Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all people;
for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior,
who is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:10-11
Our Sunday School has teachers present for Pre-K through 2nd grade and 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades
(also online). Our Junior High, 6th, 7th and 8th grades are online only on Sunday mornings.
If a student would like to sign up for the Zoom Class, please email me.
Safety guidelines are in effect with all children wearing masks and hand-sanitizing upon entering
classrooms.
I want to make sure that you feel comfortable having your children coming in to Sunday School.
The Church (Sunday) Nursery will not be open until further notice.
Our Confirmation Class of 2020 (5 students), was confirmed in a beautiful ceremony held on
November 1st, All Saints Day. They did a great job and wrote wonderful Credos. God’s Blessings to
them as they continue on their faith walk. Information on the Class of 2021 will be available at the
end of January.
Our Sunday School Advent Mission will be to collect monetary donations to buy gift cards for the
youth at Hudson River Housing’s River Haven Shelter for Youth. They offer safe housing,
guidance and counseling, a 24 hour crisis center and 12 bed shelter for youth ages 10-17. Checks
can be made out to NHRC, memo “Advent Mission”. We will be getting cards for Michaels, Target
and Five Below.
2021 Scripture Calendars are available for $6.00 in the Gathering Area.
There will be no Sunday School classes or Children’s Place held on December 27th.

Together” at their annual “Christmas Breakfast”, and is coordinating and running a craft activity
for the children.
These are the items needed:
Candy Canes, Holiday Stockings, Puffy paint, Glitter glue, Craft Pom poms, Foam letter stickers,
Tooth brushes/Tooth paste, Containers of dry oats, Hot Cocoa mix packets, Baking sprinkles,
Mini Ziploc bags.
A collection box is located in the Gathering Area.

May the Love and Peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you in this beautiful Season!
In His Service,
Kris Rice
Christian Education Director
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Our Ships Ahoy Pasta Collection was a great success!
We collected 100 pounds of pasta, 60 jars of sauce, 77 boxes of mac and cheese,
6 grated cheeses, and 30 Beefaroni type meals.
Liberty Station and the homeless shelter were thrilled to receive your donations.
There are a few days each month that the homeless shelter does not receive meals from the
community and rely on donations like our Pasta Collection so they can make a meal for the
residents on those evenings.
The veterans appreciate popping open a can and having a hearty meal, ready to eat.
Our next annual collection is the SOUPER BOWL,
which takes place Sunday, Jan 3rd - Sunday, Feb 7th.
You can drop off canned soup donations in the Liberty Station boxes outside/ inside the main
church doors near Keith office, or the box inside in the Gathering Area.
The boxes are checked daily, and any cans left in the outside box will be brought in.
Watch for the Can Can sales and coupons in January!
Who will come out on top this year? Campbells or Progresso? We'll keep a tally and let you know!
But the big winners will be Liberty Station and a local Food Pantry!

5PIGGY BANK BAZAAR
Greetings from Kermit!
I’m not my usual hoppy self. There won’t be a Piggy Bank Bazaar this year, because of the
ongoing pandemic. We want all humans to be safe and healthy!!
Limited Wednesday Morning Workshops were held in September, October and November,
and many gifts were completed. We also received significant donations of gifts, so Piggy’s
inventory for next year’s Bazaar is strong! Workshops are, as always, on vacation through
December and January, and hopefully will resume for February through June, as conditions
allow.
Mrs. Ray (my nice human friend who is disappointed, but looking forward to 2021) reminds
me that we always welcome donations of crafty items. Also, we are looking for all types of
Christmas wrappings, polyester stuffing, silk flowers, small vases, craft paints, mugs, small
stockings, pompoms, macramè cord, jingle bells, scrap book paper, stickers, ribbon, basket
grass, and sea shells. Contributions can be left in room 15. (Please call the church office at 462-
0810 to see if the building is open.)
It’s time for me to find a nice, quiet place at my pond to settle in for a couple months, as we
frogs like to do. I’ll be hopping back in February, though – talk with you then!!
Yours in love,
Kermit
10Campanola Ringers
We are looking for a few more Ringers!
Yes! We will be ringing for Christmas Sunday (December 20th) and Christmas Eve.
We will be able to rehearse and perform safely in the balcony, masked.
Since the Choir is not yet singing, we can take advantage of the extra space available,
however we cannot have more than can fit, considering the safe distancing we will adhere to.
Rehearsals will be Monday evenings.
In the past, 7:30-8:30pm however I'm changing this temporarily to 6:30-7:30pm.
Those considering joining us next year, let me know by December!
Please contact Pat McCullough directly #(845)240-6451 or pat.sightandsound@gmail.com

Liberty Station
The food donations have been coming in pretty regularly now, and we have been making full trunk and
back seats loads of food deliveries almost every 3 weeks.
The current needs at Liberty Station are:
Non-perishable food (list forwarded to congregation), sheets (twin), towels and washcloths, cleaning
products, toiletries (soap, shampoo, men’s deodorant etc), paper products and Gift Cards for Adams
Fairacre Farms and Stop & Shop.
Along with the Footlocker bin outside,
we put another bin inside across from Keith’s office for the outside overload.
It was recommended by John Licari because mice season is upon us
and he is concerned that they will open or run over the food inside.

Gift Card Program – organized by Sue Kimmerle.
Miss Sue started a collection of $5 Dunkin Donuts gift cards to hand out to all the homeless guests at the
shelter. Sue has since then been getting more cards mailed to her. Miss Sue is CLOSE to her collection
goal of 100 Dunkin cards to be delivered in December. She currently has 79 cards and needs 21 more $5
cards.
Miss Sue continues to collect gift cards for both Dunkin Donuts and local Food Markets. Please limit the
amounts to $5 (for Dunkin Donuts) or $10 (for local food markets). The food cards are collected to help
folks who live in housing provided by Hudson River Housing as well as Grace Smith House so they can
purchase their necessary food items.
Thank you to Miss Sue for her thinking outside the box to support the Mission Field. Cards can be mailed
directly to Miss Sue, address is in the directory, OR you can send a check to the church office and MEMO:
Gift Card Program
Baby Blankets and Hats is another program that Outreach is very proud of. Amy Burger continues
to crochet baby blankets and Liz Miedowski for the little Baby Hats that are donated to either Vassar
Brothers Medical PICU or Orange County Medical PICU. We are still waiting for these Hospitals to permit
us to deliver the gifts.
13Hope on a Mission is another program that we are interested in supporting. Anthony Foppiano has
been involved in this program for a year now and it’s a local mission. The organizers name is Cara Mia.
They are looking for the small hotel size of toiletries. They also are in need of GENTLY USED boots and
coats in the winter. If you would like to donate to this Mission, please bag up your donation(s) and
CLEARLY label it “Hope of a Mission” and put the bag in the footlocker outside Keith’s office. Outreach
will once again pick it up and delivery it to the appropriate location.
Clothing Donations: At this time, unfortunately we are unable to collect adult clothing because all of our
donation sights have no more room to store all the wonderful donations that many of you have given to.
The exception to the clothing is baby and children’s clothes. We WILL accept baby and children’s clothes
NEW or GENTLY USED. Please Note: limit the number of bags to only a couple. The families at Hudson
River Lodge are in need of clothing to the children.
The Dutchess County Interfaith Council will present its
45th annual Thanksgiving Service/Music Festival
"Still We Give Thanks!"
on Sunday, November 22nd at 2 pm.
Due to Covid-19 the program will be presented online,
but music, prayers and sacred readings will still be shared by members of our faith communities.
You are cordially invited to join in with this link: https:youtu.be/mT8kyVHcO9k
CROP Walk for Hunger Report:
Our congregation contributed $520. Thank you very much.
The present unofficial amount for all of Dutchess County is $48,823.36.
25% of that stays right here.
We give thanks for the generous response of our local communities.
From the staff and students of New Hackensack Nursery School~
THANK YOU to all of the volunteers and members of the Property Committee, led by John Licari,
for the hard work they put forth in order to clear our walkways and playground of leaves and limbs.
We are grateful for all that you do to keep our playground accessible to the children
and to maintain the grounds.
Deepest appreciation to the Property Committee – thank you for everything!
On behalf of New Hackensack Nursery School,
