TEAM DISCIPLINE
ALL members of the program will abide by a strict team discipline policy . Being a member of the program is a
gift. If members can’t treat the Team and School properly, that gift will be taken away .
 1. DO RIGHT – make the right decisions all the time – discipline will be fair and consistent
 2. RESPECT – Abide by the “Golden rule “. Address all adults “ yes sir “ or “yes mam “
 3. PROMPTNESS – Tardiness will not be tolerated , text or call before and not after the fact
  4. ABIDE BY SCHOOL POLICIES – You do not have special rights since you are a football player. If you are in
trouble in school or out of school, you’re in trouble with the football program.
 5. ALL SOCIAL MEDIA - monitor it all the times - understand the consequences . The world can see what you put
on Twitter/Instagram/Snapchat/Tic Toc . Be aware … people are taking pictures/videos of you all the time.
 6. APPEARANCE – Maintain our image –Clean , Confident, and Proud. First impressions are everything .
  7. UNITY COUNCIL – the purpose is to enhance communication between player , coaches , administrators and
support staff.
TEAM EXPECTATIONS
All TEAM MEMBERS MUST UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BE PART OF OUR PROGRAM MEETING
THESE EXPECTATION ARE NOT A PROBLEM. SELF DISCIPLINE IS THE FIRST CHARACTERISTIC OF LEADERSHIP.
 1. DO RIGHT – Think before you act 5 SECOND RULE. All actions have consequences .
 2. All actions that involve hazing , harassment, mistreatment or bullying of teammates are prohibited.
  3. All drug use or use of tobacco or alcohol are forbidden. Tocoi Creek has a Student Athlete Code of Conduct ,
that the football program will follow.
 4. Stealing or lying is grounds for immediate automatic suspension.
  5. Attendance at all practices , team meetings , strength and conditioning workouts and all team functions is
required. You need to let us know before hand to be excused. Unexcused misses will bring suspension from the
team.
 6. Unauthorized or unsolicited touching of any person , at any time , will NOT be Tolerated. Suspension will
occur..
 7. Respectful conduct to coaches , administrators , teachers and fellow students is expected all the time.
COACHES EXPECTATIONS
AS A COACHING STAFF IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US. WE ARE
THERE FOR YOU ANYTIME. ITS ABOUT BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR PLAYERS.

 1. To be organized in all meetings , practices ,and games.
 2. To coach you hard to be the best you can become.
 3. To discipline all players the same
 4. To teach you habits for football and life success .
 5. To be available when you need to talk about anything at any time
 6. To address you with respect and a championship attitude .
 7. To provide you with answers to your questions .
Player Development
Development of our student athlete’s is a four year process. These are examples of area’s that we will be
developing within our program .
    GOALSETTING
One of the most effective motivators for a player is ACHIEVINGGOALS
    -Must learn to set realistic goals and plan to achieve them
    -Mastering simple fundamentalsmakes the “ big stuff “ less intimidating

 This is a critical quality that All of our student athletes must learn to embrace. I feel it is imperative to help themrealize this.

   5TH QUARTER
The 5th Quarter is our plan todevelop the entire person.
    -Service in the Community
    -Youth Camp
    -Key Speakers [ business professionals, lawyers, lawenforcement, military leaders etc.
    -Mentoring Program
UNITY COUNCIL
The Unity Council’s purpose is to enhance communication between players , coaches , administrators ,
support staff . It will provide an opportunity for leadership both on and off the field . The council will be
proactive in facilitating the academic , social , and athletic success of each individual on the team and
ultimately the team itself.
This Council will be comprised of team members and the coaching staff . It will meet at consistently
scheduled meeting times throughout the year. These meetings will present an opportunity for
discussion of issues that effect the team and provide a method for ACCOUNTABILITY of team members
actions.
The characteristics of the people that are elected to the Unity Council are very important to the success
of the Council . 1- Someone who is and has been a good social representative of our team. .2- A team
player not an “I” guy – Responsible , trustworthy , dependable . 3-A high character person who will do
the right things when are not looking . 4- Someone who will speak up for the team and to the team
when necessary .
Player evaluation and who plays
We are CONSTANTLY EVALUATING all players through practice , walk throughs ,drills, workouts and off field conduct . Your job is to
shows us that you belong on the field to help us win We have set the following criteria on how we evaluate and who plays.
  1. ATTITUDE – Do you have the attitude of a champion and are you coachable? You must display ambition, good habits and
determination. Have a desire to be great.
 2. 100% EFFORT – Are you committed on and off the field to give your best effort all the time? We want great effort every play from
every player. Remember Effort is something that you control. Has nothing to do with your size ,weight and athletic ability . It’s how
you come to play every day – full go !!
 3. CONSISTENT PLAYS AND ASSIGNMENT KNOWLEDGE- We will want players who play consistent . Know their ASSIGNMENTS and
MAKE PLAYS . Mental mistakes and a lack of production are players that can’t help our team win. DO YOUR JOB !!
  4. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL TOUGHNESS – We are looking for players who never quit and rise-up to the challenge of adversity. That
are physical on the football field .
  5. TALENT ,ATHLETIC ABILITY – There a lot of ways to measure talent. We want our most talented players in the game . However ,
the most talented athlete is not always the best football player
  6. Practice is required for team membership. Schedules and practices times will be handed out in advance. All missed practices are
considered unacceptable and should be avoided. Missed practices during game week will result in not starting ,reduction of playing
time , or not dressing for the game. These actions will be determined by Coach K .

CLASS ATTENDANCE
CLASS ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. YOU ARE HERE TO EARN A DIPLOMA. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM.
FAILURE TO BE IN CLASS WHEN ASSIGNED WILL RESULT IN TEAM DISCIPLINE ACTION.
 1. Must attend all classes.
 2. Must attend all study hall, grade check and tutoring sessions .
 3. Must have an accumulative 2.00 GPA OR ABOVE To be eligible to play at Tocoi Creek H.S
 4. Obtain and complete all assignments and take exams on time
 5. Make up all work and inform all instructors of excused absences
 6. Conduct yourself appropriately in class as required by our Student Conduct code
  7. Be on time to class , sit in the front row , hats off and cell phones away. Total respect to
the teacher.
EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES
WE WILL PROVIDE YOU THE BEST EQUIPMENT POSSIBLE. YOU MUST SHARE IN THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR USE
AND MAINTAINANCE OF THAT EQUIPMENT. TAKE CARE OF LIKE ITS YOUR OWN.
  1. Wear only Tocoi Creek Football gear to practice and to the game. We will all dress the
same.
 2. You will be required to purchase certain gear from the Team Store. {girdles , White game
socks, and white Adidas game shoes.
 3. Do not cut , rip or alter any practice or game pants and jerseys.
 4. You must turn in gear all gear at the end of the season.
 5. Check all equipment daily and inform the equipment staff immediately for repairs
 6. You are responsible for all issued gear. If lost or stolen you will pay to replace it.
 7. Keep 2 pairs of shoes in locker, one set cleats and one set athletic shoes . Also , have a
pair of athletic shorts to practice in.
PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS
REMEMBER YOU PLAY LIKE YOU PRACTICE .ALWAYS BE MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY READY TO WORK AND
COMPETE. REMEMBER NOTHING STAYS THE SAME “ YOU ARE GETTING BETTER OR YOU ARE GETTING WORSE”.
 1. Get on the field on time and properly dressed
 2. When you hit the field , run to your area and between drills
 3. Be coachable , ask questions when you don’t understand.
 4. Give 100% effort, Learn how to strain and finish every rep
 5. Never Argue or talk back to a coach on the field. It’s a waste of time.
 6. Practice like you want to play on Friday.
 7. When asked to leave the field- do so “IMMEDIATELY “ return to the locker room and see
COACH K after practice.
locker room EXPECTATIONS
YOUR LOCKER ROOM IS A SECOND HOME TO ALL OF US. TREAT IT AS SUCH AND UNDERSTAND THAT WE MUST
POLICE IT EVERY DAY TO MAKE IT WORK. RESPECT EACH OTHER AND TRUST EACH OTHER’S SPACE.
 1. All trash thrown away [ example tape, papers etc. ]
 2. Place all of your equipment IN YOUR LOCKER AND IT IS LOCKED. Nothing on the floor.
 3. Tocoi Creek football personnel only in the locker room
 4. Food and drinks are prohibited.
 5. Takes cleats off when entering or leaving the locker room
 6. Turn off all showers.
 7. LOCK ALL YOUR VALUABLES IN YOUR LOCKER [ WALLET, CELL PHONE , COMPUTER ETC.]
WHEN YOU GO TO PRACTICE. Your are responsible for your personal belong safety.
  8. Check bulletin board every day for announcements.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING EXPECTATIONS
THE FOLLOWING GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS WILL ENABLE US TO WORK TOGETHER FOR YOUR SUCCESS ON TC
STRENGTH TRAINING AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM :
PURPOSE- to prevent injury and improve athletic performance .
ULTIMATE GOAL – to facilitate each student- athlete to reach their full peak in strength training and conditioning
while at Tocoi Creek High School.
LONG RANGE GOAL- to facilitate each student –athlete to improve their size , strength, power, flexibility,
endurance , speed and agility each year in the program .
 INTERMEDIATE GOAL – to facilitate each student-athlete to understand the successful principles and techniques
required for their individual strength training and conditioning program.
 IMMEDIATE GOAL – to facilitate each student-athlete’s evaluation of their current level of strength training and
conditioning and to begin to improve on that level .
NUTRITION/ SUPPLEMENTS – to EDUCATE and INFORM each student-athlete about the proper diet , post
work out recovery , supplements and healthy life style habits . 5th Quarter topics.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING TRAINING
THE FOLLOWING STRENGTH/ CONDITIONING TRAINING PRINCIPLES WILL ENABLE US TO WORK TOGETHER
FOR THE STUDENT ATHLETES SUCCESS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD :
 GROUND BASE EXERCISE- Ground based exercises are those performed with your feet on the ground . The
ground base exercises teach the athlete to involve their whole body in the exercise. Ground base exercise
teaches the athlete to use the whole body to create force .
FULL RANGE OF MOTION – This helps to provide complete development of the muscle at various joint angles
AN EXERCISE FOR EACH BODY PART- To make sure one achieves total muscle and body develop.
 FORM RUNNING/ SPEED DEVELOPMENT – This helps and trains the proper way to run and how to gain speed
through proper technique.
AGILITY AND CHANGE OF DIRECTION DRILLS – This helps and trains the athletes to move in short spaces with
explosion . Will be done in circuit training in short burst . It also will train discipline and paying attention to details
when your tired.
