CAPTURING MAGIC MOMENTS
MAKING KIDS HAPPY IN INVENTIVE WAYS
CMN Hospitals find many unique ways to
engage kids and take their minds off their
treatments for a time, using funds like those
supplied by DQ.
For instance, at Boston Children’s
Hospital, a lunch spot known as the Chef’s
Playground offers afternoon cooking
academies where patients and families can
take a break together to learn and practice
new food techniques and recipes.
And at Stollery Children’s Hospital in
Edmonton, Alberta, a special playroom
known as “The Beach” features relaxing
sun-and-sea imagery, toys and a real
sandbox to let kids “play outside,” even
when they’re hospitalized.
