For parents and carers raising children and young people
Early Parenting Programs
Many free programs are offered throughout the year by Maternal and Child Health. They are facilitated by health
professionals and are offered to further support families in their parenting roles. Some of the programs are outlined below.

First Time Parent Group The First Time Parent Group is a seven week program which aims
for children 6 weeks - 12 weeks to support first time parents in their new role. Adapted to suit the
needs of families, discussion may include transition to parenthood,
