Vacation Care Program
DECEMBER 2020 - JANUARY 2021
Program Times
Service times will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The program officially starts at 9:00 am and finishes at 3:00 pm,
Our program will feature a range of activities as well as the daily
inclusion of arts and craft activities, scientific experiments and sports.
Risk assessments are available to view within the Centre or available upon request via email.
Excursion Drop-off & pick-up times
On excursion days, children must arrive at BHOOSH no later than 8.30 am and will be available for
pick up from 3:00pm onwards.
What to Wear and Bring
BREAKFAST AND AFTERNOON TEA WILL BE PROVIDED FROM BHOOSH.
WHAT TO PACK:
• Sun Smart Hat
• Sunscreen
• Refillable Drink Bottle
• Morning Tea and Lunch
• Closed-in shoes NO THONGS
• Swimmers and towels on Water days
• Rain clothes on raining days
FAMILIES TO PLEASE REMEMBER:
• Make sure there are no nuts or nut products in your child’s lunch box.
• Apply Sunscreen to your child before arriving at the centre.
• Make sure children are wearing SunSmart cloths i.e. T shirt with shoulders covered.
• Make sure your children have enclosed rubber-soled shoes, otherwise they may not be able
to participate in the activities offered throughout the program.

Terms and Conditions
There are no cancellations, refunds, credits, or transfers for vacation care bookings.
Where applicable, parents must give consent for their children to participate in selected activities by
completing the relevant Authorisation Form online.
All other BHOOSH terms and conditions apply.
How to Book
• Login into your KIDSXAP account either through the app or website.
(If you do not know your login, please email info@bhoosh.com.au.)
• Select Attendance/Bookings, click the large + in the bottom right corner.
• Select ‘Vacation Care’, enter your child’s year at school and confirm the booking.
(NOTE All families ‘arrangement’ type’ will be CWA unless other specified by BHOOSH.)

*Child Care Subsidy is payable on vacation care fees for eligible families

MONDAY 21ST
Program starts at 10 am – 12 pm
Join us for a fun-filled day of science experiments!
Create your very own slime and so much more! Our BHOOSH
students are very interested in science and experiments, so we
have dedicated a whole day to it! Today we are all scientists!
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP - GIANT GAMES FUN
TUESDAY 22ND
Program starts at 9 am – 3 pm
Get ready for a fun-filled day of giant games!
Come and join us to build our very own giant games to be added
to our selection of outdoor Giant games. You don’t want to miss
the Giant Chess competition; it is going to be a great day!

January 2021 – WEEK 1 – BHOOSH MURAL PROJECT
WHAT IS OUR MURAL PROJECT?
In collaboration with Miguel Gonzalez and Beacon Hill Primary School, the children of BHOOSH will be
contributing to the design and realisation of our School Mural Project throughout the January Vacation Care
between Monday 4th and Friday 8th January. This process of engaging in the beginning stages of designing
and creating a mural will be paralleled alongside our other various Vacation Care activities. The realisation of
our mural will convey a strong message about the importance of students living in harmony with each other
and their environment in order to develop their sense of belonging within the community.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS WITH MURALS IN SCHOOLS?
By designing and engaging in the creation of a school mural, children will achieve results such as:
• Better engagement with the environment
• Creating a sense of belonging and ownership with their school
• Opportunities for them to think and reflect
• Inspiration to be creative
• Motivation to be involved
• Inclusivity
• Increased send of physical direction within their school space
ABOUT THE ARTIST AND HIS WORK
Miguel Gonzalez [AKA: M-Lon] Australian born in Venezuela, currently based in
Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
His background in architecture and more than 10 years practice with his own
studio has allowed him to be part of national and international collective and
solo exhibitions.

IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP – MURAL CREATION
Program starts at 10 am – 12 pm
MONDAY 4TH
We are finally ready to Kick start the new year with this awesome
collaboration with the school. Our BHOOSH Mural Project will
allow children’s creativity to flourish as we work alongside Miguel
Gonzalez, Founder of Kayapa Creative Studio, to design and
create our school mural.
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP – ART, SCIENCE AND SPORTS
Program starts at 9 am – 3 pm
TUESDAY 5TH
Join us for a very creative day full of Fun.
The children will be engaged in the development of the mural
project along with sport, science and Art and Crafts activities.
We will be using the Oval to practice our running and motor skills.
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP – WATER OLYMPICS GAMES
WEDNESDAY 6TH
Program starts at 9 am – 3 pm
We love summer and we love fun.
SUMMER + FUN = WATER GAMES!
Come and play with us with our very special water games in the
Oval, who is it going to win the gold medal???
You may be the one!
EXCURSION – GOVERNOR PHILLIP LOOKOUT
Program starts at 9 am – 3 pm
THURSDAY 7TH
Join us for a day out!
We will be exploring our surroundings and will walk up to the
Governor Phillip Look out to see our majestic view of the Ocean.
We will stop at Beacon Hill Oval for a picnic and to play cricket
and Soccer all together.
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP – RAPTOR REPTILES
Program starts at 10 am – 11:30am
FRIDAY 8TH
Raptor Reptiles love all things scaly and creepy, and with over 50
animals they have more than you can poke an Elephant trunk at!
During this amazing workshop children will have the opportunity
to touch the animals and learn about animal’s history and unique
traits!

IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP
SPACE EXPLORERS
MONDAY 11th
Program starts at 10 am – 12 pm
Have fun with friends creating cool BRICKS4KIDZ models with
LEGO. We will build a centrifuge, create space themed
colourful models and then build our own creative space station.
Throughout the day as we build our models, we will learn about
astronaut training!
EXCURSION – MANLY SURF N’ SLIDE
Program starts at 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
TUESDAY 12TH
Hope you’ve got your swimmers ready because we’re off on a
fun-filled day at Manly Surf and Slide. Ride the twisted cobra,
dare the slippery python or slither in the earthworm.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: MUST BE at LEAST 1m Tall to
complete this activity.
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP – DRAGON TAO KUNG FU
WEDNESDAY 13TH
Program starts at 10 am – 11:30 am
Go Beyond just self-defense!
Dragon Tao Kung Fu teaches kids the skills of discipline,
mindfulness and self-defense.
You don’t want to miss this active day of learning, games,
friends, safety and of course fun!
EXCURSION – SURF LIFE SAVING – NEWPORT BEACH
THURSDAY 14TH
Program starts at 9 am – 1:30 pm
Get your swimmers ready as today we are going to the beach! As
Summer hits it is important that all children at BHOOSH are Surf
Safe. We will be heading to Newport Beach while the children will
participate in activities such as Board Paddling, Volleyball, Tube
rescues, Beach flags and sprints, body boarding and Bucket
races. This is going to be a vacation care favorite!
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP – RFS VISIT
Program starts at 10 am – 12pm
FRIDAY 15TH
An educational day full of fun activities that teach children about
fire and bush fire safety.
The volunteer of RFS will come to BHOOSH with a real fire truck
and the children will be able to hop inside and have a look at the
truck and all equipment used during emergency with fire.

Excursion: Thursday– ORIGAMI WITH MIDORI FURZE
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP
Program starts at 10 am – 12 pm
MONDAY 18th
Join us for a day exploring the art of Origami and Japanese
culture with Midori. This program will see the children making
origami birds and paper sculptures using recycled paper.
We are combining art design with sustainable practices to
encourage critical thinking.
EXCURSION – HOYTS CINEMA
Program starts at 9 am – 3 pm
TUESDAY 19th
We will be visiting Hoyts at the Mandarin centre in Chatswood to
view the movie – DREAMBUILDERS. It’s time to sit back and eat
some popcorn in front of the big screen! Enjoy the movie!
Popcorn is included in this activity. Hooray!

WEDNESDAY 20TH
AMUSEMENT PARK
Program starts at 10 am – 12 pm
Another awesome program from BRICKS4KIDZ. is back at
BHOOSH. Join us for a day of fun with your friends. We will
build a fun motorised amusement park ride, colourful yummy
treats, and creative theme park.
EXCURSION – MANLY SURF N’ SLIDE
THURSDAY 21st
Program starts at 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Hope you’ve got your swimmers ready because we’re going for
the second time in the holidays to our favourite water park at
Manly Surf and Slide.

IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP – SCOOTER DAY
Program starts at 9 am – 3pm
FRIDAY 22nd
Ready, steady GO…It’s time to race!
Make sure you will bring your scooter and helmet because we will
be racing outside, testing your speed and abilities while having
fun with a special BHOOSH racing circuit.

We will be visiting Hoyts at the Mandarin Centre to view the

It’s time again to sit with your friends and eat some popcorn while
enjoying the movie! Popcorn is included in this activity. Hooray!

COVID-19 Safety Plan
To all BHOOSH Parents,
The most important priority at BHOOSH is everyone’s safety. Our Centre has taken into consideration
all necessary precautions to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
All our selected activities and providers engaged have a covid safe plan and procedure in place to
reduce risk and stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
All our Excursions will be in an open space and social distancing will be practiced at all the times and,
the number of students on each group will be kept according with the current NSW Government
guidelines for gathering in open spaces.
We are asking all BHOOSH families to ensure they remain aware of the COVID-19 guidelines and
are practicing the following:
1. Stay home if you are sick
If your child is unwell, they should remain at home until symptoms clear up. Our Centre has the right
to send any child home who appears as unwell to ensure the safety of those around them.
2. Get tested if you are showing symptoms
If your child or anyone in your family has been tested for COVID-19, we ask that you please advise
the Centre and keep your children at home until a negative result is returned.
3. Keep practicing social distancing
Parents are only allowed to enter the Centre to complete sign-in/out processes

processes in the office upon arrival and at pick up time, we encourage everyone to keep practicing
social distancing while in the qui
If you have travelled to or suspect that you may have engaged with anyone from a COVID-19
hotspot, we ask that you declare this and self-isolate yourself and any other family members exposed
to you to ensure you don’t affect the other children, parents and staff at BHOOSH.
The parents of BHOOSH rely on our service and it is important that we share the sense of
responsibility to protect our service from needing to be closed due to an infection.
