WPNEC Safety Conditions of Hire is all riders must wear an approved safety helmet when riding on the
grounds. VRHA are privileged to be only permitted to wear Western Hats when competing
The only area your horse may be ridden with a Western Hat outside of the indoor Arena’s is between
the two indoor arena’s in preparation for your run
An Approved horse riding helmet must be worn if you ride on the WPNEC grounds. This will be an
enforceable rule by WPNEC and VRHA Show Management
LUNGEING YOUR HORSE IN THE INDOOR ARENAS IS NOT PERMITTED– ROUND YARD IS AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS FOR LUNGEING
COVID SAFE SHOW PRACTISES ARE IN PLACE – WEAR A MASK IF YOU CAN’T SOCIAL DISTANCE
KEEP MOVING ON ONCE YOUR RUN IS OVER - ONE SUPPORT PERSON PER RIDER IN MARSHALLING AREAS & BETWEEN INDOOR ARENA’S
NRHA Sanctioned Jackpot Classes (SANCTIONED) = CLASSES 3,4,5,9,10,11,13 Entry into these classes require the following
• NRHA Rider/Owner/NRHA Horse Competition License for ownership – Supply correct cards to Show Secretary
• NRHA Non Pro classes require an NRHA Non Pro declaration on file with the NRHA. Check your NRHA
Membership Card states Non Pro Status NRHA Oceania Eligibility applies / earnings from these classes will be
recorded with the NRHA
• NRHA PROFESSIONALS ensure you have completed the Professional declaration and is on file with the NRHA
• VRHA Full Membership or VRHA Event Fee (NRHA members are not required to be full members of an affiliate to
compete in NRHA classes, VRHA request an event fee per show of $15 to cover Insurance (not eligible for Hi Points)
• VRHA Non Sanctioned Classes (NON SANCTIONED) = 1,2,6,7,12,14, To show in these classes the entry requirements are full Adult

By entering the event, participants agree to be bound by these General Terms and Conditions and any Special Terms and Conditions appearing below.
• NRHA 2021 Handbook & guidelines apply to sanctioned classes
• NRHA OCEANIA ELIGILBITY APPLIES TO NRHA SANCTIONED CLASSES. RIDERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ELIGIBLITY STATUS
• Riders can check their eligibility through the Member Portal of the NRHA Reiner Suite, please contact the Show Secretary if you are unsure or are having difficulty on how to access.
• Entries will only be accepted with full payment. Entries that do not accompany a payment will not go into the draw.
• Late entries NOT ENTERED IN THE SHOW PRIOR after class draws are posted will incur a $25 late fee.
• Incorrect or incomplete entries will be returned unprocessed until all relevant documentation has been forwarded to Show Secretary.
• All competitors entering must be current financial members of VRHA either full or event membership. Event Membership does not entitle rider to VRHA initiatives or Hi Points
• One Entry per horse: Entries will be invoiced according to nominations and facility fees will be charged according to number of days the horse will be shown, this will determine the
number of days the horse will be on the grounds.
Horses that are entered in more than one class in concurrent run classes will only have one run and the score will count for all classes entered.
ONE (1) judge fee applies when entering concurrent classes.

• VRHA Para Reining Grades: VRHA Non Sanctioned Para Reining class offers 4 Grades for showing, being. Grade 1,2,3,4, The competition within each grade will be judged on the skill of the
individual competitor on their horse. Judge will be advised on score sheet the Grade level ridden. Grade is to be advised to Show Secretary prior the event
Only One Grade to be selected. NRHA 2021 handbook & Guidelines apply.
Grade I: Walk only / Grade II: Walk & Trot / Grade III: Walk & Trot & show Lope / Grade IV: Lope only
• All competitors must be ready at the marshalling area and present to the gate marshall for their relevant class /draw order. Failure to be at gate ready for run may incur a disqualification
from the class.
• VRHA Hi Points; To be eligible for VRHA Hi Points rider & owner/s must be 2021 VRHA full Adult or Youth member at the time of showing.
• All Youth 13 years & under must wear approved fastened Safety Helmets while competing and on the event grounds
• VRHA Unrestricted 2 handed Beginner Youth 18 & under class. This class is non sanctioned and is for entry level Youth starting out in reining, must ride two handed and not subject to
horse licencing.
• VRHA recommends the wearing of an approved Australian Standard horse riding helmet to be worn at all times when mounted
• Horses must be walked and led outside of the boundaries of the show and warm up arena’s on the WPNEC grounds, if a rider chooses to be mounted outside these areas a helmet must
be worn.

▪ SCRATCHINGS & REFUNDS FOR SCRATCHING: HORSE or RIDER (Show secretary must be notified of a scratching email vrhashowentry@outlook.com)
a) SCRATCH PRIOR SHOW &PRIOR TO CLASS DRAWS POSTED ON VRHA WEBSITE: Where entry is in process by show office and prior the class draw being posted on website: Draws
are posted 24 hours prior the commencement of the show. Vet or Doctor certificate is not required,
show office fee & judges fee will be retained. Entry & Facility Fee refunded.
b) SCRATCH PRIOR SHOW AFTER DRAWS HAVE BEEN POSTED ON VRHA WEBSITE: Where entry is in process by show office and the class draw has been posted on website: Must
provide Vet or Doctor certificate within 24 hours of completion of the show; office, entry & judges fee retained. Facility Fee refunded.
c) SCRATCH AT SHOW: No refund granted. Exhibitors that scratch a class for any reason after the draw has been posted will be liable for any and
all fees incurred in connection to entering that class. NRHA 2017 Handbook P 40 (6)

▪ The Committee of the Victorian Reining Horse Association Inc. and Management of Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre
will not be held responsible for any accident, sickness to any horse, owner, rider, handler or competitor, spectator or propertyWERRIBEE PARK RISK MANAGEMENT
Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre Committee of Management considers it a privilege that you are allowed to bring
your dog to this venue. Dog’s must be on a leash and kept under effective control at all times.
• Approved Safety Helmets must be worn at all times when riding on the grounds of the venue.
• Cross Country obstacles must not be jumped/used unless a non-riding level one coach is present.
• Riding of horses bareback is prohibited. Riding of rugged and/or unbridled horses is prohibited.
• Any person may lead a maximum of two horses while mounted.
• Stallions must at all times be in the control of a person aged seventeen years or more, when led or ridden.
• Horses are not permitted within/upon the quadrangle (between the barn & Indoor 1).
• Horses are not permitted near pedestrian doorways.
• Bicycles not permitted in Indoor Arenas or any stable block & are not permitted near doors designated as public entrances or exits.
• Speed limits must be adhered to at all times; the speed limit at WPNEC is 10km p/h.
• Power leads must not be on the ground or over roadways.
• Construction of portable/tape yards is prohibited.
• Alcohol must not be consumed in the Indoor Arenas, unless purchased from the licenced bar located in Indoor Arena No 1.
• Please observe all signs at the venue.
• Horses must be tied in a safe manner. Horses must not be tied to unattached floats, wheelie bins etc.
• No infrastructure to be erected on WPNEC Grounds without written approval by management prior to event.
• Entry and Exit doors to Indoor Arenas are not to be obstructed at any timeYou can also read
