                       BC Lions Gameday Information Guide
                            2018 CFL Regular Season

Welcome to BC Place Stadium, home of the BC Lions Football Club of the CFL. This Gameday
Information Guide provides important information to make your visit to BC Place enjoyable from start
to finish!

ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCES AND FACILITIES
 Gates A, B, C, D, E and H are fully accessible for all guests. Gates F & G are not recommended
  for guests with mobility challenges.
 All concessions and washrooms are accessible. In addition, Family and Universal washrooms are
  located on each concourse.
 Wheelchairs may be stored at the Stroller Parking located at Section 225.

ACCESSIBLE DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
 The Accessible Drop-off/Pick-up is located on Pacific Boulevard (section 147 from within the
  stadium), and is open one hour (1hr) prior to kickoff.
 Vehicles can access the Drop-off/Pick-up facility from street level on Pacific Boulevard. There is
  no parking at the drop-off/pick-up facility.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING
 Accessible seating platforms are integrated throughout the entire spectator bowl.
 One attendant ticket may be purchased with each wheelchair ticket purchased for the accessible
  platforms. For groups greater than two, please speak with your Ticketmaster service
  representative when purchasing your tickets, and the representative will work with you to seat
  your party as close as possible.

WHEELCHAIR ASSISTANCE
 BC Place provides a limited number of wheelchairs for guest use. Please contact our on-site
  Hosting staff for assistance, if required.
 Wheelchair storage is available inside BC Place - please contact our Hosting staff for assistance.
 Should you require assistance in getting to your seating area, please inform a member of the
  BC Place Hosting team who will be happy to help!
 Private Suites are accessible and have removable seats to allow for wheelchair seating. Please
  contact BC Place prior to your event at 604-661-3401 or stadium@bcpavco.com and our staff will
  prepare your suite for you.

ALCOHOL POLICY
 BC Place and Centerplate staff work hard to promote safe and responsible consumption of
  alcoholic beverages. The venue reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any guest.
 All guests who appear under the age of 30 are required to show valid ID. Guests providing alcohol
  to minors is prohibited.
 Beer may be served to a maximum of 24oz. per person, per transaction.
   Any guest who conceals alcohol on entry, prior to being searched by BC Place Security, will be
    denied entry. Guests who surrender alcohol to BC Place Security before being searched are
    permitted to enter.
    Any guest deemed to be impaired by alcohol or drugs is subject to denied entry or eviction, and
    may be referred to the relevant authorities.

ANIMALS
 Only certified guide and service dogs, or guide and service dogs in training, are allowed into the
  stadium.

BABY-CHANGING AREAS
 Changing stations are located in washrooms throughout the stadium.
 Parent and gender neutral rooms are also available throughout the stadium – please ask our staff
  for directions to the nearest location.

BAG SIZES & BAG SEARCH
 For ease of access, guests are encouraged not to bring bags to the stadium.
 Bags, containers or coolers larger than 14’’x14’’x6’’ are not permitted into BC Place. Special
  considerations will be made for guests with special medical needs and parents caring for infants.
 All spectators are subject to a patdown upon entry into BC Place, and all bags smaller than
  14’’x14’’x6’’ will be inspected prior to entry.
     **Due to these safety and security procedures, we strongly recommend early arrival
                                      to all events at BC Place.**

ELECTRONIC DEVICES (LAPTOPS, TABLETS, ETC.)
 Electronic devices (laptops, battery packs, tablets, tablet cases, etc.) are permitted subject to
  inspection prior to entry and at the discretion of BC Place and/or local and national security
  agencies. Mobile phones are generally not subject to inspection.
 Electronic devices are subject to demonstration that they are operational. Laptops, Laptop Bags,
  Tablets, Briefcases, or Messenger Bags measuring larger than 14’’x14’’x6’’ are not permitted. See
  Bag Sizes and Bag Search Policy above for additional information.

BAG STORAGE
 Guests are encouraged to leave large bags at home, or in a safe place before traveling to the
  game.
 For temporary storage of oversized bags (larger than 14” x 14” x 6”), The Bicycle Valet located
  outside BC Place, down the stairs from Gate C towards Rogers Arena provides limited bag
  storage - available on a first come, first serve basis. BC Lions and BC Place accept no
  responsibility for missing or damaged bags.

BICYCLE VALET
 Safe and secure bicycle parking is provided by The Bicycle Valet (thebicyclevalet.ca), located
   outside BC Place, down the stairs from Gate C towards Rogers Arena.
 Donations are welcome (but not required) and are provided to the local food bank as part of the
   Purolator Tackle Hunger program.
 Bike valet service is available from gate opening time to a half hour after the final whistle.

WATER BOTTLES AND CONTAINERS
 Empty, refillable soft-walled plastic water bottles (with or without lids) are permitted into BC Place
  and are subject to inspection at the gate.

   Permitted bottles may be filled with water at drinking fountains located on the main concourse.
    Bottled water is available for purchase from concessions.
   Hard-sided bottles, cans, cups or containers (including glass, metal, hard plastic, ceramic and
    other materials) are NOT permitted.

CAMERA AND VIDEO EQUIPMENT
 Personal photography is permitted in the stadium, provided the images are for personal use only.
 Photographic support tools (tripods, professional lenses larger than 200 mm, etc.) that may
  interfere with others' enjoyment of the match are NOT permitted in the stadium.
 Selfie sticks are NOT permitted.

CHILDREN
 Children age two and under are admitted free if the child is sitting on an adult's lap.
 If a parent requests a physical seat for the child, he/she must purchase a ticket.
 Children attending with a BC Lions Kids Ticket must be 12 years or under, and accompanied by

CODE OF CONDUCT
 BC Place is committed to providing a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for its guests.
 Guest conduct must be legally appropriate, respectful and not be offensive/abusive to other
  guests and those working at the event.
 Any guest not respecting the Code of Conduct may be removed from the venue.
 Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to:
                    x Foul/abusive language or obscene gestures
                    x Impairment related to alcohol or drug consumption
                    x Providing alcohol to a minor or being a minor in possession of alcohol
                    x Smoking of any substance (including e-cigarettes)
                    x Sitting in locations other than your ticketed seat
                    x Use of compressed gas air horns
                    x Disruption of the game, including throwing objects, or trespassing on the field
                        and/or restricted areas
                    x Fighting or making threatening remarks or gestures

FOOD AND BEVERAGE CONCESSIONS
 Centerplate, the food service provider at BC Place Stadium, offers a wide variety of meal choices
  in the concession stands.
 From the classic all-beef hotdog and burger with fries, to Vij’s curries, short-rib poutine, house-
  smoked meat sandwiches, bacon wrapped hot dogs, sushi, as well as gluten-friendly and vegan
  options… there’s something for everyone at BC Place.

FIRST AID
 First Aid Stations and rovers are located throughout the concourse on level 2. If you require
   assistance for any reason, including First Aid, please speak with the BC Place staff member
   nearest your location.

LOST AND FOUND
 If you lose (or find) an item during the game, please report the loss (or bring the found item) to
  Guest Services at Section 234 on level 2.
 For lost & found inquiries after the game, please call BC Place at 604-661-7303.

LOST CHILDREN
 Parents looking for a lost child should report to the Guest Services booth located at Section 234
  on level 2 as soon as possible.

MERCHANDISE
 Official BC Lions merchandise is available during regular season games on the concourse inside
  BC Place at sections 205, 212, 222, 233, 249, and at the Southwest Club Lounge on level 3.
 Locations are subject to change – please ask our Hosting staff for directions if required.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
 BC Place accepts Cash and Credit Cards at most locations. Some locations such as portable
  concessions accept Cash Only. Debit Cards are not accepted at concessions.
 For guests who require debit as a payment method, ATM machines are located on the main
  concourse at sections 212, 216, 225, 236, 246 and 250, and on level 3 at section 343.
 All ticketing and merchandise locations throughout the stadium accept debit, credit card and cash.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE
 Outside food or drinks are not permitted into the stadium. Any outside food or beverage must be
  consumed or disposed of before entering the venue.
 Special considerations will be made for infants (i.e. bottles and unopened baby food), and for
  medical reasons. To request an exemption for medical reasons, please contact BC Place at:
  guestservices@bcplace.com prior to gameday.

PARKING
 Pay parking is available in multiple lots close to the stadium. For information visit:

PROHIBITED AND ILLEGAL ITEMS
 The safety and security of everyone at BC Place Stadium is our top priority. BC Place works with
  its clients, as well as local and national security agencies, to develop best-practice security
  policies and procedures at all events in the stadium. We appreciate your support for our ongoing
  efforts to provide a safe and entertaining environment for every one of our guests.
 Guests in possession of any illegal items will be refused entry and/or removed from the venue.
  The guest will be required to surrender the item to BC Place Security and/or relevant authorities,
  and may be subject to arrest by law enforcement.
 Prohibited Items include any items, either legal or illegal in nature, where possession is restricted
  from entry into BC Place by Federal, Provincial, or Municipal law, regulation, or BC Place Policy.
 Prohibited Items are subject to change, and security measures may be increased for certain
  events. These measures include, but are not limited to a more thorough search of persons and
  property.
 Guests entering the venue will either be required to surrender the Prohibited Item to BC Place for
  disposal, check the item at the bag check (subject to availability), or store the item off the property.

    x   Bags, Luggage, Containers or Coolers larger than 14’’x14’’x6’’. See Bag Sizes and Bag
        Search Policy for additional information.
    x   Poles and Selfie Sticks
    x   Aerosol cans, Paints or Flammable Liquids
    x   Skateboards, Rollerblades or Bicycles
    x   Alcohol. See Alcohol Policy below for additional information.
    x   Outside food or beverage (exceptions may be made for medical reasons)
    x   Cameras larger than 6 inches (150mm) in length with lens attached (Note: camera policy may
        vary for specific events - consult the Guest FAQ information for your event)
    x   Helium balloons
    x   Horns, Noisemakers, Foghorns or Large Cowbells
    x   Masks (permitted only to be worn while in your assigned seat)
    x   Signs, Flags or Displays that in the reasonable opinion of BC Place are considered offensive,
        racist, discriminatory, contain inappropriate language, or are religious, political or commercial
        in nature.
    x   Items deemed prohibited based on event policies.

MEDICAL EXCEPTIONS & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
 Exceptions to Prohibited Items may be made for those with medical requirements and/or special
  requirements. Advanced authorization by BC Place is strongly recommended. Please contact

SMOKING AND DRUG POLICY
 BC Place Stadium is a non-smoking facility and there are no designated smoking areas at BC
  Place. There are no in and out privileges once inside BC Place except for emergency purposes.
 Smoking of any kind, and the use of alternative smoking devices (electronic or vapor), is not
  permitted on BC Place property, including the exterior concourses and plazas. Smoking, or the
  use of alternative smoking devices, on BC Place property will result in eviction from BC Place
  without refund.
 Consumption or possession of illegal drugs is prohibited on BC Place property. Consumption of
  smokeless marijuana is prohibited on BC Place property, except for individuals who are medically
  licensed by Health Canada.

ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES AND VAPORIZERS
 As per the Smoking and Drug Policy above, BC Place is a non-smoking facility.
 The use of E-Cigarettes and Vaporizers is not permitted while inside the Stadium.

PROJECTILES
 Any individual who throws, tosses, or otherwise projects any object in the stands, onto the pitch,
  or in the direction of another spectator, will be immediately removed from the stadium. Thrown
  objects will become the property of the BC Lions and will be returned to their owner only at the
  sole discretion of the Club and BC Place.

RE-ENTRY
 There are no in/out privileges. Exit and re-entry is not permitted.

STADIUM ROOF
 The position of the retractable roof – either “open” or “closed” - for the game will generally be
  determined on gameday. Check for updates via the club’s Facebook and/or Twitter page.
 BC Place is considered an “open-air” venue, even with the roof closed. Therefore, it’s always best
  to prepare for an outdoor experience when attending BC Lions games at BC Place.
 Guests are encouraged to bring a jacket or sweater on cooler days, and have sunscreen, a hat,
  and sunglasses with you during the hot summer months!
 Sunscreen is available for purchase from various concessions. Please ask our friendly stadium
  staff for locations that offer sunscreen.

STROLLER PARKING
 Stroller parking is available at section 225.
 BC Lions and BC Place Stadium are not responsible for any lost or damaged items. If a stroller
  parking ticket is lost, proof of identification must be provided in order to claim the stroller.
 Stroller parking is available from gate opening time to a half hour after the final whistle. If no
  strollers are dropped off, stroller parking will close at halftime.

UNUSED TICKETS
 If you are not able to attend a game, and would like to see your ticket help make a positive impact
  in your community, tickets can be donated to the Kids Up Front Foundation on your behalf so that
  no seats are left empty.
 Fans are encouraged to contact the BC Lions Football Club prior to any game to discuss ways
  your tickets can provide uplifting experiences to children-in-need!
