*Hymn # 2 "Holy, Holy, Holy”, vss. 1,2,3
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Who wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy; merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
*Hymn # 202 “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name”, vss. 1,3
All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all;
Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all.

Let ev’ry kindred, ev’ry tribe, On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all;
To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all.

*Hymn # 7 “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee”, vss. 1,3
Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flow’rs before Thee, Op’ning to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, Drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness, Fill us with the light of day!

Thou art giving and forgiving, Ever blessing, ever blest;
Wellspring of the joy of living, Ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our Brother – All who live in love are Thine;
Teach us how to love each other, Lift us to the joy divine.

Scripture Deuteronomy 10:12-13, 17-21 Rev. Emily Collins
12“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD
your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. 13
And you must always obey the LORD’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own
good.”

17“For the LORD your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and
awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. 18 He ensures that orphans and widows
receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing. 19 So
you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt. 20
You must fear the LORD your God and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in his name
alone. 21 He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these
mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes. 22 When your ancestors went down into Egypt,
there were only seventy of them. But now the LORD your God has made you as numerous as the stars in
the sky!
Hymn # 141 “The Old Rugged Cross”, vss. 1,2
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suff’ring and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.
CHORUS:
       So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
       Till my trophies at last I lay down;
       I will cling to the old rugged cross,
       And exchange it some day for a crown.

Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,
To bear it to dark Calvary.
CHORUS

Hymn # 10 “How Great Thou Art”, vss. 1,4
O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy pow’r tho’out the universe displayed,
CHORUS:
        Then sings my soul, my savior God, to Thee;
        How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
        Then sings my soul, my savior God, to Thee;
        How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When thro’ the woods and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:
CHORUS
Scripture Psalm 72:1-5; 18-19 Rev. Stephen Gray
Give your love of justice to the king, O God,
   and righteousness to the king’s son.
2 Help him judge your people in the right way;

   let the poor always be treated fairly.
3 May the mountains yield prosperity for all,

   and may the hills be fruitful.
4 Help him to defend the poor,

   to rescue the children of the needy,
   and to crush their oppressors.
5 May they fear you as long as the sun shines,

   as long as the moon remains in the sky.
   Yes, forever!

18 Praise the LORD God, the God of Israel,
    who alone does such wonderful things.
19 Praise his glorious name forever!

    Let the whole earth be filled with his glory.
Amen and amen!

Hymn # 15 “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing”, vss. 1,3
Come, Thou Fount of ev’ry blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise:
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above;
Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let Thy grace, Lord, like a fetter,
Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee:
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, Lord, take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

Hymn # 60 “Be Thou My Vision”, vss. 1,4
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art:
Thou my best thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

High King of heaven, my victory won,
May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heav’n’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

Hymn # 54 “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, vs. 1
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God, my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.
CHORUS:
     Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
     Morning by morning new mercies I see;
     All I have needed, Thy hand hath provided;
     Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.

Pastoral Prayer                                                                Rev. Stephen Gray

*Hymn # 630 “America The Beautiful”, vss. 1,2
O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood, From sea to shining sea.
O beautiful for pilgrim feet, Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine ev’ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law.

*Hymn # 634 “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee”, vss. 1,4
My country, ‘tis of thee, Sweet land of liberty, Of thee I sing:
Land where my fathers died, Land of the pilgrims’ pride,
From ev’ry mountainside Let freedom ring!

Our fathers’ God, to Thee, Author of liberty, To Thee we sing.
Long may our land be bright With freedom’s holy light;
Protect us by Thy might, Great God, our King!

Scripture Reading Galatians 5:13-17; 22-23 Rev. Emily Collins
13For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to
satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. 14 For the whole law can
be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you are always biting and
devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.

16So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17
The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives
us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting
each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

22But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Hymn # 334 “Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine”, vss. 1,3
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
CHORUS:
      This is my story, this is my song,
      Praising my Savior all the day long;
      This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;

Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest:
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
CHORUS

Scripture John 8:31-36 Rev. Bryan Brock
31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my

teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
33 “But we are descendants of Abraham,” they said. “We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you

mean, ‘You will be set free’?”

34Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. 35 A slave is not a permanent
member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly
free.

The Lord’s Prayer
      Our father, who art in heaven,
      Hallowed be thy name.
      Thy Kingdom come,
      Thy will be done on earth,
      As it is in heaven.
      Give us this day our daily bread
      And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
      And lead us not into temptation,
      But deliver us from evil.
      For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise, Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord.”
CHORUS:
   Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
   How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er!
   Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more!

Just from Jesus simply taking Life and rest, and joy and peace.

I’m so glad I learned to trust Him, Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that He is with me, Will be with me to the end.
