“Transition Year is a one year school based
programme between Junior and Senior Cycle.
It is designed to act as a bridge between the two
by facilitating the smooth transition from the
dependent learning of the Junior Cycle to
         the more independent self-directed
                learning required for the
                     Senior Cycle”

Transition Year is a diverse, dynamic
programme that uniquely meets students'
needs and prepares them for progression
through Senior Cycle and towards Third-
      level and the working world.

Research has shown that students who
complete Transition Year successfully are
more mature, more confident and more
likely to take on roles of responsibility
              moving forward.
