Admission Details

        We encourage you to make an appointment with the admin office before you visit the school for
         admission. The school follows Indian CBSE curriculum. The academic year for all courses commences in
         April and ends in March. While admissions are open throughout the year, but subject to availability. New
         students can register anytime during the academic year with exceptions for those seeking admission in
         CBSE board classes 10 and 12.

        Also, please note that, in compliance with the requirements of CPE, YBIS is required to purchase
         insurance on behalf of its students to protect student fees. The coverage takes effect on the day the fee
         payment is made, and students receive a soft copy of the Certificate of Insurance by email from the
         insurance provider.

Student Pass
                Yuvabharathi is EduTrust certified and so it admits students on Students Pass.
                Students Pass requirements and Relevant Singapore laws etc will be shared.

                      Relevant Singapore laws especially those relating to ICA and Ministry of Manpower. This include, but are not limited to, immigration requirements, laws
                      on driving, drugs and alcohol abuse, employment, smoking, traffic and littering.

                                                                                                       Relevant Law
                Immigration               All international students studying in Singapore must have a valid passport and a Student Pass from the ICA (Immigration
                                          and Checkpoint Authority).
                Employment                International students are not allowed to work in Singapore without a ‘Work Pass Exemption’ from the MOM (Ministry of
                                          Manpower).
                Driving                   All drivers must be in possession of a valid Singapore driving license and the vehicle must be insured.
                Drugs                     Possession of Controlled Drugs is presumed to be for trafficking, an offence which can carry the death penalty.
                Alcohol Abuse             Any offense committed while being intoxicated (drunk) is punishable under the law. Drunk driving is a serious offence.
                Smoking                   Smoking in specific public places and indoor restaurants is prohibited.
                Traffic                   Jay walking is an offence.
                Littering                 Littering, spitting and vandalism (with graffiti) in public areas are serious offences.

Fee Protection Scheme (FPS)
            Industry-Wide Course Fee Protection Scheme (IWC)

              Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) is a mandatory regulatory requirement. In compliance with the requirements of the
              CPE, YBIS has purchased insurance on behalf of the students to protect student fees.
              These include:
                  Insurance cover and Fee Protection Scheme(FPS) is done for fee under SCHEDULE B.
                  YBIS has appointed Lonpac Insurance BHD as the fee insurance provider for its students.

Promotion Policy
                      Criteria for promotion:

                      Kindergarten, Montessori & CBSE Class 1 to 5
                          Attendance requirement: Minimum of 75% for regular students and 90 % for those students on Student Pass.
                          Ability to perform at the level that the student is studying at the time of promotion.

                      CBSE Class 6 to 8
                          Attendance requirement: Minimum of 75% for regular students and 90 % for those students on Student Pass.
                          Qualifying grade:
                            ‘D’ and above in all Scholastic subjects.
                            A student getting grade ‘E’ in scholastic areas in one or more subject will be given a retest to improve grades.

                      CBSE Class 9
                          Attendance requirement: Minimum of 75% for regular students and 90 % for those students on Student Pass.
                          Qualifying grade:
                              ‘D’ and above in all Scholastic subjects.

                      CBSE Class 11
                          Attendance requirement: Minimum 75% for regular students and 90 % for students on Student Pass.
                          For promotion to Class 12 a student should get 33% in each subject. It is important to pass theory and practical/project separately to be
                           considered a pass.

Extra Curricular Activities

                      A wide range of extra-curricular activities (ECA) are offered that help to explore areas of interest and also
                      pursue it further if found talented. Students will be trained through special/experienced coaches.

                            Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) is optional.
                            ECA is conducted during school hours for Class 1 to 3 on Tuesdays and Class 4 to 8 on Thursdays.
                            A fee of S$60 (Excluding GST) /- per month is charged which does not include the material cost.
