PARADE FACTS
the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles invites you to participate in the
121st Annual Chinese New Year Golden Dragon Parade & Festival
Entry: Complete and return the entry form today. Parade order and staging information will
be sent to accepted entries ten (10) days prior to the parade. all entries must be received
no later than JANUARY 6, 2020 to be considered.
Notes: All entries may carry the name of the sponsoring firm or organization in addition to the
parade theme.
Floats must be self-propelled and decorated with fire retardent materials.
No decorated automobiles allowed.
All entries must fit a classification offered.
Entry Fee: A non-profit entry fee of $500.00 is required to be submitted with the application.

213-617-0396 or info@lachinesechamber.org. Please make checks payable to CCCLA.
At no time is any unit allowed to solicit, hand out, or throw
anything along the parade route!
Rules: 1. all participants must be uniformed, costumed, or appropriately attired.
2. all entries should have a postive theme which is non-controversial, respects
diversity, and does not advocate, nor oppose any political candidate, proposition,
or position.
3. all entries in the parade must be approved by the parade committee. any deviation
from the rules must be pre-approved by the committee prior to acceptance.
4. the parade will start promptly at 1:00pm.
5. the parade committee, cccla, pageantry parades, and/or their staff accepts no
responsibilit for false statements made by any applicant and / or entrant.
6. forward motion must be maintained at all times. stopping to perform while on the
parade route is prohibited.
7. no one under the age of nive (9) will be permitted to march (without pre-approval).
8. it is recommended that all units provide a banner
9. all entries must be recieved by thursday - JANUARY 6, 2020.
10. check in closes at 12:45pm. All units must be checked in by this time to participate.
11. firearms, sirens or other loud noises that interfere with other units are prohibited.
12. equestrian groups are required to pick up all refuse in the formation area,
disbanding area, and on the parade route..
13. application, including script and insurance (if required) must be completed and
signed to be considered.
14. acceptance into the parade is at the discretion of the parade committee and all
decisions are final.
15. any violation of these rules may lead to immediate disqualification, and / or removal
from the parade.
