APPLYING TO TEMPLE UNIVERSITY
You can apply to Temple using the Common Application or Temple’s application (admissions.temple.edu/apply).
The application fee is $55. Online applications are processed more quickly, but if you choose to use this paper
application, be sure to carefully read the information on page 2.
APPLICATION DEADLINES

even for transfer students) and Health Information Management
• Spring semester: Nov. 1
REMINDERS
Enclose a check or money order for $55 made payable to Temple University; we cannot accept cash.
If you are mailing your application, only ofcial transcripts, which are those mailed directly or sent through an
electronic transcript service to the Undergraduate Admissions Ofce from the records ofce at a school, a college
or an agency, are accepted.
Sign and date your application.
DO NOT COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION IF…
• you previously attended Temple as a degree candidate (matriculated student). Instead, complete a Request to
Re-enroll form, available online at admissions.temple.edu/re-enroll.
• you have already earned a bachelor’s degree and wish to take courses as a nonmatriculated student or obtain
certifcation from one of our schools or colleges. Instead, complete a Special Student Application, available
from the dean’s ofce of the college in which you wish to enroll or from the Ofce of Continuing Studies
(215-204-2550).

TRANSFER APPLICANTS
You are a transfer applicant if you have attempted 15 or more credits at a regionally accredited college or university
after graduating from high school or earning a GED. You must request all high schools and colleges you’ve
attended to send ofcial copies of your transcripts to the Undergraduate Admissions Ofce. Return your completed
application and fee directly to the Undergraduate Admissions Ofce.
DECISION PROCESS
Once we have received all the required documentation—a signed application, the $55 fee, high school and college
transcripts, and SAT/ACT/GED/TOEFL/PTE scores (if applicable)—we can make an admissions decision. We may
initially review a completed application and request additional information before making a fnal decision.
Students are considered on a Rolling Admissions basis; decisions begin in October for spring applications
and in January for fall applications. Applicants are notifed within four to six weeks of submitting a completed
application, although we hold some applications for a second review. Decisions are made by professional
admissions staf members, who take into consideration college and high school (if applicable) grades, your
essay and other relevant information.
