Hello!
Thank you so much for your interest in my work. I will tell you this now, I simply just LOVE everythiing about what I
do. I put all my love and devotion to giving you unique photo memories of your little one and family. I thrive for you
to have a relaxed and awesome photography session experience. Most of my clients, become repeat clients and
which is just so rewarding.

Fun facts about myself!

I am 38 years old! But always tell people
27 (ha!).

I have two amazing kiddos, Olivia 12 and
Logan 10.

I married my high school sweetheart who
was also my next door neighbour.

I am a hockey momma! And love it.

Photography is my part time job, I am
a full time graphic designer for a great
company that supports military
personnel and their families. I have
worked there for 10 years!

I love going to the gym, coffee, wine,
chips, tacos, rice and have a shawarma
obsession.

I love to travel, my travel list is getting
longer each year! My most recent trip to
Hawaii was pretty amazing,
Bali is the next big one!

I’m obsessed with my dog, named
Harvey he is a mini Bernedoodle and the
most loving fur baby. I also own a lazy fat
orange cat named Dexter.

I moved to Ottawa in 2001, my home
town is Hamilton, Ontario.

I started my love for photography in
grade 11’s photography class - doing
darkroom and using old school film.

My photography bucket list: To
photograph a celebrity, to photograph
triplets (or more) and I would be so
honoured to be featured in a magazine
or on TV!

How to Prepare and What to Expect
ABOUT NEWBORN SESSIONS.
The type of style I use has a technique that works best when babies are very young and sleepy, session must be done
when baby is 3-14 days new to achieve my specific type of newborn techniques. This allows me to mold and shape
them much easier - achieving those natural poses you see in my photos. Some babies are fussier then others and
might be a bit more difficult to soothe, so we do what baby lets us - I will not force baby to do anything if they are not
content. I use a space heater and soothing heart beat noises to help keep babies sleepy and calm, it works great! My
studio is set up with high end studio lighting, allowing me to photograph your session with consistent lighting. These
types of lights give my photographs a very natural look. Newborn sessions are booked weekday evenings at 415pm,
some Saturday morning appointments are available. Please be on time for your session, because sessions can be
long it is best to aim to be 5-10 minutes early.

BEFORE THE SESSION.
Newborn sessions are to be booked in advanced, since I am a part time photographer, it can be very tough to
accommodate a last minute request, so its always best to book in advanced. Once the deposit is made, I will give you
tentative date for the session – usually the weekend after the due date. I always follow up a week or few days before
to find out the progress. Once baby is born, I ask that someone emails or give me a call to let me know and we’ll
determine if the dated booked is still suitable for you.

WHAT TO BRING?
Here is a list of items that I feel are important to bring on the day of your photo session:
- Lots of extra diapers – baby is mostly naked, but diapers go on and off in between if needed.
- Extra set of clothes for parents – when baby is naked, they sometimes soil you!
- Not necessary, but parents are welcome to bring anything they might like to have the baby in a photo with (hats,
items with name, memorabilia etc.)
- Please only bring yourselves (and siblings if are to be in photos) and baby – the studio space in my home is very
limited in size and since working with the newborns is very particular, the less in the room is best. Too many in the
room can be very overwhelming for everyone. A great tip, if your coming with a small child(ren) I will start with family
photos and then one parent can leave with the child(ren) and one parent can stay for the newborn portion of the
session. Since the session can vary in length, small kids tend to get bored and unhappy. The studio is pretty warm,
and this can make them very uncomfortable as well.

HELPFUL TIPS TO DO HOURS BEFORE YOUR SESSION. *VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE FOLLOW!*
Here are some tips for you to try to use before coming, these help baby be sleepy for their session.
1. Keep awake. Try to keep your baby up and awake prior to leaving. It’s a tough one to do, but it has worked to keep
them extra sleepy.
2. Give them a bath. Since babies love the bath and soothes them nicely - this really helps too!
3. Feed them. I totally understand this may not be on schedule with their timing, but even a quick top up before
coming can really help get the session going at the beginning. If not please dont worry, they can feed at anytime
while they are here.
4. Button up onesie. Easy to take off and less chance of waking them up upon arrival.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
A very calm and soothing atmosphere, sometimes the parents get sleepy!! I just love working with the babies, I am
very confidant, patient and feel very comfortable posing them. Trust from the parents gives me the capability to do my
job successfully. SAFETY - this is #1 in my studio, parents are always by my side assisting every pose. Your baby calls
the shots, if they are more awake we will accommodate with those type poses. I usually do 2-3 blanket set ups and a
few other type shots (in a bucket, basket etc.) Will also use a various of neutral hats/accessories to make your photos
creative and unique. Please expect the session to be about 2-4 hours depending on baby and what photo package
is picked. Breaks can be taken to feed whenever he/she needs. In about 4-6 weeks, I will send you a link to your
beautiful newborn photos for viewing and downloading, this is easy and convenient and you receive your images
almost instantly! Until then, I post a few of my favourites as sneak peeks for you on my Facebook page! Please feel
free to tag and share with your family and friends, the photos are really too cute not too!

Anymore questions? Ask away! Best to know all you need to know before your session.

                                       Behind the Scenes
Newborn sessions are shot in my home studio using a bedroom that has been converted to a studio. It is located in
Orleans, ON. I have been doing newborn photography for over 9 years and I just adore every minute of it. I am
comfortable, content and confident in what I do. The studio is kept warm and the atmosphere is calm and quiet to
ensure your baby is comfortable. Safety is the #1 rule when posing babies, parents are always by baby’s side for
support. At the end of your session, I hope to have you leave feeling overjoyed and relaxed knowing your baby was
in good hands and that we captured some amazing shots of your new baby! I focus on capturing all the details so
you will remember them for a lifetime.

As you see below, these are some before and after shots of baby Greyson done in my studio.
