EXHIBITS
The Exhibition Floor is where
students congregate in
between classes and where
Bartender Pass holders spend
their time during the day.
Brand partners reserve a 5x10,
10x10 or 20x10 space* in the
venue where they can share
their product, tell their story
and provide education or
entertainment for our guests.
* Custom spaces are also available.
  Please inquire.
CAREER COUNSELING
A key component of Portland Cocktail Week is mentorship. Each morning of classes, we match
students and mentors based on their mutual interests for hour long Career Counseling sessions.

These sessions are often cited as a highlight for our students and are invaluable as they strive to
grow in the hospitality industry. Mentors have also found employees and friends through this
program. Sponsors will have the opportunity to gift to both mentors and students, provide coffee
and breakfast for these sessions and will be recognized in the space (which can be branded) and
in all digital and printed materials.
FIELD TRIPS
Learning doesn’t just happen in
the classroom. At Portland
Cocktail Week, we encourage our
partners to think beyond the four
walls of the classroom and
develop programming which
highlights their brand while
offering an experience or class
that can help our students grow.
Five Field Trips will be available
for sponsorship in 2019. And
should be tailored for 20-60
students.
EVENT SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
After a long day of classes, we invite our
guests to relax and network at thoughtful
events hosted by our partners. Every
night, we follow a similar pattern:
 5-7 PM - Happy Hour
 7-9 PM - Dinner Event
 9-12 AM - Headline Event
We add After Parties on Wednesday and
Thursday from 12-2AM once classes have
wrapped.
Along with open time slots, a few favorite
events will be making their return.
BROWN & BALANCED COOKOUT
What: Brown And Balanced is a series of pop up bar events that were created to celebrate African
American Bartenders and other bartenders of color to showcase our abilities in behind the bar.
These events are tailored to show the African American and multicultural influence on the spirit
industry through creative cocktails, music and food. The Cookout is the culmination of a year of
events which brings food, music and culture into the mix.
When: November 8 from 12-5PM
LUNCH SPONSORSHIP
Here, you'll host a captive audience of 450+ guests on site for lunch. You can choose to work with
the catering team at the World Trade Center, who can make just about any food you like, or
bring in lunch from a Portland favorite. In addition to the food, you provide the cocktails and any
activities or brand education you'd like to host for our guests!
YEARBOOK
What: During this two hour event, our students will endeavor to put
together an entire yearbook’s worth of photos by using props, backdrops,
green screens and school scenes all while enjoying delicious cocktails.
When: November 11 from 7-9PM
BAR BUILD
What: The Bar Build challenges 40 students to team up and build four separate bar
concepts from drinks to marketing to execution in 8 hours. These teams will have to
present to experts on each element of their concept, and in the end one team will
emerge victorious.
When: November 11 from 7-9PM
BARTENDER SHOWCASE
What: Bartenders from all over the United States converge in Portland for PDXCW. To make the
most of the geographic diversity present, we ask one bartender from each of 25 major cities to
show us what their scene is all about. This event is the only event open to the general public and
consumers.
When: November 12th from 9PM-12AM
VARSITY SQUAD
How do all of these amazing classes and events come together? The Varsity Squad. In following with
the school theme at Portland Cocktail Week, the support team of event focused bartenders who
make the conference run is called the Varsity Team. This group works directly with Lush Life on every
aspect of the event, which ensures they are learning all aspects of event planning from
transportation to liquor control to guest management. Supporting this team offers you direct access
to a group of talented rising stars in the bar industry through hosting them for breakfast, dinner, or
special activities.
