Successful projects are a team effort. We will approach each project as a team and will work to ensure
that all City of Milwaukee needs are identified and met. ADI brings decades of project management
leadership experience to this work. Nathan Elliott will be the project manager and main point of contact.

Our team will work first to clearly identify scope, schedule and budget for each project. If required,
we can assist the Citywith programming, preliminary cost estimates and/or feasibility studies to enable
this. Our team will gather information about existing conditions including on-site assessments, existing
drawings, and staff interviews. Through experience, we know that a detailed understanding of existing
conditions eliminates many complications during construction. If warranted, we will recommend and
work to coordinate material testing and/or limited demolition for investigation.

Once a schematic design is developed and budget has been confirmed, our team will complete design
drawings and specifications as needed in accordance with all applicable county standards and guidelines.
Accurate and thorough bid documents will be prepared addressing all conditions identified in the existing
conditions assessment, as well as agency staging and schedule requirements.

Construction administration services will be performed promptly and attentively with frequent site visits
during significant periods of activity. Record documents and project close-out documentation will be
started during construction to ensure completion immediately after the end of construction.

Milwaukee Streetcar - Operations and
Maintenance Facility and Streetcar Stops

Facility for central dispatch control, operations
and maintenance of Milwaukee’s downtown
streetcar system. The operations center includes a
separate entrance to serve the public. The facility
was constructed under the existing I-794 freeway
overpass and involved extensive coordination
with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
It includes a wash bay, maintenance pit and
mezzanine, bridge crane, and extensive
daylighting. Nathan was project architect for
ADI’s portion which included zoning, envelope
design & construction documents and lead role for
construction administration.

The Milwaukee Streetcar is a dedicated transit
system designed to link together attractions,
hotels, surrounding neighborhood areas, and
shopping and business districts. American Design,
Inc. worked as part of the team designing the
various sites that have been chosen for stops
along the Streetcar route. ADI compiled and
reported information regarding vehicular and
pedestrian traffic, architectural / neighborhood
characteristics, climate, and landscape for
possible station locations around the city. This
Streetcar project includes electric street cars
along predetermined rail routes in downtown
Milwaukee.

Fiserv Forum/ Milwaukee Bucks Parking
Structure

This high-profile project called for the architectural
design of pedestrian circulation spaces,
commercial tenant spaces and 3 facades of the
full block 1200 car parking structure built to
support the new Bucks Arena. Working with our
engineering team ADI conceived and detailed
the stair towers, commercial facades, and screen
that cloaks the parking levels. Responding to the
Planned Development Guidelines established for
this block of the neighborhood, the functional
parking layout prepared by our team and the
design for the New Arena the design was tailored
to fit in style and scale. Adjustments were made
along the way as ADI adeptly demonstrated future
potential with a preliminary housing scheme at
the west edge of the structure, and integrated
a skybridge to connect to the new arena to the
south. From beginning to end, ADI skillfully
managed façade approvals with City Agencies
and Boards, coordinated with engineering and
construction requirements and shepherded the
project through construction submittals.
