Our goal is to be the premier 9-hole Country Club in eastern Iowa, by providing a
memorable recreational experience, where everyone is welcome! Our commitment is to
diversify our activities and events to meet the varying interest levels of our amazing
Membership.
Wahkonsa is one of the only 9-hole clubs in the area that boasts a Championship length 9-
hole golf course with a driving range. There are 5 sets of tees to choose from, Wahkonsa
provides a fun and challenging round of golf for all skill levels. The course has a panoramic
view of the countryside with tree lined fairways and oversized undulating bent grass
greens. Hole 9 is a tremendous finishing hole with a picturesque pond and fountain. The
clubhouse has a friendly and capable staff ready to assist you, offering a wide selection of
beverages and food in a casual setting.
We are very proud of our facilities and continue to make modifications to our clubhouse
including new carpet downstairs this year. We have a very active Membership who is
committed to creating new social events and researching feasible ways to re-open our
outdoor pool. During this exciting time, Wahkonsa is making our fees very affordable to
bring our Club to those who are looking for a memorable recreational and social experience
at a great price.
Whether you have a competitive spirit or simply want to have fun and meet new people,

Business Golf Package
Wahkonsa offers two Business Golf Packages. We understand businesses are looking for
unique ways to recognize and reward their employees and customers. Our Platinum
Business Package includes purchasing 24 golf passes along with single person cart rental
at a discounted price of $650 (valued savings of $190). Our Bronze Business Package
includes purchasing 16 passes of golf along with single person cart rental at a discounted
price of $450 (valued savings of $110).
Remember these passes would be great customer or employee gift and a great way to shop
local!!!
Upstairs Room Rental
Wahkonsa has a beautiful multi-purpose rental area upstairs for your special events. This
space is very flexible for any event you may be planning. As part of this rental space, you
will also have access to our kitchen, private bar and our beautiful deck overlooking the golf
course. Next time you are planning a special party, event or need a meeting room pleaseconsider Wahkonsa as your party and/or meeting destination. Call the Clubhouse for
reservations.
• Member room rental rate $100/day
• Non-member rental rate $200/day
• Bartender service rate $15/hour (per bartender)
• Required is a $50 refundable down payment to secure your date
Couple League
Couples, are you ready for some fun golf? Couples League takes place on Monday nights
typically starting in May and ending in August. This is a FUN league with many different
skill levels and ages of golfers who enjoy playing and having fun. The format includes a
couple as a team using each player’s handicapped score. You do not have to be a scratch
golfer to play. The league has beginning golfers to low handicap players. If you are new to
Wahkonsa this is a great way to meet many Members. The cost in the past has been $40.00
per couple. Couples are any combination of one female and one male.
May is the Couples League kickoff and sign up. On Couple’s night there will be a meal
planned for dinner at a very reasonable cost. We also have an end of the year awards and
dinner banquet that will include all league Members.
Members who would like to play in the Couples League once in a while but not every
Monday are encouraged to sign up to be a substitute. Substitutes can sign up as a couple or
an individual.
If you would like to have a fun night out to play golf with other couples or be a substitute,
please contact the manager at the club house.
Men’s Association
Men’s night is every Thursday starting at noon from May through August. Although there
is no formal league play, there is a Men’s Association that offers several benefits to
Members for a nominal fee of $35.00.
• Selection precedence for the Wah-Liberty tournament, a Ryder Cup format in late
September against West Liberty Country Club
• Free kick-off meal and end of season steak fry
• Discounted or free Wahkonsa men’s team shirts.Men’s Eastern Iowa: Wahkonsa belongs to the Eastern Iowa Golf Association, consisting
of nine golf courses in the area. Monthly events are held between participating courses
between May and July and Members compete to play in the finals, which are typically held
in August. There is an open division as well as a senior’s division (50 years and over) finals
for the Eastern Iowa Golf Association. You must be a Men’s Association Member to
participate.
Scholarships: Our participation in the Eastern Iowa Golf Association includes funds
raised throughout the season that go toward a golf scholarship for a Member or Member’s
child who is currently enrolled or applying for college.
Best-shots: Each month of the season men are invited to participate in a blind draw best-
shot tournament followed by a steak fry. These events start at 5:30 p.m. and dates are
listed on the club calendar.
Women’s Golf League
We would like to encourage all the Wahkonsa women to join the 2021 Wahkonsa Golf
Course Ladies League. We all deserve to take some time out of our busy schedule for
ourselves, and what better way to do that by playing a round of golf, visiting with old
friends and making new ones. Our goal is to make league play as fun and stress free as
possible. Dinner will be offered each week, with some “specialty” nights on the last
Wednesday of the month. Ladies day and league play begins the first Wednesday in May
and runs through the last Wednesday in August. We have added fun days, which will be the
last Wednesday of the month, unless we need to use that date for a rain date. You do NOT
have to be a Wahkonsa Member to participate in the fun day, invite your friends.
Women’s League Format: Our league’s format is team play using handicap. This format
allows golfers of all capabilities to play and contribute. Women wishing to play must be 18
years of age or older to join league. Your league round may be played with whomever you
wish, but your first 9 hold round on league day (Wednesday) must be counted as your
league round. You may play prior to noon, though the 1st tee is open to men until noon. We
will allow “part time” designation for Members who aren’t sure how many days they can
play because of your availability throughout the summer. You play with whomever you
wish at the time that works best for you. Dues are only $10 and $3 for handicap.
Fun “Things”: Just to keep things interesting, there are a number of “fun things” that
Members can participate in. We have a Ringer Board, which shows your personal
improvement from week to week on each hole. You must use your league round (first nine
holes) for this board. We also have two “pin prizes” every week along with other fun weekly
contests. We will wrap up the season with a fall dinner with Food, fun, and of course, lots of
prizes!Women’s Eastern Iowa Golf Association: Wahkonsa is part of the eight Member
Women's Eastern Iowa Golf Association (WEIGA). With over ten, 18-hole qualifying
tournaments from May through July, it is a great opportunity to play other golf courses for
a nominal fee while making new friends. WEIGA also has scholarship and Hall of Fame
programs.
Pool
Our pool has been closed since 2014 and a very dedicated committee has been working since
2018 to reopen our treasured pool. This committee has worked diligently to secure funds to
make the necessary improvements without creating a financial strain on Wahkonsa’s
general membership. We are aggressively targeting our pool to open Memorial Day
weekend (2021) and remain open through mid-August (when school begins). Wahkonsa
Members who are interested in utilizing the pool pay an annual pool assessment fee for
swimming privileges. In addition, we do offer a Social/Pool membership which restricts
golfing privileges however does allow for full access to our social events, upstairs rental and
swimming privileges. Our pool is a private pool, where no lifeguards are present, children
must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We realize our pool provides a unique point
of differentiation with other area 9-hole courses and we welcome you to join us!!
Social Events
If you are looking for other activities outside of golf you have come to the right place, we
organize and offer fun social events throughout the year. There is a heavy emphasis on
these social activities during late Fall, Winter and early Spring. A sampling of past
activities includes; our bonfire, White Elephant Christmas party, Kentucky Derby party,
Painting parties, Vendor Bender, Wine Tasting parties, 5K runs and silent auction events.

2021 New Member Special:
New certificate Members that pay their Membership in full, and certificate, by May 1st,
2021 will receive a $200 Wahkonsa gift certificate!Payments are due with application or may be split into 2 payments. 1st half payment
includes all tax and any applicable certificate fees. The remainder is due on or before May
1st.
MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY
Family: $200.00 certificate fee plus Membership dues and tax includes privileges for the
applicant, spouse, and unmarried dependent children under the age of 21 living at home or
full-time students under the age of 24.
Couple: $200.00 certificate fee plus Membership dues and tax include privileges for the
applicant plus an individual who is either their spouse or a person who shares the same
home address.
Single: $200.00 certificate fee plus Membership dues and tax includes privileges for the
applicant only.
Senior Couple: $200.00 certificate fee plus Membership dues and tax include privileges
for the applicant who is 60 years of age or older plus an individual who is either their
spouse or a person who shares the same home address.
Senior Single: $200.00 certificate fee plus Membership dues and tax includes privileges
for the applicant who is 60 years of age or older.
Junior/College: Membership dues and tax includes privileges for the unmarried applicant
who is less than 26 years of age as of January 1st of the current year. Certificate is not
applicable & no voting privileges.
High School/Junior High: Membership dues and tax includes privileges for the applicant
who is a High School/Junior High student during this Membership year. Play under this
Membership shall be restricted to Monday’s until 5:30pm, Tuesday and Friday tee off times
prior to 5:00pm, and Wednesday and Thursday prior to 12:00 noon. No weekend play is
allowed. Certificate is not applicable & no voting privileges.
Century: Membership dues and tax includes privileges for the applicant who lives more
than 100 miles away from the Club. Certificate is not applicable & no voting privileges.
Social: Membership dues and tax includes all Club & Pool privileges other than Golf.
Certificate is not applicable & no voting privileges.
Pool Assessment: Optional fee for Pool privileges. This is an additional charge to
Members already paying for other Golf Membership.
Trail Fees: Fee required for Member-owned carts to be used on the course.
Gas Shed Rental: Fee required for Member-owned gas carts being housed in course sheds.
Electric Shed Rental: Fee required for Member-owned electric carts being housed in
course sheds.
Individual Annual Cart Lease: One-time fee for individual season long use of club owned
carts.
Family Annual Cart Lease: One-time fee for family season long use of club owned carts.
Half Year Memberships: $200.00 certificate fee plus Membership dues and tax includes
