      Dear Friends,

      Garden Pathways will honor four outstanding Women with a Heart for Bakersfield at our eighteenth
      annual High Tea on Wednesday, May 19: Cassie Bittle, Raymonda Burnham Marquez, Jessica
      Grimes, and Robin Robinson. We are delighted to recognize these notable women who have
      demonstrated exceptional community service and leadership, and have made a positive and lasting
      impact on our community. We also will pay tribute to our seventy former Women with a Heart for
      Bakersfield honorees. They all share Garden Pathways’ heart for Bakersfield. Please join us in honoring
      these outstanding women who inspire, mentor, and empower others to generously serve our
      community.

      and build healthy families. Proceeds from the event will provide mentoring and education services for
      youth and families who are seeking to overcome the challenges of poverty and at-risk conditions and are
      moving towards educational advancement, employment, family stability, self-sufficiency, healthy living, and

   Garden Pathways’ trauma informed approach to “building community from the inside out”
   fosters the healing process among the most vulnerable individuals. This enables them to
   become healthy, productive community members growing in education, leadership, and
   self-sufficiency.
