From 24 to 26 September 2019, Augsburg will focus on flexible, innovative and efficient manufacturing
methods for the second time. The new specialist exhibition in a multi-location format brings AM to life
and creates transparency and clarity in the fast-growing market of industrial additive manufacturing.
With practical business cases, innovations and cutting-edge, tangible exhibits, EXPERIENCE ADDITIVE
MANUFACTURING (EAM for short) helps current and potential users grasp the endless possibilities
of AM in terms of processes, applications and materials, and promotes information exchange and
knowledge transfer.

The exhibitors at EAM include companies from the entire value-adding chain of industrial
additive manufacturing (pre-processing, in processing and post-processing).
The visitors to EAM are current and potential users from the areas of mechanical and plant

dental engineering.

The signal is clear! EXPERIENCE ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, the new user
oriented multi-location event, received an extremely positive reception to its
premiere in September 2018.

and Switzerland represent the ideal catchment area

to hold excellent discussions. EAM was also a very good size and what was on offer was appropriate.
The region of southern Germany is a strong market for additive manufacturing, so with its flexible structure
Augsburg is the ideal location. So for us, participating in the exhibition was worth it. We will add EAM
as a fixed element in our exhibition agenda and come back next year.”

With 13 practice- and application-oriented stations and division into
pre-processing, in processing and post-processing, the special show
‘AM Value Chain’ provided potential users with a simple introduction
to additive manufacturing and thus was very well received.

Thanks to its simple format and practical relevance, the ‘AM Table Talks’ user dialogue
was very well received by visitors and experts alike. Just under 50 talks and use
cases from different sectors with subsequent discussions across all three days ensured
transfer of practice and knowledge.

were presented. In addition, the additive process chain was very well represented in the exhibition. EAM certainly has great

Industry and science shuttles allow participants to take a look behind
the scenes of science (science shuttle to AMLab) and industry (industry
shuttles to voxeljet and Hirschvogel Tech Solutions).
“The organisation of EAM 2018 in Augsburg was excellent, both beforehand and during the implementation.
We had good discussions, particularly with interested parties with a local connection. We also liked the exhibition
itself – the exhibition hall was attractive and the booths were well equipped.
I thought the AM Table Talks format was great and it also attracted more people to the booths. The excursion to
our production facility was also excellent. In addition to an exhibition show, it is also important for visitors to see
the processes in practice for themselves. It was a very successful combination.”
