COMPETITION RULES –
NATIONAL USSD
CARLING BLACK LABEL·THURSDAY, 23 MAY 2019

1. This promotional competition (“Competition”) is run by The South African
Breweries (Pty) Limited (“Promoter”) and is open to all members of the public
who are 18 years of age or older and resident in South Africa, except the
employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, the Promoter’s
advertising and promotion agencies, the Promoter’s associated companies, and
outlet owners and their immediate families and staff.

2. The rules may be amended by reasonable notification at any time during the
Competition and will be interpreted by the Promoter only. Participation by the
entrants (“Participants”) constitutes acceptance of these rules.

3. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend, cancel or extend this
Competition in part or in its entirety (including but not limited to, value and/or
prize, bookings and/or planned activities). In the event of an amendment,
alteration and/or cancellation, the Promoter will not compensate any individual
for any reason whatsoever.

4. The National On-Pack Competition (prepaid airtime rewards) begins on
24 May 2019 and ends at midnight on 23 July 2019(5(i) below).

5. The Coaches’ Experience Competition (which forms a separate element of
the National On-Pack Competition) begins on 24 May 2019 and ends at
midnight on 17 July 2019(5(ii) below).
6. In the National On-Pack Competition (all classes of trade), the prizes are as
follows:

(i) There are prepaid airtime rewards to be won, as well as 750 double tickets
(level 1) to the Carling Black Label Cup final (“CBL Cup”) to be held at FNB
Stadium on 27 July 2019(“Match Day”) to be won. Participants will be allowed
to enter to win airtime rewards and double tickets until midnight on 23
July 2019.The Promoter does not accept responsibility for lost, corrupted or
delayed/late entries as a result of any network, hardware or software failure of
any kind. No entries automatically generated by a computer will be accepted.
Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

(ii) There is also a Coaches’ Experience element of the Competition, the
mechanics of which are as follows:

· 2 Participants (1 Participant supporting Kaizer Chiefs (“KC”) and 1 Participant
supporting Orlando Pirates (“OP”)) who enter via the on-pack mechanic by
voting for their full final starting line-up and completing their entries, or via the
SABC radio promotion,will stand a chance to win a place to attend the “finals day”
in Johannesburg on 20 July 2019, where they will compete for the opportunity to
win a ‘Coach Experience prize’ (including to be the ‘Champion Coach’, a “behind
the scenes” experience with their chosen team, together with a coaches’ dugout
experience only at the CBL Cup on Match Day). The winners of tickets and the
Coaches’ Experiences can only redeem their prizes by attending the CBL Cup on
Match Day (as the prizes are only valid for that day and that match). If any
winners are unable for any reason to attend the Match Day, they will not be
compensated with other prizes and will not be permitted to transfer their prizes
to another day/match or another person. The promoter will not be responsible
for any claims relating to forfeiture or inability to use any prize on CBL Cup
Match Day. Please note that the Promoter may at their own discretion remove
and change a finalist on grounds of conduct and/or actions which don’t inhibit
the Champion Coach consumer.

· To enter the Coaches Experience via the SABC radio promotion, participants
must call into defined ‘soccer’ radio shows, as advertised by the particular
station, to answer a football related question. The DJ of the particular show will
select the winner. His / Her decision is final, and no correspondence will be
entered into. Each week, 2 stations will select 4 winners. The Promoter reserves
the right to amend this schedule at any time, without notice. The SABC promotion
begins on 3 June 2019 and ends at midnight 12 July 2019 (“Competition Period”),
and will run on participating SABC radio shows only, at defined times.

· Reasonable and necessary travel and accommodation costs are included in the
Coaches’ Experience prize only. All other prizes exclude all costs associated with
accepting and using the prizes.

· The Coaches’ Experience element of the Competition closes on 17 July 2019.
Participants who enter via the on pack mechanic, or SABC radio promotion must
have already voted for their full final starting line-up and completed their valid
entries to be eligible to enter to stand a chance to win a Coaches’ Experience, and
these Participants will be verified through their cell phone numbers.

· All participants who are selected via USSD and the SABC radio promotion, will
be screened, prior to the selection of 12 finalists who will attend the “finals day”
in Johannesburg on 20 July 2019, where they will compete for the opportunity to
be the ‘Champion Coach’ at the CBL Cup on Match Day. If any finalists are unable
to attend the finals, they will forfeit the opportunity and other finalists will be
selected to participate in their place. There will be no compensation and no
transfer of entries to another person. The promoter will not be responsible for
any claims relating to forfeiture of entry or prize.

· The top finalists who win the “finals day” event on 20 July 2019, will be notified
and will be invited to attend the TV broadcast, where the 2 final winnings
“Champion Coaches” will be announced (1 Participant supporting Kaizer Chiefs
and 1 Participant supporting Orlando Pirates). Even if the finalists are unable to
attend the broadcast, they will still be eligible to win one of the two Champion
Coaches Experiences.

7. To be entered into the draw for prepaid airtime rewards, Participants
must purchase any specific promotional single packs of Carling Black Label
(“CBL”) (340ml NRB, 500ml can, 750ml RB, or 1L RB) at participating outlets
between 24thMay and 23 July 2019, and find the 10-digit unique code on the
crown underliner or can ring pulls. Participants must accurately dial
*120*660*unique code# (entry costs 20c / 20s). Mobile network operator data
costs may apply. No late entries will be accepted.

(i) This entry mechanic is available only to prepaid subscribers on South
African cellphone networks excluding Virgin Mobile.The airtime reward will
be automatically credited to the cellphone number from which the valid unique
code was sent. Winners will receive an electronic top up of prepaid airtime and
will receive confirmation of airtime credited directly from their cellphone
network within 48 hours of entry. The Promoter is not liable for any delays in the
delivery of the airtime.

(ii) Each Participant may enter up to 350 separate manual times only during the
competition period, each time with a different valid unique code from an
individual bottle or can of CBL. The number of entries may be capped at 2 per day
at the discretion of the Promoter. The promoter may block cell numbers based on
abuse. No entries automatically generated by a computer will be accepted.The
Promoter does not accept responsibility for lost, corrupted, delayed or
incomplete entries as a result of any network, hardware or software failure of
any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

8. Entry for the Coaches’ Experience:A valid USSD entry will allow the participant
the opportunity to vote for their selected ‘Game Changer’ and make a player
selection for his/her team of choice on the same unique code used to enter for
the airtime. ‘Game Changers’ will only be announced on the 28 May 2019, and
therefore, participants will only have an opportunity to vote for their preferred
‘Game Changer’ via the on-pack mechanic, from the 28 May 2019.

9. Game Changer voting: On the 28thMay 2019 participants will have an
opportunity to express their opinion on a number of selected ‘Game Changers’, as
part of the on-pack mechanic, on USSD, website, as well as on Twitter polls and
radio call-ins. The selection process will close for ‘Game Changers’ on the
30thJune 2019. Following the selection process, Carling Black Label in
partnership with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will, subject to requisite
approvals, endeavour to implement a minimum of one Game Changer(s) into the
Carling Black Label Cup match-day. The selected Game Changer(s) is at the
discretion of the promoter.

10. A specified number of Finalists (“Finalists”) will be selected by draws
periodically over the Competition Period, and via the SABC Radio promotion, to
attend the “finals day’ on 20 July 2019. Participants consent to being contacted by
SAB via SMS to advise them of their progress in this Competition.

11. Voting for substitutions will take place on Match Day at a 50c per SMS
(Standard SMS rate), and via Twitter (Standard data rates apply).

12. The prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged for their cash value.

13. In the event of a dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to make media announcements and/or
publications of the names and photographs of the winner/s, provided that any
winner/s may elect to expressly / in writing decline this. Promoter also reserves
the right to carry out audits in respect of any entries and winner/s of the
Competition in order to verify their validity and eligibility.

15. All Participants and winners indemnify the Promoter, its associated and
subsidiary companies, and its directors, officers, employees and agents, against
any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect,
consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from their
participation in any way howsoever in this Competition.
