PROGRAM OVERVIEW Through its partnerships with the world’s top professional soccer teams and na6onal federa6ons, genera6on adidas interna6onal consistently offers the best in youth development opportuni6es. 2019 promises to be the best year yet, as genera6on adidas interna6onal, Club Brugge, and the Royal Belgian Football Associa6on team up to bring you a truly elite opportunity. This program pairs a training program at one of the top Belgian clubs, Club Brugge, and Na6onal Federa6on, the KBVB, with the Women’s World Cup! Held in Brussels, Belgium and Valenciennes, France, the 2019 knockout round Women’s World Cup program will take place from Friday, June 21, to Sunday, June 30. genera6on adidas interna6onal takes you right to the heart of the ac6on with premier development opportuni6es, including training sessions with Academy coaches, compe66ve friendly games, sightseeing ac6vi6es, and the op6on to see World Cup games* (*games are op6onal and are subject to addi6onal cost).
THE ROYAL BELGIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION The Royal Belgian Football Association, also known as KBVB, is the governing body of soccer and futsal in Belgium. Less than 20 years ago, the KBVB made a bold decision to redesign the country’s soccer blueprint by adopting the same vision for clubs, national teams, and coaches. They began by implementing a particular style of play in the under-18 programs across the country and emphasizing development at the youth level. They deemphasized the importance of winning and urged a delayed introduction to full-size pitches, opting for a five-a-side and seven-a-side play. The national team experienced and explosion of talented youth players and some of the biggest names in soccer today in soccer are a testament to the blueprint. These players include Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne, Chelsea phenomenon Eden Hazard, Manchester United striker- midfield duo Romelu Lukaku and Maroane Fellaini, and goalkeeping sensation Thibaut Courtois. You’ll experience first hand the recipe for success that revolutionized soccer in Belgium and propelled the Belgian national team to one of the top ten in FIFA world rankings today.
THE ACADEMY genera6on adidas interna6onal offers the opportunity for young players of all ages and levels to experience the youth development approach of the most celebrated club in Belgium, Club Brugge KV. The Academy develops players to be highly skilled and mo6vated with a ‘no sweat, no glory’ mentality, and work within a framework to give aVen6on to every aspect of development: technical, tac6cal, physical, mental, and social. THE CLUB The Belgian Club Brugge KV is one of the most decorated and supported soccer clubs in Belgium.
