Regattateam Brandenburg Beetzsee e.V.Brandenburg an der Havel – The hosting city of the 2020 ICF World Championships Juniors and U23
Greetings of the President of the Federal Canoe Federation 3
of Brandenburg Michael Schröder
As President of the Brandenburg Canoeing Association, I would
like to invite all participants, team staff, officials and hopefully the
numerous guests and spectators to attend the 2019th
International Brandenburg Cup for Youth and Juniors from 24th to
26th of May 2019 in Brandenburg an der Havel.
For almost 50 years the traditional regatta course on Lake
Beetzsee has been the venue for many national and international
canoeing events.
The unique natural location on the lake Beetzsee, the high level of technical
equipment, the generous and multifunctional buildings as well as the many
dedicated organizers and volunteers of the regatta team have contributed to the
fact that the regatta course is one of the top addresses for the organisation of
international competitions. The cosmopolitan and hospitable city of Brandenburg
will again prove to be an excellent host this year.
The new format of an international Brandenburg Cup for youth and juniors is
intended to give young athletes in particular the opportunity to compete in
international comparison.
We would like to thank the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Federal
State of Brandenburg, the City of Brandenburg, the German Canoe Federation,
numerous sponsors and volunteers who support the preparation and
implementation of the International Brandenburg Cup.
We can look forward to exciting competitions in the youth and junior level.Brandenburg an der Havel – The hosting city of the 2020 ICF World Championships Juniors and U23

I wish for the 2019 International Brandenburg Cup a successful and smooth course,
good water and weather conditions, fair competitions and the highest sporting
achievements.
I wish you some pleasant days in Brandenburg an der Havel-the city on the river.
