FRENCH COURSE

 STANDARD COURSE
 Lessons are taught through an interactive teaching method. Students
 will take part in a host of interactive and didactic activities in
 speaking and writing. With the use of various teaching aids students
 will actively participate in dynamic exercises involving real life situations
 and role-playing.

CLASS STRUCTURE
Standard Course:
   • 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week
   • From Monday to Friday (except on the first Monday of their stay
     which is dedicated to the placement test)
   • From 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (15-20 min. break)
   • 12 persons maximum par classe
WHERE DO CLASSES TAKE PLACE?
 Lessons take place at « Le Château » school or at the Port school.

ACCOMMODATION

 Students are accommodated in modern en-suite studios.

 HALF BOARD

 Breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday in the school restaurant.

 Situated in a quiet area between Antibes and Juan-les-Pins:
  • 10 min by walk from the beaches and the centre of Juan-les-Pins and Antibes.
  • On site: rest area and large terrace.
  • Accommodation in studios with private bathroom and air-conditioning.

IMPORTANT NOTES
 • Sheets are supplied for the duration of your stay and are changed every week. Towels are not provided.
 • Light housekeeping is carried out daily, and a thorough clean is done once a week.

PLAN OF ACTIVITIES
HALF DAY EXCURSIONS

■ ANTIBES / THE PICASSO MUSEUM
The old town is famous for its ramparts along the sea and the long wall along the harbour. There are plenty of
little streets to explore, a lot of restaurants to taste Provencal cuisine, and lots of shops to buy original gifts. The
Picasso Museum is in the charming seaside “Chateau Grimaldi” in the old town of Antibes. Discover the work and
living space of Pablo Picasso which now houses several of his most important artistic works. The museum is also
home to work by Nicolas De staël and boasts a terrace with sculptures by various artists.

■ SAINT PAUL DE VENCE / THE MAEGHT FOUNDATION
Saint Paul de Vence is one of the most beautiful medieval villages of France.
The Maeght Foundation is a true museum in nature. This exceptional site contains one of the most important
collections in Europe, with paintings, sculptures, drawings and graphic works from the 20th century: Bonnard,
Braque, Calder, Chagall, Giacometti, Léger, Miró.

■ VISIT OF THE PERFUMERY FRAGONARD AND THE VILLAGE OF GOURDON
Grasse offers different laboratories and workshops allowing to understand the fabrication process involved in
creating a perfume. The museum displays an exceptional and rare collection of perfume artefacts spanning 5000
years of history.
Gourdon is a village whose identity has been forged over the centuries by fruit of its land and its artisans: creations
combining ceramics and handmade glass, jewelry shops handmade or olive wood, Provencal clothing, perfume,
candies, candles and much more.

■ CANNES
Cannes is the «star» of the French Riviera, famous for the International Film Festival and its “Palais des
Festivals” which rolls the red carpet out for international stars of the silver screen every year. Luxury hotels,
cars, beaches attract tourists from around the world.

HALF DAY ACTIVITIES

■ GAME OF PETANQUE
Favorite sport in the South of France, it is traditionally played with metal balls on an earth ground.

■ PROVENÇAL TASTING PRODUCTS IN THE SCHOOL
Discovery of the olive tree and its products. The students will make their own tapenade (paste prepared with
olives, capers and crushed anchovies). They will leave each with the pot they have prepared and the recipe.

FULL DAY EXCURSION:

■ NICE
Nice, capital of the Côte d’Azur, will seduce you with the charm of its neighborhoods, its markets and its
seaside: famous «Promenade des Anglais». You can find also a large number of museums (Chagall, Matisse,
Museum of Modern Art, etc.) and theaters.
■ AIX EN PROVENCE
A tour of Aix en Provence is a chance to travel in time. Its architectural and cultural heritage is accessible to
everyone, treasures that you will discover simply by walking around the town. Aix en Provence, the capital of
Provence, is a living history book, with a rich heritage thousands of years old. Discover its museums, the old
town and Villeneuve («new town»), the Mazarin Quarter, the Course Mirabeau.

■ MONACO
With its exceptional location, between mountain and sea, Monaco is a highly cultured place with many
museums, the best hotels in the world, the sumptuous gastronomy and well-known restaurants.
