8th Biennial National Meeting on Headache
                            17th - 18th January 2019
                  LAZAAT RESTAURANT, COTTINGHAM, HULL

Dear Colleague,

I have pleasure in inviting you to attend the 8th Biennial Hull-BASH National meeting on
headache organised jointly by the British Association for the Study of Headache and the
Department of Neurology at Hull Royal Infirmary. The meeting runs over two days and
covers wide range of topics on headache diagnosis and management. The meeting is approved
for 12 External CME points by the Royal College of Physicians.

The meeting in Hull is the largest headache meeting in the UK that is widely attended. In
2017 we had 230 delegates from all over the UK and abroad. This year we have invited global
experts including Professor Lars Edvinsson (President of the International Headache Society),
Professor Messoud Ashina (President Elect of the IHS), Professor Arne May (Editor-in chief
of Cephalalgia), Professor Peter Goadsby (past president of the IHS). In addition key
speakers from BASH would be covering a range of headache topics of common interest.

The meeting will suit General Neurologists, Neurology trainees, General physicians and
General practitioners. The meeting is supported by an educational grant from Allergan
Pharmaceuticals. Refreshments and lunches on both days are available free of charge.
The meeting invites case presentations from trainees in GP, Neurology on the case based
discussion afternoon. Five best cases will be selected for presentation from all submitted
cases. The faculty will award the two best cases who will be invited to the 19 th Congress of
the IHS in Dublin, September, 2019.

The meeting is free. However, the venue can only accommodate up to 300 delegates and
it is very likely that the event will be oversubscribed; therefore, to guarantee your place,
I would advise to reserve as early as possible to avoid disappointment. To guarantee a
place, you can pay £ 25 via paypal account or send a cheque for £ 25, dated 19/1/19,
payable to the British Association for the Study of Headache along with your
registration form. The payment/cheque will be returned to you on the day at the
registration desk but would be credited to BASH if you fail to attend. Post your cheques
to:
Debbie Buttle, Department of Neurology, Wilson Building, Hull Royal Infirmary,
Anlaby Road, Hull HU3 2JZ
For paypal payment the account is Fayyaz.ahmed@hey.nhs.uk

There will be conference dinner on Thursday, 17th January 2017 at the Lazaat
Restaurant open to all delegates to meet and interact with the global experts. The cost
will be £ 40 payable to the British Association for the Study of Headache or via paypal.
