Welcome to All Saints Church!
We are thankful you are here this morning! If you’re visiting with us, we hope that
     you feel welcome.

All Saints Church’s worship includes a formal liturgy. Liturgy (literally meaning “the
work of the people”) is the structured way in which God’s people worship Him.
What that means is that at some points in the service we’ll take time to be quiet and
pray, at other times we’ll respond together with song or Scripture, and still, at other
times, we’ll take in the spoken Word of God.

Our liturgy is shaped by the same storyline of Scripture. We were created in the
image of God, to re ect His love. We have corrupted love by living for ourselves
instead of living for God and we deserve God’s judgment. God demonstrates his
gracious love for us by redeeming sinners through the death and resurrection of His
Son, Jesus. We anticipate our nal home and kingdom where God’s love will be fully
expressed and experienced. We give thanks to God who spared from the loveless
place of hell and given us the joyous place of eternal life with Him.

We ask that you participate in whatever manner comfortable for you. Sometimes
people may raise their hands in praise during worship, others might close their eyes,
others may appear more solemn. We would also encourage you to bring your own
natural speaking voice and expressive style to the mix as we recite Scripture, sing and
respond together. It’s a picture of the variety in which God created us.

If you are with us via webinar, should you have any di culties with the connection or
sound, please don’t hesitate to let us know so that we can improve the streaming
     experience.

We are thankful to have you here with us.
May the LORD bless you richly today in worship together of the God of love.
And may you know how deeply you are loved.

Please be seated.

We gather today in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
the Source of all fruitfulness and faithfulness.
Amen.

We come confessing to You, O merciful God
Our lack of fruit and our lack of faith.
We plead the fruit of Christ’s sacri ce for us.

What have You given to me that I thought myself the source, O Lord?
What talents have You gifted to me that I use only for my own gain?
What skills have You granted to me that I have neglected to o er back to You?
Forgive my faithlessness, O Lord.

What holy ambitions have You put in my heart but I have rejected?
What hunger pangs of right living have You shown me but I have refused?
What hurting souls have You placed before me but I have chosen to sow my attention elsewhere?
Forgive my fruitlessness, O Lord.

[Take this time in silence for self-examination and personal confession.]

Source of all goodness and grace, we pray:

Awaken our souls to a life
  of faithful dependence upon You,
     of fruitful obedience to You,
         of forgiveness extended to others
as it was o ered completely to us.

O Lord, hear our prayer.
Amen.

New Testament Reading
                                                                                            Mark 11: 12-25

12 On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. 13 And seeing in the
distance a g tree in leaf, he went to see if he could nd anything on it. When he came to it, he
found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for gs. 14 And he said to it, “May no one ever eat
fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it.

15 And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold
and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the
seats of those who sold pigeons. 16 And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the
temple. 17 And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called
a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.” 18 And the chief priests
and the scribes heard it and were seeking a way to destroy him, for they feared him, because all the
crowd was astonished at his teaching. 19 And when evening came they went out of the city.

20 Asthey passed by in the morning, they saw the g tree withered away to its roots. 21 And Peter
remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! e g tree that you cursed has withered.” 22 And Jesus
answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken
up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will
come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 erefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that
you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have
anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Prayer for ose Searching for Truth
Lord Jesus, you claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. Grant that I might be unafraid by the
cost of following you as I consider the reasons for doing so. If what you claim is true, please guide
me, teach me, and open to me the reality of who you are. Give me an unde standing of you that is
clear, convincing, and that leads to the life that you promise. Amen.

     Prayer of Belief
Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever dared admit, but through
you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt on the
cross, taking what I deserved in order to o er me complete forgiveness. Knowing that you have
been raised from the dead, I turn from my sins and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Amen.

Prayer for ose Overcome by Sin
Lord Jesus, grant that I may see in you the ful llment of all my need, and may turn from every false
satisfaction to feed on you, the true and living bread. Enable me to lay aside the sin that clings so
closely, and run with perseverance the race set before me, looking to you, the pioneer and perfecter
     of my faith. Amen.

     Prayer for Covenant Children
Lord Jesus, thank you for placing me inside your family, the church. Help me more and more to
know you, to love you, and to follow you as your faithful disciple. Amen.

WHO IS ALL SAINTS CHURCH?
We are a people of God, sinners made saints by the gift of grace through Jesus
Christ’s perfect life, substituting death and conquering resurrection. Together as the
people of God, the Church, we walk according to His Holy Spirit through our
dependency upon the life-giving means of grace: His Word, His sacraments,
fellowship and prayer.

WHY ARE WE HERE?
To enjoy and proclaim the grace and glory of God in our everyday lives of worship in
order to display the love of Jesus and the hope of His gospel transformation to the
lives of individuals, families, the community of Green Bay and the world.

HOW WILL WE LIVE OUT THIS MISSION AND VISION?
By trusting in God to bring Gospel transformation to our own lives and the lives of
our neighbor through:

                           GOSPEL-SHAPED WORSHIP

                      GRACE-DEPENDENT DISCIPLESHIP

A FAITHFUL PRESENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY

                                          13
LIFE TOGETHER AT ALL SAINTS CHURCH
We are in the Season of Lent
Lent is a “season of springtime” in the church calendar of preparation and re ection, forty days leading up to
the death and resurrection. Similar to what we are learning in the gospel of Mark, we are called to head on
the same road of our Savior: the path of sacri ce. Here are some speci c ways in which we are, as a church,
coming together to celebrate this season together:

              Wednesday Prayer Mornings in Lent
For the next seven Wednesdays, from 7:00-7:15 AM via conference call, we will be using Jesus’ last words
on the cross as our centerpiece for prayer. If you would like to “opt-in” this Lenten season and receive
text alerts to join us, please text us at (920) 362-5027 so we can send invitation to you each week.

A Journey rough Lent: Re ecting on Christ’s Sacri ce for Us
is Bible study walks through seven psalms over the course of the 40-day season. We are o ering three
di erent options for this study, one o ered on Tuesday evenings and one on Wednesday morning.
Tuesday afternoon study for all from 5:15-6:30 at our church o ce.

Prayer and Financial Help for Nations in Con ict
Many are feeling the burden of how we as a church might help and serve in the con ict between Ukraine and
Russia. Our denomination’s missions agency, Mission to the World (MTW), has provided prayer links and
donation opportunities to join with other believers in prayer during this crisis. You can nd links on our
          homepage, allsaintsgb.org.

Fourth Sunday Feast Moved to NEXT Sunday, April 3rd
In honor of our four year anniversary as a church (April 1st), we have moved our fourth Sunday feast to
Sunday, April 3rd to celebrate the Lord’s work of transforming grace here at All Saints. We will be having a
baked potato bar and birthday cake.
