Advance Pro Basketball’s 2021 NBA
           Mock Draft
                                By: Alex Brown
Intel & Prediction Based – Not Personal Preference

                                 Round 1
1) Detroit Pistons:

                       Cade Cunningham
         6’8, 220 - Point Guard - Oklahoma State - Fr.

Cade Cunningham is the surefire choice at 1, as he has a complete
skillset for the modern game and the perfect mold to be the coveted
Advance Pro Basketball's 2021 NBA Mock Draft
jumbo initiator. On top of being an incredible passer that the numbers
didn’t show at OK State, his shotmaking and bag is deep enough to
make him a strong bet to be a star in the league for a long time. I love
his fit alongside Killian Hayes as well, as every team needs multiple
ball handlers that can get to their spots and manipulate the defense.
It should be great for both of their off-ball development tracks, and I
am all for that. Home run for the Pistons.

Upcoming FA: Dennis Smith Jr. (restricted), Hamidou Diallo (restricted), Saben
Lee (restricted), Frank Jackson, Wayne Ellington

2) Houston Rockets:

                           Jalen Green
             6’5, 185 – Guard – G League Ignite 2002

Jalen Green’s upside is perceived as sky high due to his shotmaking,
elite athleticism, and self-confidence. The dude can flat out score,
and his above the rim play is sure to make fans wherever he goes.
While I prefer Mobley, Green would be an interesting move for
Houston to create a wing-scoring tandem that would give on-ball
defenders fits.
Advance Pro Basketball's 2021 NBA Mock Draft
Upcoming FA: Avery Bradley (team), Armoni Brooks (restricted), Sterling Brown,
Dante Exum, DaQuan Jeffries (UFA), Anthony Lamb (RFA), David Nwaba, Kelly
Olynyk, Justin Patton, D.J Wilson (restricted).

3) Cleveland Cavaliers:

                              Evan Mobley
                          7’0 - Big - USC - Fr.

As the second best prospect on the board, the Cavs should be thrilled
to find a big that fits in perfectly with their timeline and the modern
game. While I personally wouldn’t pass on him at 2, the Rockets
seem enamored with Green’s upside.

Evan Mobley gives the Cavs a rare inside-out tandem to build around
alongside Garland and Sexton. Allen can play alongside Mobley as
well if they see him as a part of their long-term future. From a skill
and tools standpoint, Mobley is everything you want in a big for the
modern NBA. Mobley possesses a rare toolbox that lets him handle
Advance Pro Basketball's 2021 NBA Mock Draft
the ball, defend smaller players in space, and protect the rim at a high
level. He processes the game very quickly, and has a quiet,
professional approach to his craft. While his shooting is still
improving, it is most definitely buyable.

Upcoming FA: Jarrett Allen (restricted), Matthew Dellavedova, Isaiah Hartenstein
(player), Jeremiah Martin (restricted), Brodric Thomas (restricted).

4) Toronto Raptors:

                            Jalen Suggs
               6’4, 205 - Point Guard - Gonzaga - Fr.

With Kyle Lowry aging and hitting free agency, the Raptors should
look to add a linking initiator like Suggs that competes on both ends.
The roster has a lot of young promise already, and adding someone
with Jalen’s skillset would be a great move to bring the best out of
these young pieces. He will be able to make an impact nearly
immediately and fits well in any timeline the Raptors choose to
Advance Pro Basketball's 2021 NBA Mock Draft
pursue. He might not have the same upside as the top 3 picks, but he
is going to be a very good guard for a long time.

Upcoming FA: Kyle Lowry, Stanley Johnson, Gary Trent Jr. (restricted), Khem
Birch.

5) Orlando Magic:

                         Scottie Barnes
             6’8, 225 – Forward – Florida State – Fr.

Barnes is highly liked around the league due to his energy,
intangibles, physical tools, athleticism, defensive switchablilty, and
playmaking. While he will be limited offensively to start due to the
shooting woes, he has a defensive role right away as a 1-4
switchable forward. The Magic can afford to bet on his offense
coming around later, and in the meantime they can have him defer to
the young scorers on the roster and act as the glue guy on offense.
Advance Pro Basketball's 2021 NBA Mock Draft
Upcoming FA: James Ennis, Otto Porter Jr., Chasson Randle, Sindarius
Thornwell (restricted), Mo Wagner, Ignas Brazdeikis (restricted), Frank Mason III.

6) Oklahoma City Thunder:

                          James Bouknight
                 6’4.75, 190 – Guard – UConn – So.

The Thunder would have a hard time passing on a guy that can get
them a bucket like Bouk can. He is a natural scorer with
competitiveness and a killer instinct, and he could step up to be a key
part of the Thunder rebuild, creating a very dynamic offensive guard
tandem with SGA. He is a very streaky player in general, but there is
no denying that his mentality and ability to handle pressure is right up
the Thunder’s alley philosophically.

He is still young, only turning 21 this September, and has a ton of
upside to work with for a sophomore. He needs to get his shot more
consistent and his handle tighter.
Advance Pro Basketball's 2021 NBA Mock Draft
Upcoming FA: Tony Bradley (restricted), Josh Hall (restricted), Jaylen Hoard
(restricted), Mike Muscala, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (restricted).

7) Golden State Warriors: (via Minnesota)

                        Jonathan Kuminga
             6’8, 220 - Wing - G League Ignite – 2002

He showed some improvements as a passer and could really get to
his spots, but a lot of the question marks about his game going into
the season still remain prevalent. There is no denying the upside, and
seeing his size and length in person (and just standing next to him)
emphasized how excellent his tools really are.

Although Davion Mitchell is an intriguing piece to add to a playoff
team, if Kuminga is on the board I have a hard time seeing them pass
on that upside despite the risks (as we saw with Wiseman). Plus, a
young player with Kuminga’s potential could mean a lot more than
Davion Mitchell if the Warriors planned on making a move for another
star player, especially if they packaged 7/14 and Wiggins (or
Wiseman).

Upcoming FA: Kent Bazemore, Kevon Looney (player), Nico Mannion
(restricted), Kelly Oubre Jr., Juan Toscano-Anderson (restricted).

8) Orlando Magic: (via Chicago)

                           Moses Moody
                 6’6, 211 – Wing – Arkansas – Fr.

Moody’s stock did not exactly surge after a tough NCAA tournament,
but the right team will see the value in what he does on both ends.
That team could be the Magic, who would add a tough, lengthy
complementary defender and shotmaker to their wing setup. Moody
can plug and play with the current roster, giving the young scoring
guards a wing that can get to his spots on the ball while also being a
spot up threat.

Moody’s ability to score at all 3 levels and get to the line all whilst
being a tough defender with the physical tools for the NBA should
make him a top 10 lock despite the recency bias from the
tournament.

Upcoming FA: James Ennis, Otto Porter Jr., Chasson Randle, Sindarius
Thornwell (restricted), Mo Wagner, Ignas Brazdeikis (restricted), Frank Mason III.

9) Sacramento Kings:

                          Franz Wagner
            6’9, 220 – Wing/Forward – Michigan – So.

Finding complementary floor spacing wings is going to be a focus of
Sacramento this offseason, and while Wagner is not the best shooter
on the board, he is still projecting to be strong enough to make a
difference.

Wagner fills in a lot of the gaps that the Kings are currently missing
on both ends and provides an intriguing linking piece to their young
group. The defensive versatility he provides at the wing/forward spot
makes him such an intriguing choice for a team that sorely needs
wing defense and tertiary playmaking compliments to Haliburton and
Fox.
He got in much better physical shape this year, and it improved his
defense by a notable amount. He is, at worst, a strong role player that
can come in and do the little things well offensively while adding plus
value on defense. At his best, he ends up having secondary initiator
value and develops into a more legit shooting threat. Plus, he is still
very young (turns 20 in August).
Upcoming FA: Richaun Holmes, Mo Harkless, Hassan Whiteside, Terence Davis
(restricted), Kyle Guy (restricted), Louis King (restricted).

10) Memphis Grizzlies (via Pelicans):

                          Corey Kispert
                 6’7 215 – Wing – Gonzaga – Sr.

With the Cam Johnson success empowering teams to go for their guy
at the wing early (even if he’s an older role player), it would not
surprise me to see Kispert at 10 if Wagner is off the board. With
Justise Winslow’s $13 mil team option likely to be declined, Kyle
Anderson hitting UFA in 2022, and the Grizzlies looking to be a
perennial playoff team, adding a shooting specialist that can hold his
own on D would be the move.
Kispert would be an excellent compliment to this young group that
would help push this team forward in the playoffs. He could thrive as
a kickout option, and give Memphis a punishing shooting duo with
Bane and him coming off the bench.

Kispert gives you a true professional that can shoot the lights out off
movement and off the catch. He is showing strong flashes off the
dribble as well, and is a sound team defender that should be
serviceable on the ball.

Upcoming FA: Tim Frazier, Killian Tillie (restricted), Justise Winslow (team)

11) Charlotte Hornets:

                               Kai Jones
                    6’11.5, 221 – Big – Texas – So.
Kai was a guy I had as a first rounder coming into last year due to his
upside, athleticism, and tools, and he really didn’t manifest as that
talent. This year, he did. While he still struggles with similar
hindrances as before, there just aren’t a lot of guys in the world that
can move like him, shoot, and handle. Alongside LaMelo, Kai would
thrive as a transition nightmare and lob threat in cuts & rolls. If he can
continue to refine that shot and commit to the mental side of the
game, he could be scary. If not, I like what he gives you as an energy
role player that can beat his man down the floor, finish plays, shoot a
bit, and defend in space.

Upcoming FA: Cody Zeller, Malik Monk (restricted), Bismack Biyombo, Devonte
Graham (restricted), Brad Wanamaker, Nick Richards, Grant Riller (TW), Nate
Darling (TW).

12) San Antonio Spurs:

                              Josh Giddey
6’7, 192 - Point Guard - Adelaide 36ers – INTL 2002

Giddey is a surprisingly strong fit in San Antonio, as I believe putting
him off the ball defending the wing spot (2 or 3) is his best role while
playing that lead guard role on offense. With Murray and White
already on the roster, Giddey gives you a unique pure point guard
with size to pair with different score first guards that can play both
ends.

With young pieces like Lonnie Walker, Keldon Johnson, and Devin
Vassell, a linking initiator like Giddey that plays cerebral team first
basketball would be a nice complement to push the squad further and
build synergy for the future core.

Upcoming FA: DeMar DeRozan, Patty Mills, Trey Lyles, DaQuan Jeffries (team),
Keita Bates-Diop (restricted), Gorgui Dieng, Quinndary Weatherspoon
(restricted).

13) Indiana Pacers:
Davion Mitchell
             6’1.25, 202 – Guard – Baylor – Jr. (Rs)

If the Warriors do not pick up Mitchell at 7, other scouts (and myself
included) think there is a real chance he could slip out of the top 10.
Indiana would be a nice landing spot despite their myriad of guards,
as he adds defense, grit, and shooting that would complement
Brodgan and Sabonis very strongly. Even off the bench, he gives you
a guy that competes and can help you win a couple more games to
push into the playoffs.

Mitchell’s breakout shooting, gritty defense, and NCAA Tournament
performance solidified his value in the eyes of executives across the
league. While his age and size make him less valuable in the lottery
in my eyes, there is no denying what he does well transfers to an
NBA role.

Indiana’s trade potential is rather high, as Myles Turner should be
shopped to playoff teams looking for a rim-protecting center that can
stretch a bit. Sabonis as the hub-5 has been the most effective use of
him. If a trade like that does occur to a “win now” team that includes
this pick, a point guard that compliments that timeline would be a
strong pairing.
Upcoming FA: T.J McConnell, Doug McDermott, JaKarr Sampson, Edmond
Sumner (Team Option), Amida Brimah (TW), Cassius Stanley (TW).

14) Golden State Warriors:

                          Chris Duarte
                 6’6, 190 - Wing – Oregon – Sr.

Coachable supporting pieces that can make a winning impact right
away are what the Warriors should be adding, and Duarte fits this
mold perfectly. While it is a sort of free agency signing due to
Duarte’s age, the window to compete with Steph, Dray, and Klay is
open, and adding a high value role player like Duarte for cheap is a
move that they could get away with.

Despite being 24, Duarte’s shotmaking, off-dribble creation, feel, and
intangibles make him an attractive option for teams looking to
compete during his rookie contract, and his stock is at an all time high
with playoff teams potentially looking to move up for him.
If any team is likely to make a trade move in the lottery, the Warriors
would be my bet. I could see Indiana being involved as well.

Upcoming FA: Kent Bazemore, Kevon Looney (player), Nico Mannion
(restricted), Kelly Oubre Jr., Juan Toscano-Anderson (restricted).

15) Washington Wizards:

                           Trey Murphy III
                 6’9.25, 206 – Wing – Virginia – Jr.

With established stars in Russ & Beal and young pieces like
Hachimura and Avdija, Trey Murphy III would land in a system that
will let him play a high impact supporting role early while developing
his creation skillset (which has improved notably, and is further along
than even I anticipated). Along with him being a legitimate 3&D wing
that finished with the coveted 50/40/90 season, he also has shown
that he can create breakdowns off the ball with his 99th percentile
cutting. That is just what a team in the Wizards’ position could use,
especially considering that they were only 33rd percentile in 3pt
shooting accuracy (per Cleaning the Glass) and 32nd percentile on
corner 3’s, which Murphy hit at a ~45% clip. Murphy will make
Westbrook and Beal’s gravity that much more valuable.

Plus, this could help bring out the best in Deni Avdija, who was asked
to play a bit out of character as a spot up threat and defender instead
of a glue guy playmaker. With Murphy potentially filling that role,
hopefully Avdija can be used in a way more suitable to his skillset.

The demand is rising rapidly for Murphy, and he is unlikely to stay on
the board for long in this market.

17 to the Pelicans would be another very strong fit that I can definitely
see happening.

Upcoming FA: Robin Lopez, Ish Smith, Raul Neto, Alex Len, Isaac Bonga
(restricted), Cassius Winston (restricted), Garrison Mathews (restricted)

16) Oklahoma City Thunder:

                           Isaiah Jackson
                   6’10, 206 – Big – Kentucky – Fr.
The Thunder could go for an energy 5 that can protect the rim at a
high level and finish plays at the dunker spot and thrive as a roller. He
also fills a need for OKC, with opposing teams scoring at a 67% clip
at the rim vs. the Thunder (19th percentile defense).

With Poku, SGA, Jackson, and Bazley, the Thunder would have a
funky, lengthy, athletic young group with upside in spades. While
Jackson does need to put on some muscle, defend without fouling,
and refine his shot, he has the potential to be a really solid player
who can play the role you need him to.

Upcoming FA: Tony Bradley (restricted), Josh Hall (restricted), Jaylen Hoard
(restricted), Mike Muscala, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (restricted).

17) New Orleans Pelicans (via Memphis Grizzlies)

                           Keon Johnson
               6’4.75, 185 – Wing – Tennessee – Fr.
Keon would be an electric presence in transition with Zion, and could
thrive as a catch and drive & cutting threat off the gravity of Ingram
and Zion. If his shot continues to develop, he could be a really solid
playoff piece for this group moving forward.

Upcoming FA: Lonzo Ball (restricted), James Johnson, Josh Hart (restricted),
Willy Hernangomez, Didi Louzada (team), James Nunnally (RFA).

18) Oklahoma City Thunder: (via Miami)

                          Jaden Springer
              6’4.25, 202 – Guard – Tennessee – Fr.
With excellent secondary initiator potential and strong guard defense,
Springer’s appeal for a role payer/linking piece is evident. He is
strong around the rim for his size, has a mid range bag, and a
developing 3pt shot that has excellent flashes. Springer evidently
crushed his workout with OKC as well, and for their timeline it would
not surprise me if they took a shot at someone as young as Springer.

Upcoming FA: Tony Bradley (restricted), Josh Hall (restricted), Jaylen Hoard
(restricted), Mike Muscala, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (restricted).

19) New York Knicks:

                          Sharife Cooper
              5’11, 175 – Point Guard – Auburn – Fr.
Sharife is one of the most interesting guards in the class. He gets
advantages with ease on the offensive end due to his ability to
handle, pass, and manipulate P&R at a high level. However, his
shooting was quite poor and his size leaves a lot to be desired. He
reminds me a bit of Trae Young as a passer due to his ability to fling
one handed passes off a live dribble, but he needs to shoot the ball at
a level that’s high enough to keep the defense from going under on
ball screens and not dropping too hard on him.

I want him to develop that dual floater/lob threat that we see Trae go
to so often, as I think he is one of the few guards that has the passing
touch, advantage creation, and processing speed to do so.

Upcoming FA: Derrick Rose, Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Elfrid Payton, Reggie
Bullock, Taj Gibson, Mitchell Robinson (team), Frank Ntilikina (restricted), Theo
Pinson (restricted), Jared Harper (restricted).

20) Atlanta Hawks:
Jalen Johnson
              6’9.25, 210 – Point Forward – Duke – Fr.

Johnson could slip this year, and it may benefit him. If he does, the
Hawks would be a very solid landing spot for him where he can play
that playmaking 4 spot off the bench alongside Okongwu. The Hawks
needed that from Collins often to get Capela easy buckets, and they
could replicate those sets with Okongwu and Johnson off the bench.

Johnson considers himself a lead guard, but his best role in the NBA
will be a playmaking forward due to his lacking advantage creation at
the guard spot. This would be an optimal place to acclimate on paper,
whether or not that’s acceptable will be on him.

Upcoming FA: Brandon Goodwin (restricted), Skylar Mays (restricted), John
Collins (restricted) Nathan Knight (restricted), Solomon Hill, Kris Dunn (player),
Lou Williams, Tony Snell

21) New York Knicks: (via Dallas)
Alperen Şengün
              6’10, 240 – Big – Besiktas – INTL 2002

Şengün has been one of the most accomplished young players to
ever come out of the BSL. He is extremely polished offensively, but
leaves a lot to be desired as a modern big on defense. He is in that 4
on defense, 5 on offense role that has struggled in the league thus
far, but his offensive value alone should keep him in a role.

InStat’s Global Head of Basketball, Ermay Duran, compared his value to that of
Enes Kanter’s.

Upcoming FA: Derrick Rose, Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Elfrid Payton, Reggie
Bullock, Taj Gibson, Mitchell Robinson (team), Frank Ntilikina (restricted), Theo
Pinson (restricted), Jared Harper (restricted).

22) Los Angeles Lakers:

                             Cam Thomas
                     6’4, 210 – Guard – LSU – Fr.
Cam is a bucket. There is no denying that this kid can flat out score at
a high level. He works hard on his offensive bag and should be able
to make a scoring impact in the league off the bench pretty quickly for
a freshman prospect. The Lakers could use a guy that can shoot you
into games off the bench and get his own.

His defense, passing, and ancillary skills look underdeveloped and
are unlikely to add value yet, and should be the focus of his
development if he wants to do anything other than score. Having
LeBron and AD as mentors would be a great situation for him and a
notable ego check.
Upcoming FA: Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell (player), Wesley Matthews,
Alex Caruso, Jared Dudley, Markieff Morris, Talen Horton-Tucker (restricted),
Andre Drummond, Ben McLemore, Kostas Antetokounmpo (restricted),
Devontae Cacok (restricted).

23) Houston Rockets: (via Portland)

                        Usman Garuba
         6’8, 230 – Forward – Real Madrid – INTL 2002
After a strong defensive performance against team USA in an
exhibition game, Garuba’s intensity and versatility are fresh in the
minds of teams everywhere. If Green is the pick at 2, I love what
Usman gives you as a versatile defender that can pick up the best
wing/forward along with Tate.

Offensively, the Rockets can afford to wait on his development with
Green and KPJr. holding the reins on scoring. All Garuba would need
to do initially is move the ball (short roll, hub), finish as the roller, run
the floor, cut with purpose, and play the dunker spot. If he shoots,
Houston landed an absolute steal.

Upcoming FA: Avery Bradley (team), Armoni Brooks (restricted), Sterling Brown,
Dante Exum, DaQuan Jeffries (UFA), Anthony Lamb (RFA), David Nwaba, Kelly
Olynyk, Justin Patton, D.J Wilson (restricted).

24) Houston Rockets: (via Milwaukee)
JT Thor
            6’9.5, 203 – Wing/Forward – Auburn – Fr.

Thor’s physical and athletic tools paired with his budding skillset
make him an intriguing option for teams picking in the late first round.
At nearly 6’10, he looks the part of a modern 4 that can slide in space
with guards and give you some helpside rim protection as well. With a
7’3.25 wingspan and a 9’2 standing reach, his length will be a notable
deterrent inside as well.

Offensively, he can play above the rim and has the potential to
stretch the floor at a really solid level. He has flashed some shot
creation as well with impressive footwork. Overall, Thor is a great
upside play for teams that could use a defender day 1 and a player
they can afford to wait on offensively.

Upcoming FA: Avery Bradley (team), Armoni Brooks (restricted), Sterling Brown,
Dante Exum, DaQuan Jeffries (UFA), Anthony Lamb (RFA), David Nwaba, Kelly
Olynyk, Justin Patton, D.J Wilson (restricted).

25) Los Angeles Clippers:

                                 Tre Mann
6’4.25, 178 - Guard – Florida – So.

Tre Mann blossomed as a shotmaker this year that could get to his
spots at will off the dribble. I think his best role in the league will be as
a bench guard that can step up and get his own when the offense
needs a spark. He can get to his spots in P&R and off isos, making
up for over 50% of his offense in college.

I want to see him improve as an off-ball threat and defender, but
tough off-the-dribble shotmakers with size find a place in the league.

Upcoming FA: Kawhi Leonard (player), Serge Ibaka (player), Patrick Patterson,
Nic Batum, Reggie Jackson, DeMarcus Cousins, Amir Coffey (restricted).

26) Denver Nuggets:

                           Ziaire Williams
                 6’9.75, 188 - Wing – Stanford – Fr.
The Nuggets should either look at a surefire rotation piece or swing
for the fences. Teams are still up & down on Williams, but there is
obvious upside here in the nearly 6’10 wing with a silky smooth
jumper and strong intangibles.

He is a project that needs to add weight in order to be more effective
around the rim and defensively, but this is a project I would absolutely
undertake at 26.

Also, I love Ziaire’s fit in this team’s locker room. He has leaders and
cerebral play to foster his game and no pressure to fill a high impact
role early, leading me to think he could really thrive here.

Jared Butler would be a great piece to add as well.

Upcoming FA: Will Barton, Paul Millsap, JayMychal Green, JaVale McGee,
Austin Rivers, Troy Daniels, Shaq Harrison, Markus Howard (restricted).

27) Brooklyn Nets:

                             B.J Boston
                  6’7, 188 - Wing – Kentucky – Fr.
B.J Boston would be an incredible hit if he shows anything close to
how good of a high school prospect he was, and you can take that
risk at 27 when you have as strong of a group as BKN does right
now.

His adept off the dribble shooting and touch were his calling cards,
but his inability to hit shots this year really exposed his lacking value
when he isn’t scoring. He needs to add muscle to be able to own his
space on both ends, and that should help with the confidence coming
into the league after a shaky season.

Upcoming FA: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jeff Green, Tyler Johnson, Bruce Brown Jr.
(restricted), Blake Griffin, Mike James (restricted), Reggie Perry (restricted),
Chris Chiozza (restricted).

28) Philadelphia 76ers:

                             Jared Butler
                  6’3.75, 193 – Guard – Butler – Jr.
After being medically cleared to play in the NBA, Butler landing with
the 76ers would be a match made in heaven. With Embiid’s post
gravity and the myriad of playmakers on the roster, Butler could come
in and play that off-guard role and utilize his superb off-ball shooting
to the fullest.

He could get you a bucket with that pull-up in the playoffs too, which
is something the 76ers were missing with Hill (but not with Maxey).
Maxey and Butler could prove to be a punishing two-way small guard
tandem off the bench that can defend and hit OTD jumpers.

Upcoming FA: Danny Green, Mike Scott, Dwight Howard, Gary Clark (restricted),
Rayjon Tucker (restricted).

29) Phoenix Suns:

                           Day’Ron Sharpe
                     6’10, 260 – Big – UNC – Fr.
The Suns could use a bench big that can set strong screens, move
the ball, and rebound, and that could be Day’Ron Sharpe. Being able
to pick up the dirty work and link the offense together when Ayton is
out of the game is something that Dario and Frank struggled with
heavily in the playoffs, and Sharpe could be the answer.

While I think Sharpe needs to add another offensive tool to be viable
in games that matter, he is a young, intelligent big that has the
physical tools to make it in the league.

Upcoming FA: Chris Paul (player), Frank Kaminsky, E’Twuan Moore, Langston
Galloway, Torrey Craig, Cam Payne.

30) Utah Jazz:

                           Joe Wieskamp
                  6’7.25, 205 – Wing – Iowa – Jr.
Joe Wieskamp was one of the best players in the Big 10 and a major
sleeper choice to be a solid role player for a long time. He gave me
Justinian Jessup vibes, but he likely has a quicker path to the league.
After shooting a blistering 46.1% from 3 this year, it is hard to see Joe
not find a role in a league that values wing shooters as much as they
do. He is a serviceable defender as well, and I genuinely would not
be surprised if he plays a good role 8+ years in the league.

Upcoming FA: Mike Conley, Georges Niang, Ersan Ilyasova, Juwan Morgan
(restricted), Jarrell Brantley (restricted), Trent Forrest (restricted).

                                      Round 2
Due to the sheer amount of picks some of these teams have (especially NOLA, BKN, DET, and
OKC owning a combined 13 second round picks), I am expecting a lot of second round
movement. Fit should not be huge in the second round, BPA should be the strategy.

31) Milwaukee Bucks:
Nah’Shon Hyland
                  6’3.5, 169 – Guard – VCU – So.

I like Bizzy Bones Hyland as a high 2nd round pick due to his elite
shooting and solid length for a guard. With the success of Quickley,
Hyland could be an attractive option as teams get more comfortable
with smaller 2’s providing advantages as OTD shooters and spot
creators. The NBA champions would not miss adding a guy that can
get a bucket when it matters.

Upcoming FA: P.J Tucker, Bobby Portis (player), Bryn Forbes (player), Thanasis
Antetokounmpo (restricted), Jeff Teague, Axel Toupane (restricted), Justin
Jackson.

32) New York Knicks:

                            Josh Primo
                 6’5, 189 – Guard – Alabama – Fr.
Primo is one of the youngest players in the draft, and teams see a
ball handler with size that can shoot the ball at a solid level. He is still
raw and did not produce much at Alabama, but his upside is
convincing enough for teams for him to get drafted in the late
first/early second. He is a hot name that could rise a little more, but
the second round feels right for me.

Upcoming FA: Derrick Rose, Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Elfrid Payton, Reggie
Bullock, Taj Gibson, Mitchell Robinson (team), Frank Ntilikina (restricted), Theo
Pinson (restricted), Jared Harper (restricted).

33) Orlando Magic:

                            Scottie Lewis
                  6’5.25, 187 – Wing – Florida – So.
It is hard not to love Scottie’s energy and character. His defensive
aggression and length (7’0 wingspan) make him an ideal candidate to
fight his way into a role just by playing his heart out. His shot is still a
question mark, and likely will only be serviceable, but he can score in
transition, off drives, and as a low option cutter.

Upcoming FA: James Ennis, Otto Porter Jr., Chasson Randle, Sindarius
Thornwell (restricted), Mo Wagner, Ignas Brazdeikis (restricted), Frank Mason III.

34) Oklahoma City Thunder:

                          Miles McBride
             6’2.5, 195 – Guard – West Virginia – So.
McBride was one of my personal favorite prospects to watch this year
due to his mobility, defensive acumen, length, and shotmaking. He
should be able to carve out a role in the NBA, even if he is not your
traditional guard.

Upcoming FA: Tony Bradley (restricted), Josh Hall (restricted), Jaylen Hoard
(restricted), Mike Muscala, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (restricted).

35) New Orleans Pelicans:

                          Josh Christopher
             6’4.5, 215 – Guard/Wing – Arizona St. Fr.
JC is well known for his swaggy demeanor and mid range
shotmaking, but he can play some tougher on ball defense when
engaged and has an excellent frame for a 2. Whether or not he can
play off the ball at the next level will be key to his development, but
he is a hard guy to bet against with that self-confidence.

Upcoming FA: Lonzo Ball (restricted), James Johnson, Josh Hart (restricted),
Willy Hernangomez, Didi Louzada (team), James Nunnally (RFA).

36) Oklahoma City Thunder:

                         Charles Bassey
            6’10.25, 230 – Big – WKU – Jr. (Med RS)
Bassey has had an interesting road to the draft, and after recovering
from injury he had a really solid year. His length is solid with a 7’3
wingspan, and he blocked 3.1 shots per game this year whilst
averaging a double-double. He needs to continue to show that he can
modernize his game on the outside and deviate from post heavy
offense, but he could be a good bet fro a bench 5.

Upcoming FA: Tony Bradley (restricted), Josh Hall (restricted), Jaylen Hoard
(restricted), Mike Muscala, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (restricted).

37) Detroit Pistons:

                            Ayo Dosunmu
                    6’5, 194 – Guard – Illinois – Jr.
Ayo fits the mold of a secondary P&R initiator who can give you an
advantage in downhill situations due to his incredible finishing. While
he is not adept at creating power plays, he is very good at finishing
them at the rim or on his mid-range pull-up. He has strong intangibles
and an admirable work ethic that is hard to bet against, and if he can
become a larger threat from deep, watch out.

Upcoming FA: Dennis Smith Jr. (restricted), Hamidou Diallo (restricted), Saben
Lee (restricted), Frank Jackson, Wayne Ellington

38) Chicago Bulls:

                          Herb Jones
          6’7.25, 206 – Wing/Forward – Alabama – Sr.
Herb Jones fits the bill for a Chicago team that has its established
scorers, as he defends and moves the ball at a level that would help
elevate the bench. He would have a great year one mentor in Thad
Young. Herb could provide much needed defensive help off the
bench and help take some of the load off of Patrick Williams, who is
often tasked with defending the opposing team’s best player. Despite
some turnover issues, Herb can dribble, pass, and defend at a level
worth investing in. The shooting is a work in progress (though he did
make 20/57 from deep this year).
Sam Hauser, Wieskamp, Kessler, and RaiQuan are also names to monitor here.

Upcoming FA: Devon Dotson (restricted), Cristiano Felicio, Javonte Green
(restricted), Lauri Markkanen (restricted), Adam Mokoka (restricted), Garrett
Temple, Daniel Theis, Denzel Valentine
Incoming Signing: Marko Simonovic

39) Sacramento Kings:

                        Kessler Edwards
           6’8, 203 – Wing/Forward – Pepperdine – Jr.
Kessler Edwards brings solid defense, developing shot creation, and
(hopefully) serviceable shooting to the wing. Despite shooting 39.5%
from deep over 3 years, he still looks a bit worrying at times due to
the volatility and general shot mechanics. If he continues to produce,
that would be great, but I am less confident in shooting ability than
the numbers would indicate. His skillset and tools scream role player,
and the Kings should be happy to pick him up at 39.

Upcoming FA: Richaun Holmes, Mo Harkless, Hassan Whiteside, Terence Davis
(restricted), Kyle Guy (restricted), Louis King (restricted).

40) Memphis Grizzlies (via Pelicans)

                         Quentin Grimes
            6’5.25, 210 – Guard/Wing - Houston - Jr.
After struggling the last couple years, Grimes finally had his breakout
year, averaging nearly 18 ppg on 40% shooting from deep (over 8
attempts per game). He has had a strong pre-daft process that has
reminded teams why he was such a heralded high school recruit. He
should be a late first/early second round pick.

Upcoming FA: Lonzo Ball (restricted), James Johnson, Josh Hart (restricted),
Willy Hernangomez, Didi Louzada (team), James Nunnally (RFA).

41) San Antonio Spurs:

                      Jeremiah Robinson Earl
                6’9, 242 – Forward – Villanova – So.
JRE showed his usual polish this year on both ends, but remains in
an odd archetypal position as a primarily back to the basket 4 (24% of
his collegiate possessions this year) that doesn’t have length or an
outlier shot.

However, JRE defends at a high level and is a smart, poised, and
mature basketball player. His path to success in the NBA would
involve him becoming a legit floor stretcher, and while his jumper
passes the eye test the results have no been there. He could be a
good role player if his shot comes around, but that is his ceiling.

Upcoming FA: DeMar DeRozan, Patty Mills, Trey Lyles, DaQuan Jeffries (team),
Keita Bates-Diop (restricted), Gorgui Dieng, Quinndary Weatherspoon
(restricted).

42) Detroit Pistons:

                          Sam Hauser
          6’8, 217 – Wing/Forward – Virginia – Sr. (Rs)
Hauser was one of the best shooters in the entire NCAA at 6’8. He
can shoot it off the dribble, off the catch, and off movement, all of
which is pretty valuable for a modern forward. He wouldn’t ever be
better than serviceable on defense, but if he is passable then he can
play a role in the league for a while.

Upcoming FA: Dennis Smith Jr. (restricted), Hamidou Diallo (restricted), Saben
Lee (restricted), Frank Jackson, Wayne Ellington

43) New Orleans Pelicans:

                      Sandro Mamukelashvili
              6’10, 240 – Forward – Seton Hall – Sr.
Mamu had a very impressive season, showing off point forward
versatility (doubling assist rate), deep range, and high confidence. He
will need to get better defensively to really stick in the league, but his
offensive package is a pretty enticing bet in the second round for the
modern game.

Upcoming FA: Lonzo Ball (restricted), James Johnson, Josh Hart (restricted),
Willy Hernangomez, Didi Louzada (team), James Nunnally (RFA).

44) Brooklyn Nets:

                           RaiQuan Gray
                 6’7.75, 268 – Forward – FSU – Jr.
Gray has always been interesting due to his unique body, skill, and
mobility combination. He needs to get in better shape of course, but
he has a unique skillset for a potential linking piece that can defend
the 3 and 4 spots.

Upcoming FA: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jeff Green, Tyler Johnson, Bruce Brown Jr.
(restricted), Blake Griffin, Mike James (restricted), Reggie Perry (restricted),
Chris Chiozza (restricted).

45) Boston Celtics:

                           Neemias Queta
                  7’0.5, 248 – Big – Utah State – Jr.
Queta has been on scouts’ radar for quite a while now. While his
decision-making and feel is still behind, he rebounds, blocks shots,
and has the size and frame of an NBA 5. He was one of the most
impactful defensive bigs in the NCAA this year, and posted an
incredible 13.2% block rate.

Upcoming FA: Evan Fournier, Luke Kornet, Semi Ojeleye, Tremont Waters
(restricted), Tacko Fall (restricted)

46) Toronto Raptors:

                            Joel Ayayi
                6’5, 180 – Guard – Gonzaga – Jr.
Ayayi is the definition of solid. He is a linking piece that gives you a
little bit of shooting, a little bit of passing, good defense and smart
basketball. He has a chance to crack a rotation, and some potentially
untapped upside due to general role sacrifice.

Upcoming FA: Kyle Lowry, Stanley Johnson, Gary Trent Jr. (restricted), Khem
Birch.

47) Toronto Raptors:

                          Daishen Nix
          6’4.25, 225 – Point Guard – G League Ignite
Nix is intriguing due to his bulky frame, playmaking, and size at the 1.
He had some great flashes in the G-League and held his own
defensively against pros, but will really need to develop his shot if he
wants to stick in a rotation.

Upcoming FA: Kyle Lowry, Stanley Johnson, Gary Trent Jr. (restricted), Khem
Birch.

48) Atlanta Hawks:

                            Jericho Sims
                    6’10, 250 – Big – Texas – Sr.
After impressive showings at the combine and in private workouts,
Sims has played his way into the second round of the draft. He is
bouncy, strong, and knows his role. He would be a strong candidate
for a two-way deal with the chance to play his way onto a roster.
He needs to work on defending without fouling and free throw
shooting, but the role player potential is there for a third center.

Upcoming FA: Brandon Goodwin (restricted), Skylar Mays (restricted), John
Collins (restricted) Nathan Knight (restricted), Solomon Hill, Kris Dunn (player),
Lou Williams, Tony Snell

49) Brooklyn Nets:

                           Juhann Begarin
                 6’5, 185 – Wing - Paris – INTL 2002
Begarin has been on a late rise at the right time. The bouncy wing is
a good option for a stash due to his age, upside, and budding skillset.
He still has years to go before he has a chance to play in the league,
but he is a good piece to let develop overseas.

Upcoming FA: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jeff Green, Tyler Johnson, Bruce Brown Jr.
(restricted), Blake Griffin, Mike James (restricted), Reggie Perry (restricted),
Chris Chiozza (restricted).

50) Philadelphia 76ers:

                      Rokas Jokubaitis
   6’4, 195 – Guard – Zalgiris (Via Barcelona) – INTL 2000
Rokas showed some quality stuff this year, shooting 34.9% from
deep over 76 games, per InStat. He is likely to struggle around the
rim despite his shifty ball handling, as he is rather contact averse and
lacks the touch to make it passable. He can get to his spots on the
perimeter and mid range, but struggles to get to good rim attempts
against drop. A ball handler that can initiate P&R and play off the ball
with his shooting package could find a role in the league or be a good
stash.

He has such an ideal stash opportunity that I doubt he goes
undrafted, and could go as high as the early 40’s.

Upcoming FA: Danny Green, Mike Scott, Dwight Howard, Gary Clark (restricted),
Rayjon Tucker (restricted).

51) New Orleans Pelicans (via Grizzlies)

                           Jason Preston
                6’4, 180 – Point Guard – Ohio – Jr.
As one of the feel-good breakouts in this class, what Jason Preston
lacks in tools he makes up for with strong feel and craft. He is a
talented P&R initiator with some scoring chops, and has a chance to
land in a backup PG role at his peak. He doesn’t give you a lot
defensively, but he is a mature and intelligent player that wont take
an opportunity for granted.

Upcoming FA: Lonzo Ball (restricted), James Johnson, Josh Hart (restricted),
Willy Hernangomez, Didi Louzada (team), James Nunnally (RFA).

52) Detroit Pistons:

                                Jay Huff
                        7’2 – Big – Virginia – Sr.
While Jay Huff’s archetype has been hit or miss in the NBA in players
like Luke Kornet and Frank Kaminsky, I believe that Jay can be better
than both of those guys. He has a great head on his shoulders,
protects the rim at a high level, and can score in roll, at the dunker
spot, and off pick and pop jumpers.

He would be high on my list of two-way deals just because he is a 7’2
stretch 5 that can defend and move well. However, his defense was
augmented notably by the pack line system, and I am not as
confident in him being able to recover after hedging P&R at the next
level. If he doesn’t pan out in the NBA, he could have a very strong
career at the high levels overseas.

Upcoming FA: Dennis Smith Jr. (restricted), Hamidou Diallo (restricted), Saben
Lee (restricted), Frank Jackson, Wayne Ellington

53) New Orleans Pelicans:

                        Austin Reaves
        6’5.75, 197 – Guard/Wing – Oklahoma – Sr. (Rs)
Despite a down year shooting the ball, Reaves has teams interested
in a potential plug and play low rotation wing that can handle and
shoot. Reaves is mature and sure go about his opportunity like a true
pro.

Upcoming FA: Lonzo Ball (restricted), James Johnson, Josh Hart (restricted),
Willy Hernangomez, Didi Louzada (team), James Nunnally (RFA).

54) Indiana Pacers:

                          Isaiah Todd
          6’10, 219 – Forward – G League Ignite 2001
On one hand, Todd is interesting due to his shooting stroke and on
ball defense. On the other, he is very frustrating as a decision maker
that doesn’t always seem to know what the team expects from him.
That improved this year with the G-League, but he needs time before
teams buy him as an NBA piece. Considering his outlook (or his
camp’s) on his draft value, he could slip if it really rubs teams the
wrong way.

Upcoming FA: T.J McConnell, Doug McDermott, JaKarr Sampson, Edmond
Sumner (Team Option), Amida Brimah (TW), Cassius Stanley (TW).

55) Oklahoma City Thunder:

                        David Johnson
          6’4.75, 203 – Guard/Wing – Louisville – So.
Johnson improved this year as a shooter and had a couple standout
performances, but took a backseat to Carlik for quite a bit this year.
He could be a good gamble of a linking player in a buy low situation
for a second round team.

Upcoming FA: Tony Bradley (restricted), Josh Hall (restricted), Jaylen Hoard
(restricted), Mike Muscala, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (restricted).

56) Charlotte Hornets:

                          Filip Petrusev
       6’11, 235 – Big - KK Mega Soccerbet – INTL 2000
Filip had a productive year with Mega, averaging 23.6ppg and 7.6
rebounds while shooting 41.9% from deep on 3 attempts per game.
His showing of a much improved 3pt stroke has team interested in
him as an inside out bench big with potential avenues to stash. He
needs to improve as an interior defender and will get played off the
court if asked to play anything but drop, but there is a chance he
could land on an NBA roster for a couple years.

Upcoming FA: Cody Zeller, Malik Monk (restricted), Bismack Biyombo, Devonte
Graham (restricted), Brad Wanamaker, Nick Richards, Grant Riller (TW), Nate
Darling (TW).

57) Charlotte Hornets:

                          Aaron Henry
              6’6, 210 – Wing – Michigan State – Jr.
Henry is a tough defender with length and a budding offensive game.
His shooting and turnover issues keep me concerned, but wings that
can defend have solid pro careers. An NBA team could see a path to
making him a serviceable shooter so that he can be playable, but if
not I fear he is a G League or INTL piece.

Upcoming FA: Cody Zeller, Malik Monk (restricted), Bismack Biyombo, Devonte
Graham (restricted), Brad Wanamaker, Nick Richards, Grant Riller (TW), Nate
Darling (TW).

58) New York Knicks:

                           A.J Lawson
             6’6.75, 180 - Wing - South Carolina - Jr.
Lawson has fallen a bit under the radar, but there is appeal here for a
bouncy scoring wing that can shoot the 3 with confidence and
volume. Guys like that tend to land somewhere in the league. He is
likely a two-way piece for a while, but has a chance to crack a roster.

Upcoming FA: Derrick Rose, Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Elfrid Payton, Reggie
Bullock, Taj Gibson, Mitchell Robinson (team), Frank Ntilikina (restricted), Theo
Pinson (restricted), Jared Harper (restricted).

59) Brooklyn Nets:

                         Vrenz Bleijenbergh
              6’11, 210 – Wing - Antwerp – INTL 2000
Vrenz has been everywhere on the workout tour, and all he needs is
to impress one team. His shot is a bit funky and his free throw
shooting is worrying, but Vrenz is a legit 6’10 - 6’11 ball handler that
can pass it with self-confidence. The road to success for Vrenz will be
tough but possible, and will likely involve putting on a lot of muscle
and grinding on his defense. He is an interesting project nonetheless.

Upcoming FA: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jeff Green, Tyler Johnson, Bruce Brown Jr.
(restricted), Blake Griffin, Mike James (restricted), Reggie Perry (restricted),
Chris Chiozza (restricted).

60) Indiana Pacers

                           Greg Brown III
                 6’8.5, 206 – Forward – Texas – Fr.
Greg Brown is an athletic, mobile, bouncy forward with high self-
confidence. His shot and defense are pretty decent as well, but he
struggles with the ancillary skills he will need to be a successful NBA
player. He is a non-threat as a playmaker, and can be wild and erratic
with the ball in his hands. He is a real boom or bust type of player,
and with his feel teams are worried about the latter.

Upcoming FA: T.J McConnell, Doug McDermott, JaKarr Sampson, Edmond
Sumner (Team Option), Amida Brimah (TW), Cassius Stanley (TW).
