Camp Manali is a great opportunity for youth and adults to experience the Himalayas.
The seven-day program includes exciting sessions packed with fun, adventure and
insights. There are adventure activities, including trekking, rafting, river crossing and
rappelling. There are games, discussions, and fun things to do. Come with an open
heart and take back lasting memories and lessons for life.

ACCOMODATION & FOOD – Camp accommodation is basic and comfortable
tents, provided with foam mats and sleeping bags. Bathrooms are separate for girls and
boys. Food is simple, nourishing and vegetarian.

CAMP WEAR - Bring a sweater and jacket to keep warm. Clothes to be comfortably
loose to allow running and indulging in adventure activities. Comfort fit jeans and t-
shirts are great. Shorts, skirts, tight fitting clothes, dainty shoes and sandals are to be left
at home. Bring good sports or canvas shoes for walking. Caps and sunglasses are great.

THE TEAM - Camp parents, leaders and resource persons keep watch to ensure the
wellbeing and benefit of each camper. Freedom is combined with responsibility and
boundaries. First aid is available, and doctors if necessary. Highly experienced and
qualified adventure instructors conduct all adventure activities. The entire program is
designed, managed and monitored by a team of experienced camping and training
professionals dedicated to the personal growth and advancement of young people.

DAILY PROGRAM - Each day begins with individual meditation and group
exercise. The first half of the day is usually spent on an outdoor activity and the second
half has group games and topical sessions, all with strong learning points, fun, and
important takeaways.

TRAVEL – Travel to Manali involves transit through New Delhi. The camp fee
includes all expenses from Nagpur to Manali and return from Manali to Nagpur via
New Delhi.

CAMP DATES – 22nd June 2013 to 30th June 2013.

CAMP FEE – Rupees fourteen thousand only (Rs 14000 /-) for seven days, six nights
in Manali. This includes travelling, camp accommodation, outbound training activities,
and food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) from Nagpur to Manali for the duration of the
camp, as well as cost of all program activities.

The fee excludes any kind of personal expenses, medical expenses, or beverages.

ADULT CAMPERS – For each group of 30 children or teenage campers, two
responsible adults accompany the group to care for them. These adults will follow the
brief laid down while in Manali. They should not be parents of any of the campers, to
avoid needless interference and preferential treatment during the program. Each adult
will pay their own travel, but they are exempt from paying camp fees.

GROUP ACCIDENT INSURANCE – It is good for a group to be insured against
any kind of accident for the duration of travel and the time in Manali. Please meet an
insurance agent in your area to advise you, or contact us.

PHYSICAL FITNESS – Daily walking or jogging for at least three weeks prior to
the camp will greatly enhance the adventure experience.

THE LOCATION - Manali is situated at an altitude of about 6250 ft above sea level
in the upper region of Kullu Valley, through which flows the Beas River. The
surrounding mountain ranges rise up to 15,000 ft and more. In summers the
temperature may range from 30+ degrees Celsius in the sun during the day to about 16
degrees or less at night. Autumn temperatures (October, November) are much less. The
area is a trekker’s delight and a favorite for adventure activities. Google ‘manali’ to

Come to the Indian Himalaya for seven days of excitement, fun, insightful learning
and outdoor adventure.

Location: Manali, Himachal Pradesh

Duration: Seven days, six nights

Activities:

          Visit Naggar Castle and picturesque Roerich Art Gallery
          Spend an evening in Manali Bazaar.
          Trek to the captivating and refreshing Jogini Falls.
          Experience the thrill of rappelling, rock climbing and river crossing.
          Go river rafting on the Beas.
          Fun-learning outdoor activities and games.

Note: The cost includes complete package from Nagpur to Manali and Manali to
Nagpur.

      and sleeping bags.

      Packed light dinner for departure night.

   4. Local transportation (shared jeep) to Naggar, Snow Point (Rhotang Pass, if open),
      and rafting location.

Cost Excludes:

   1. Beverages and personal expenses.
   2. No hotel accommodation.
   3. Medical emergencies and evacuation.

Program Highlights

Starting day: Boarding of train from Nagpur to New Delhi on 22nd June 2013.
Boarding of bus to Manali from New Delhi on 23rd June 2013.

Day 1: Morning arrival in Manali. Transfer to camp site. Settle in. Orientation and ice-
breaker. Nature-walk and group activities/games.

Day 2: Morning trek. Rock climbing and rappelling.

Day 3: Trek to Jogini Falls. River crossing.

Day 4: Excursion to Naggar Castle and Roerich Art Gallery.

Day 5: River rafting. Self-cooking, Camp fire.

Day 6: Excursion to snow point (Rhotang Pass, if open).

Day 7: Closure. Two hours in Manali bazaar and Departure.

There will be onsite outbound activities, games and group sessions every day.
