Busses will collect students at pick-up points in the morning at the respective times. Students need to be
ready and waiting for the bus. Drivers are instructed to keep to their schedules and to advance to the next
pick-up point should students not be on time. Morning traffic is unpredictable and the Bus drivers will do their
utmost to keep students/parents informed should anything unforeseen happen. We ask that parents also
inform the bus driver timeously when students will not make use of the bus transport, or if they are running
late.
Afternoon Route
Busses leave at 15:30 in the afternoon after all school activities have been completed. Sport and Cultural
activities extending after 15:20 can unfortunately not be accommodated by the bus transport. Any student
staying behind at school will be taken to our after care facility (after care rates are applicable), where parents
can collect them after work.
Drop-off points in the afternoon will remain the same (Home address/Estate entrance) as far as it is practically
and humanly possible. No primary school student may leave the bus if not collected by a parent/guardian/
caretaker. We leave students in their care specifically with the understanding that there is supervision at
home.
General guidelines and rules
• No “caddy-type” trolley bags/suitcases are allowed on our busses
o It blocks the isle when students have to exit the bus (huge risk during an emergency)
o It cannot be stowed away (turns into a projectile when using the emergency brake)
o We only have limited seating space available and they take up a huge amount of space
o It damages the busses and tear the seat covers
• Students need to be buckled up at all times and no standing will be allowed
• Claiming any seat for yourself or friends is prohibited
• Pushing; shouting; bullying and hanging over seats will not be tolerated
• Always respect the bus driver and his/her requests
• Any misbehavior will be reported immediately
• Keep the bus clean at all times and please do not litter
• Making use of the bus is a privilege….not a right!!
