                                                   Uber maybe going out of its way to pretend it cares about safety, but the facts speak for themselves

            e have now learned the full reasons for Uber’s
            most recent licence refusal and coincidentally,
            also saw Uber’s farcical and insulting
attempts to whitewash its appalling safety record hit
a new low. It’s “Tech for Safety Summit”, hosted in
Westminster, was nothing but a sham, and Londoners
won’t be fooled by this transparent ploy. In the spirit of
open-mindedness, I asked if I could attend to hear what
they had to say but was told it was full up – despite
there then being empty seats at the event! Clearly, Uber
is not interested in having a proper discussion about
safety.
   Instead, LTDA members turned out in force outside
the event to tell Uber and attendees what they thought
of their safety record. There’s a reason we bang on about
it and given how Uber has failed at every turn to reform
how it operates, it’s worth reminding everyone why they
were refused a licence.

Children Enjoy “Magical” Charity Bash

parties thanks to a host of kind-hearted

London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children.

been staged every year for 48 years and
is supported by an incredible array of
helpers from the taxi trade, the London
Fire brigade, Barking & Dagenham and
Westminster Volunteer Police Cadets and
many more.
