Why does Bühler have an Apprenticeship Program
                         for Customer Service Engineer?

    Bühler has already Apprenticeship Programs
well established in Switzerland and other countries.

It is difficult to find Customer Service Engineers with the
    skills Bühler needs.

What are the advantages of the Customer Service
    Engineer Apprenticeship?
    • Knowledgeable Engineers, filling the pipeline for soon
       to be retired employees
    • Building loyalty
    • Graduating apprentices will already have a network of
colleagues and understanding of business units

Challenges

      - Buhler’s “Luxury” Version of apprenticeship might not be sustainable:
costs / “skin in the game” for apprentices
      - Pipeline filled for Customer Service
      - Need to form other apprentice ship models, need a talent pipeline filled for
manufacturing, for Technical drafting, Technology, maybe even for
        Accounting
      - Need to work together with other companies to form classes at Technical
colleges, to gain leverage at those Colleges – they are willing to set up
        classes for us
      - Unions in Trade professions: great examples at how companies outsource
the formalized training to training centers

 Currently 16 apprentices in pipeline.

      3 graduated classes already: 2015, 2016, 2017, integrated in Customer
       Service, Installation, Engineering, Rebuilds, Purchasing.
