Within my work, i tell stories based on 1–16 selected works 2019–2021

the studies of languages, phonetics 18 CV
and writing. I am fascinated by all the
aspects that occur in the transmission of
information surrounded by the context
of languages. The greatest invention of
mankind is so abstract, that it provides me
with a great breeding ground, from which
I draw curiosity and ideas.
Driven by this irrepressible urge to explore,
I create drawings, paintings, sculptures,
installations, texts and sounds, that are
characterized by poetry, humor and a
casual lightness.
Notes: As an addition to the following works, I included notes from my archival praxis. These writings serve partly as the source and origin for my artistic practice, and are usually developed with a typewriter – you‘ll find them on the left side of the opening page of each work. To some of the present works i also added further digital descriptions. If not further mentioned, photographs taken by myself.

Contemplations about
the beginnings of
language are only
conceivable in a very
irrational way. How do
designations establish
themselves? These
investigations nourish
my artistic practice
again and again -
like the question:
Who came first, the
chicken or the egg?
In this specific
work, I followed the
etymology of a word
and came across
three completely
different stories. From
this, the question
of the formation of
truth develops.

With written language
as a starting point,
it is a logical step
for me to look at
phonetics and
pronounciations.
In my most recent
work to date, I
explore the feeling
that preoccupies me
when I think about
the way I memorize
letters or words, as a
symbiosis of sound,
sign and feeling. This
is why I experience
a shift in me when
speaking non-native
languages.

Aramis Navarro beschäftigt sich Bedeutungsträgern, zu Sprach- Dem Schriftbild zugehörig ist die
in seinem künstlerischen Werk Bildern. Indem er über ein ausgeprägte, visuelle Eigenheit
mit sprachwissenschaftlicher und bestimmtes Wort (z.B. Juxtaposition) der Schreibmaschinenschrift, die
umgangssprachlicher Bedeutung sinniert, generiert er Gedanken und dem Gesamtbild ihren typischen,
von Wörtern sowie mit akustischer Ideen, die er in Notizbüchern festhält. gestalterischen Ausdruck verleiht. Die
Eigenschaft von Lautgebilden: Diese Notizen bilden ein Archiv, das Linie zwischen visueller Darstellung
Sprache und Schrift gilt als sein Ausgangspunkt seiner Arbeiten auf und verbaler Äusserung beschritten
primäres künstlerisches Material. Die Papier sind. Die mit einer historischen bereits die Avantgardebewegungen
Herangehensweise und Intention Schreibmaschine geschriebenen des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts. Wörter
Navarros ist ein Erforschen von Bild- «Wortuntersuchungen» sind und Buchstaben als visuell-verbale
Sprach-Welten. Die gesprochene, frei assoziierte Gedanken zur Auseinandersetzung drangen ins
akustisch wahrnehmbare Sprache Bedeutung des Ausgangswortes, sind Kunstwerk. Wörter in Fragmente
seziert Navarro akribisch. Die Wortverknüpfungen oder Wortbilder, zu zersetzen und neu zu ordnen,
Aussage und Wirkung des die in eine Wechselbeziehung folgten dem Drang, das Kunstwerk
geschriebenen Wortes oder treten. Das Aneinanderfügen von in linguistische und konzeptuelle
Buchstabens übersetzt er in optische Wörtern erzeugen im Kontrast Dimensionen zu erweitern. Auch
und phonologische Schreibweisen. einen bildhaften Effekt. Es sind dies Navarros Schriftsystem folgt einer
Lautwerte oder Lautäusserungen zusammengesetzte Wörter, die aus intuitiven Komposition von Wort-
übersetzt er in skripturale dem Alltagsgebrauch entnommen und Bildelementen, die sich zu
