Camp Ehawee is located in the Coulee Region of Wisconsin in La Crosse County near the small
town of Mindoro, about 25 miles northeast of La Crosse. The area is defined by narrow ridges
separated by steep-sided valleys resulting from water erosion. The camp is set on 283 acres of
forests and prairies intermingled with streams and wetlands. “Ehawee” in the Ho-Chunk
language means “Laughing Maidens.” Camp Ehawee grounds include an outdoor swimming
pool, platform tents, a yurt, Crystal Creek, outdoor amphitheater, softball and soccer fields,
basketball & sand volleyball courts, an archery range, and two lodges for large group use.
Bertha’s quiet atmosphere is perfect for your retreat or meeting any season! With the Black
River as a back drop, your group will surely enjoy the experience. Maximum occupancy is 38.

.Girl Scouts always leave a place better than they found it. You are responsible for any damage
to the buildings/grounds that happen during or as a result of your stay.
