AIR ART FESTIVAL
The Best Dam En Plein Air Art Festival provides artists with the
opportunity to expand their markets, enhance their skills, receive
recognition for their creations, and to experience Lake of the Ozarks,
Missouri in the company of other artists; as such it is open to artists of
all levels. A single fee covers registration to participate in select or all daily
events. Additional fees will be added for workshops, Saturday sales
booth, Gala/Dinner/Awards Ceremony.
Art Lovers: The public is invited to observe the art unfold before their
eyes each day at events hosted by local businesses and neighboring
communities. Not only will you watch the art being created each day, you
may purchase a painting and pick it up Saturday, August 14th, after the
Awards Ceremony. If you cannot be present, you may pick up the
artwork, or make arrangements for the piece to me mailed, at Lake Fine
Art Galleria, 5513 Osage Beach Parkway, Osage Beach, MO. Phone #

Unique event sites will be featured each day during the festival at a
variety of locations from local lodges, on the lake resaurants, wineries,
historic sites, and surrounding towns. Artists will be spread out at 20
different venues around the Lake of the Ozarks. A map of locations will
be available through the online website of Lake of the Ozarks
Convention/Visitors Bureau - www.funlake.com; Lake Fine Art Academy &
Galleria - www.lakefineart.net; and Bill's Art Center and Gallery -

GALLERY WILL BE OPEN DAILY THROUGHOUT THE BEST DAM EN PLEIN AIR ART FESTIVAL, AS
THE REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION CENTER. ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 13TH, THE ARTWORK
WILL BE DELIVERED TO (SITE TO BE ANNOUNCED) TO BE DISPLAYED FOR THE SATURDAY ART
SHOW/SALE, GALA/DINNER AND AWARDS CEREMONY. THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO OBSERVE
THE ARTISTS AT WORK AT THE VARIOUS EVENTS, VOTE ON VIEWER'S CHOICE AWARDS, AND TO

EN PLEIN AIR ART FESTIVAL RULES
AND REGULATIONS
LAKE OF THE OZARKS, MO
Artists will check in to be registered and have canvases to
be stamped, either Sunday at 5 p.m. or daily at 7 a.m. - 11
a.m. at Lake Fine Art Academy & Galleria
All artwork must be done entirely on location “En Plein Air”
(not from photographs) within the region or at the
location of the event.
No pets are allowed at any of the painting sites or venues.
Artists are invited to paint in public areas but must not
obstruct roadways, sidewalks, business entries, etc.
All work must be checked in by Friday, August 13 at
Campana Hall at Lodge of the Four Seasons
All art work must be properly framed, including a hanging
wire, by the daily designated time.
Edges must be painted on ALL gallery wrapped canvases
All works must be for sale.
All artwork presented for judging may be photographed
and reproduced for non-commercial promotion by Lake
of the Ozarks Visitors & Convention Bureau and Lake
Fine Art Academy & Galleria.
Artists are not allowed in the designated location during
judging.
All judging decisions are final.
$8,000 in Monetary prizes will be awarded. Refer to the

CONSIDERATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
LAKE OF THE OZARKS, MO
All artists will have the opportunity to sell their En
Plein Air work and other works of their creation in
person on Saturday, August 14 at a designated area
from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. You may rent spaces and
tables when filling out the registration form or when
you check in. Easels for display are the responsibility
of the artist.
Artists have the opportunity to exhibit their En Plein
Air work at Lake Fine Art Academy & Galleria & Bill’s
Art Center & Gallery. Online sales will also take place
during this time through www.lakefineart.net;

Artists are requested to link the on-line site to their
web pages to promote their work. Lake Fine Art
Academy & Galleria commission for work sold is

This is the first annual En Plein Air Art Festival at Lake of the
Ozarks, in honor of the Bagnell Dam's 90th birthday and
Missouri's 200th birthday. We have 20 different sites for artists
to paint at. There will also be a youth paint out, on the morning
of Wednesday the 11th.. As well as an adult nocturnal paint out
on Friday the 13th, starting at 5 p.m. Artists will have the ability
to sell their work to the public, win prizes, and attend the Gala,
dinner, and award show. We look forward to seeing you there!
