Food is our passion, wine is our pleasure
We are regularly asked what our favourite wine is, our answer would be that there are so many great
wines made in the world that it depends upon the occasion, menu choice and individual palate.
With this in mind, we are proud to have created an exciting wine list with representation from around
the world, selecting a range of wines that offer a variety of grape types to suit many dishes. These
fantastic wines come equally from individual family producers to large winemaking companies, all of
which have an important place on our list
If you would like to talk about any particular wine or need some help making your selection please feel
free to ask. However, we are great believers in “Drink what you like, when you like.”
Should a wine or vintage become unavailable we will be pleased to offer a suitable alternative. Where
possible All prices shown include VAT at the current rate. All wines on the list contain between 8% and
18% Alcohol by volume.
Wines of the Season
Domaine TOURNON
In the south-east of the Australian continent, the state of Victoria offers numerous different
climates, alternating between dry periods and rainy seasons. Other singularities too: kangaroos
move around in groups of 200 in the vines, cockatoos are attracted by the red grapes, frequent
fires, etc. Something had to be done: rigorous water management, netting to protect the vines.
The white:
Michel Chapoutier - Viognier & Marsanne, Australia 2017
Tournon Mathilda Blanc is a white wine blend of Viognier (75%) and Marsanne (25%) grapes.
This wine is pale gold in colour with a fresh, crisp and fruity nose. Supple and fresh on the
palate with a crisp long finish reminiscent of stone fruits and wonderful minerality. This wine
offers complexity, depth and weight yet leaves the palate refreshed and ready for another sip.

The Red:
Michel Chapoutier - Shiraz, Australia 2017
The Tournon Mathilda Shiraz by M. Chapoutier is named for Michel’s daughter Mathilde, as
well as a reference to the Australia bush ballad “Waltzing Matilda”, often thought of as
Australia’s unofficial anthem. This Shiraz shows a brilliant, dark ruby appearance with intense
aromas of ripe black fruits and peppers. The palate is fresh and juicy with silky and elegant

The vineyards around the Reinhartshausen Castle are the sole possession of the Lergenmüller
winery and are planted exclusively with Riesling. Up to 60-year-old vines on loess soils
guarantee the best basis for characteristic Rieslings. This wine is elegant, full-bodied and
unbelievably aromatic. The acidity is balanced with the sweetness of the wine and makes the
aromas of peach and melon on the palate even stronger.

The grapes used to create Te Koko 2013 were harvested from some of the oldest vines
on the Cloudy Bay estate – in Rapaura, Brancott and Renwick. This wine is intense and
distinctive, with vivid floral details, honeysuckle, peach, apricot and melon aromas.
Very juicy lime acidity accents the spicy, honey-scented finish.

Hand-harvested Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah grapes are selected for this aromatic and fresh
rosé. After crushing and destemming, the juice is allowed a short stay on the skins, of about three
hours before pressing; after settling, the resultant very pale pink must is then fermented at low
temperatures to preserve its aromas. Bright and perfumed, the wine offers up peach, candied
orange and hints of red summer berries.
