48th Annual LeadingAge Missouri Annual Conference & Exposition
                             Call for Presentations

Introduction
LeadingAge Missouri invites you to submit a proposal to present at its 48th Annual Conference &
Exposition. This year’s conference will be held September 19-21, 2017 at the Historic Chase
Park Plaza Hotel, St. Louis, Missouri.

The theme of this year’s program is Power of Purpose. Centenarians often remark that they never
could have imagined the countless ways the world has changed throughout their lifetime. Similarly,
it’s impossible to envision the myriad of changes that will occur in the years ahead. Yet, it is our
responsibility to embrace the possibilities of tomorrow. So, with people at the heart of everything
we do, we must strive to expand the possibilities for aging well. This conference offers you the
unique opportunity to share ways to make life better for today’s seniors, while working towards new
ideas for the next generation.

The Annual Conference audience is comprised of experienced and knowledgeable professionals
throughout Missouri who are leaders in aging services organizations including assisted living,
continuing care retirement communities, home and community based services, multi-facility
organizations, skilled nursing and senior housing. The conference is designed to provide valuable
information about new ideas and trends in an ever growing and changing environment. It provides
a fantastic opportunity for you to demonstrate your expertise and share your knowledge and
organizational successes with colleagues.

Presentation Format
LeadingAge Missouri welcomes creative educational sessions that are applicable to a broad range
of aging services. As always, we will be targeting administrators, chief executive officers, Board
members, corporate staff, marketing professionals, DONs, department managers,
philanthropy/fundraising professionals, social service professionals, activity professionals and
others employed by aging service providers. It is our hope that you will be able to provide the most
up-to-date information on the specific topic you will be submitting.

You will have an opportunity to speak for one hour. We request all sessions be dynamic and
interactive, allowing time for the participants to get involved by experiencing your topic through
hands-on audience participation such as small group tasks, working with other co-presenters,
active give-and-take with participants or forming a panel presentation.

The use of handouts and audiovisual equipment is highly recommended. If you will be using a
PowerPoint presentation you will be responsible for providing your own laptop and for all
personal property. LeadingAge Missouri requests handouts for sessions chosen for the
conference be supplied to LeadingAge Missouri in an electronic format no later than July 31, 2017
as all handout and presentation materials will be put on our webpage for downloading by
participants prior to the conference. Handouts not received by this date will be the responsibility of
the presenter to reproduce and bring to the conference.
