Reece Australia is a specialist in multifunctional sportswear and casual fashion. Over the last decade Reece Australia

PROUD PARTNER
At the start of 2015 Reece Australia announced its latest sponsorship agreement: a collaboration with the German
hockey league. The parties have signed an intensive agreement until 2020,that will incorporate the Olympics of Rio de
Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
Reece Australia has worked hard to become internationally recognised. In 2013 Reece signed its first hockey partner-
ship with the Czech hockey federation and only a year later the Royal Belgian Hockey Association followed.

Years of experience have turned Reece into a specialist in developing high-quality and functional team collections. Not
only for the national teams and league clubs, but also for recreational sports. Besides the existing collection, Reece has
its own internal special design department. The Reece special design team is all set for creating new club collections

The design of the Belgian uniforms is closely related with the symbol
of the country. In letters of gold it contains the magic words L’union
fait la force, or Unity is strength. This sentence forms the basis of
the design. Also the mantle of the weapon is reflected in the shirts:
the shape of the white spots on the inside of the red cloak is
incorporated into the mesh of the shirts.
The ladies shirts have a fine piping, and on the men’s shirts it is
broader and powerful. Because of the successful result,
Reece Australia incorporated the details of the Belgian uniforms
into the designs of the Reece Core Shirt (see p. 10+18).

The players of the German teams were also closely involved with
the design of the national shirts. In several brainstorming
sessions, the players and the designers from Reece Australia,
looked for the optimum appearance for the team.
The collar of the shirts is inspired from the beak of the German
eagle. This symbol of Germany stands for unity and in this
particular case that especially means: team spirit. The dots on
the shirt reflect the dynamics of the game, the speed, the highs
and the lows. The ladies shirts have a fine piping, on the men’s
shirts it is broader and more powerful.

quality additions NANO TUBE Technology and IDS.
NANO TUBE TECHNOLOGY
Sticks with this advanced technology are made of hyper-Carbon, for even more power and more sense. Additionally,
hyper Carbon has an impact resistance system, which ensures that the stick can absorb even the biggest impact.
IDS
IDS stands for Intergrated Damping System. The cap on the grip of the stick minimizes vibration and thereby
reduces the risk of arm injuries.
MATERIALS/STIFFNESS
Reece Australia sticks are made of synthetic material combinations of fiberglass, aramid, Kevlar and Carbon.
The exact composition can be found on each stick.

The amount of carbon a stick contains is an important indicator of stiffness.
With a stiff hockey stick there is less energy loss at the bend of the stick.
For this reason a stiff stick is often chosen by hockey players seeking for
strength and power. A less rigid stick provides more ball control. Ball
control is a very important requirement for young and new hockeyplayers
that need to develop their techniques.

The curvature of a hockey stick, also known as the bow, is a very important
feature of the stick. The more crooked the bow, the more technical the
game of the player.
Please notice: playing with a large curvature takes some practice.

LENGTH
Hockey sticks are available from size 24” up to size 36.5”. It’s very impor-
tant, especially for children, to purchase the right size. A stick too short
gives less power and has a negative influence on the posture. If the stick
is too long, it is difficult to control the ball and there’s a chance the player
learns a wrong technique. With the following size chart you can determine
the right stick length. Make sure you ask for advice when in doubt!
