Chris & Beth
About Us
We met in 2004 but did not start dating until two years later in 2006. We purchased our first home in 2008
and were married in 2009. We just recently celebrated our 11-year wedding anniversary. Chris restores wildlife
habitats with a passion for conservation and bioenergy and Beth has worked in higher education for 18 years at
multiple Universities.
We are animal lovers and have had several dogs and one cat over the years. We currently have 3 overly sweet,
cuddly dogs. Thor is a Catahoula Leopard Dog, Eli is a German Short Haired Pointer and Griffin is a mutt/
hound mix. All three of them are great with children and enjoy being outside and playing in the woods on our
property.
Each year on or around our anniversary we take a trip together. We have been to the mountains and the beach
in many different states. We prefer the mountains, but we have recently fallen in love with traveling abroad. We
also go to a pumpkin patch each year and pick out a pumpkin together.
When we are not traveling, we enjoy spending time with family and friends. We throw an annual Thanksgiving
party each year, as well as cook outs and bon fires throughout the year. We spend time maintaining our 5 acres
of property.

Written by Beth: I am grateful to have Written by Chris: Every day I am so excited
Chris as my husband. Chris is the to wake up next to Beth. She makes life
most hardworking person I have enjoyable and exciting; she is always
ever met and enjoys life to the willing to go on new adventures and
fullest. He is constantly meeting make new memories. She is hardworking
new people and making new and super smart, if I’m out mowing,
friends. He will talk to anyone, splitting wood, or just cutting trees in the

Chris’ parents have been married for over 35 years and have two
children. Chris is the oldest and has one brother. His brother
currently lives with us and works with Chris. Chris’ parents live
close by and we see each other frequently.
Beth’s sister, her fiancé and son are currently living with her
mother. They live a few hours away so we video chat almost daily
so we can stay involved in my nephew’s life seeing that he is only
a few months old. Beth’s dad and stepmom also live close by. Beth with her sister and dad

our Home
We have been in our home now for almost 3 years. It is a
farm style ranch home with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms
and a full basement with a built in wood burning fireplace.
We are out in the country with just under 5 acres of land
which is partially wooded. We have a full basement. You
will often find us outside doing something in the yard. Beth
is usually planting flowers and gardening, while Chris is
mowing the grass and trimming trees. We are both always
playing with the dogs, we have all the space in the world to
play fetch.

why Adoption?
No matter how a family is created it is beautiful. Adoption is how we feel our
family should be built. We both have always had a strong desire to be parents
and create family traditions that can be passed down. We have some infertility
issues as well as some health issues that would make pregnancy potentially
dangerous for both a child and Beth. We feel that adoption is the right path
for us.
