Scholastic Learn from Home
Day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking and growing. Each day includes four
separate learnings experiences, each built around a meaningful story or video. Kids can do
them on their own or with their families. You can choose between 4 grade levels:

    •   PreK and Kindergarten
    •   Grades 1 and 2
    •   Grades 3-5
    •   Grades 6+

Kahoot: Make Learning Awesome
Give your kids engaging and easy-to-use learning games to study at home while school is out,
or as an extra to school curriculum. Sign up and get access to millions of free learning games
for the entire family. Kahoot is currently offering the Premium mode for free, which includes
features like the self-paced challenge mode. Your child can complete self-paced games by
themselves at home, on a mobile device or computer. This game mode helps students stay on
track with their curriculum, even when they can’t attend school. Users can search for quizzes by
grade and topics or make their own to share with others!

Tynker: Coding for Kids
Tynker offers Award-winning coding courses that allow children ages 5 to 18 create apps and
games, art, mod Minecraft, even control robots and drones—with 1,200+ activities! Coding is a
great skill for your children at any age with many benefits!

    •   Grade 3:
           o Builds a strong foundation for programming
           o Solve coding puzzles
           o Create stories and animations
    •   Grade 6:
           o Learn more complex concepts and game design

Elementari: Write and Code Interactive Stories
Elementari is a K-12 online platform to read, write, code, share and remix interactive stories
using professional illustrations and sounds. Elementari is providing free access to the entire
platform until May 2020 or until your school opens. Parents and teachers will need to create and
account and fill out this form. Lesson plans are available for grades 2 through 5.

Listening Comprehension Matters
Listenwise is an online platform that supports remote learning with easy-to-use lessons and
quizzes. Listenwise offers a collection of more than 2000 lessons featuring brief nonfiction audio
stories for students in grades 2-12. Lessons address current events and popular curriculum
topics in English language arts, social studies, and science. This program sources podcasts
from NPR and other producers of high quality educational audio content. Listenwise is currently

Twinkl provides take home activities and resources for the following groups:

Learn World Geography the Easy Way!
Seterra is an entertaining and educational geography game that gives you access to over 300

Education Perfect
EP for Home provides personal online tutoring for home schooling for students in grades K
through 12. You can purchase a Personal Learner account for $40 per subject, per month, or all
subjects for $100 per month.

Breakout EDU
BreakoutEDU provides digital games that students can play at home for free. Parents and their
children can filter games by grade and subject area, which is broken down into specific
categories. These categories include (but are not limited to):

    •   Math (Foundational Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra)
    •   Science (Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and more)
    •   Elementary (Elementary Math, Elementary Science, Elementary Social Studies, etc)

Interactive Lesson Plans
Nearpod offers free lessons plans and resources for parents teaching their children at home.
Lessons can be filtered by the following ways:

    •   Grades (kindergarten through 8th grade and high school)
    •   Subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Technology and Computer Science)
    •   Resource Type (Skill Builders, Full Lessons, Assessments, Warm Ups and more)

Science Lessons for Elementary School Kids
Mystery Science is the creator of the most popular science lessons in U.S. schools. To help
those who may be with their children or teaching from home, they have pulled our most popular
science lessons and are offering them for anyone to use for free. No account or login is needed.
However, parents can sign up for an account to get more lessons than the ones listed. Mini
lessons are 15 to 30 minutes long, all digital while Full lessons are 45 to 90 minutes long and
include a hands on activity. Lessons are broken down into 5 groups:

              •    Kindergarten                          •   Third Grade
              •    First Grade                           •   Fourth Grade
              •    Second Grade                          •   Fifth Grade

Free Online Courses, Lessons and Practices
Created by experts, Khan Academy’s library of trusted, standards-aligned practice and lessons
covers math K-12 through early college, grammar, science, history, AP®, SAT®, and more. It’s
all free for learners. The also provide daily schedules and lesson plans for the following age
groups:

    •   Preschool, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade
    •   Third Grade through Fifth Grade
    •   Sixth Grade through Ninth Grade
    •   Tenth Grade through Twelfth Grade

Learn How to Code
Code.org provides free K-12 computer science lessons and games to help students learn how
to code at an earlier age. Activities are split in 4 categories:

    •   Pre-reader
    •   Grades 2 to 5
    •   Grades 6-8
    •   Grades 9+

Have Fun While You Learn!
This is a great online resource that helps pre-K to 3rd grade students with language arts and
math lessons. It also offers a parent-teacher resource center for free, downloadable worksheets
and more. Lessons are grouped into two sections:

    •   Grades 1,2 and 3

Cool Math Games
    •   CoolMath.com offers online math games that help students ages 3+ with basic math
        lessons, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, money and
        more
    •   CoolMath4Kids.com is appropriate for ages 3 through 12
    •   CoolMath-Games.com includes math games for pre-K students

Online Educational Games
Fun Brain is designed for pre-K to 8th grade students to explore topics in math and reading
