                           Darren Ray has been studying and working in

                           with the Bureau of Meteorology in 2002 as a
                           forecasting meteorologist, he managed the
                           Bureau’s climate activities in South Australia
                           from 2007 until late 2019. This involved analysis
                           and monitoring of climate extremes and risks,
                           seasonal forecasting for agriculture, and
                           climate change analysis. As part of this role he
                           contributed to South Australian government
                           climate change policy, including as a member
                           of the Premiers Climate Change Council
                           Technical Panel, and the Local Government
                           Association Climate Change Technical Working
                           group. He is now a private consultant on all
